The PokerStars UK & Ireland Poker League is the ultimate monthly challenge - where the aim is to earn as many points as you can by competing against other players from across the region. Make it to the top of the league and you’ll get to see your name listed on our monthly rankings table - the perfect way to let everyone know just how good you are. You get points every time you enter any of the daily tournaments - the more tournaments you play and the higher you finish, the more points you’ll be rewarded. Finish in the top 100 in any of the three league divisions at the end of the month and you’ll win cash, up to $300 for first place. It doesn’t matter whether you play for real or play money - these exclusive tournaments are open to ALL PokerStars players from the UK and Ireland. You can choose to play in any or all of the following three UK & Ireland Poker League divisions:

    • Division 1 - $1 buy-in
    • Division 2 - Free to enter (2,000 play money chips buy-in)
    • FPP Division - 25 Frequent Player Points buy-in

    Ladbrokes - 'Skalie's Deepstack' Series - Added GUKPT packages

    Buy-in too steep for me - but might interest some. At last! I have the chance to host my own tournament on Ladbrokes Poker. When asked what I wanted this to be - the answer was simple: A deepstack tournament with plenty of time to play it. Join me every week for skalie’s Sunday Deepstack. photo_79820081124_091959.jpg The tournament is a NLHE freezeout with a $100+9 buy in and has a super structure that I hope everyone will enjoy playing. The tournament will start at 1600hrs (GMT) with regular satellites available during the week. Click here for a satellites schedule to skalie’s Sunday Deepstack. The news doesn’t stop there as Ladbrokes Poker is adding some fantastic offline poker prizes giving you the chance to take your game into the “live” arena. You can join me on the GUKPT circuit later in the year pitting your wits against some of the great names in poker. There will be a league system where if you finish 1st (overall) you will win buy ins to three GUKPT events of your choice. See below for a breakdown of the added prizes awarded for skalie’s Sunday Deepstack. For the first twelve weeks, points will be awarded for the top 20 finishers (in addition to the cash payout). The points will go towards the league that will be updated every Monday. Click here for a breakdown of how the points will be awarded. What I like most about this tournament is that it’s on a Sunday – my favourite day. Watching sport on the tv and playing good poker – what more can you want? I have put together a structure that follows the majority of all major “live” poker tournaments. The idea is to not only provide a great game that provides value but also a structure and starting stack that prepares you for playing in some of the biggest tournaments on the poker circuit. Added Prizes Skalie’s Deepstack offers fantastic value with Ladbrokes adding offline seats to the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) where you will be hosted by Ladbrokes’ Jon Kalmar (skalie). The winners will be asked to nominate the GUKPT leg(s) of their choice. Prizes are for seats only and players are required to make their own travel and accommodation arrangements. Note – there are no cash alternatives in this promotion. In the event that a player cannot attend any of the GUKPT legs available in 2009, the prize will be awarded to the player finishing in the next position. The breakdown of the prizes can be seen below.

    The title clearly states "$25,000 added" - I dont see how they could get away with making it $25,000 Guaranteed :unsure I read it as 5 packages added plus 1 extra package for every additional $5000 in the prize pool (and presumably cash prizes for every fraction of a $5000 in the prize pool). It should be easy enough to spot which it is when registration opens and the first person registers (If it's gtd, the prize pool will stay at $25k, if it's added, the prize pool will rise to $25,090) :ok

    Re: Las Vegas 2009 Thread Just looking at hotels for my first visit from Sat 27/6 to Thurs 2/7. With their current promo rates, for the five nights, the four favourites in terms of price are Circus Circus $164, Imperial Palace $187, The Excalibur $201 and the Luxor $238. Not particularly looking for the cheapest possible but obviously not intending to stay in my hotel room much, so just wondered if anyone has stayed in any of the above and can recommend, or not.

    Re: Lathmeister stole PL funds I don't think anyone's going to slate you for having an opinion, well, until WASP arrives anyway. It's how you deal with mistakes that's important. I'm very sceptical about his delayed remorse, he should have known immediately after making his 'mistake' that it was wrong and not compounded it by taking so long to repay. Would the amount of value added tournaments we have on here have anything to do with him wanting to return? Courage is completely the wrong term to use as anyone can hide behind a keyboard and feign remorse. Theft is theft and deserves to be punished - I would imagine that the vicar you refer to only turned his life around after being caught and punshed in some way. I too hope he learns from this.
