  1. Re: Champions League Oct 2 - Oct 3

    Milan will win this game
Wow, thats really convinced me... Have you any actual reasoning or did you just see Milan are playing and get excited? As it is Milan are well capable of winning this game, while Celtic stand top of the league, we haven't been convincing at all. Defensively both full backs have struggled and been targeted as the weak links of the team. Tonight it looks like Jean-Joel Perrier Doumbe, formerly of Rennes will make his first European appearance for Celtic in place of Mark Wilson, he has looked okay domestically but will be a huge test for him tonight. Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink is out for Celtic and our natural replacement for him Chris Killen hasn't looked up to this level of football in his brief outings. Personally I'd play the inform Scott McDonald up front on his own with Aiden McGeady, Nakamura(should be fit) and Scott Brown supporting him from midfield. Milan have been off form aswell in Serie A, but still have much more quality than Celtic. The last twice these sides have met at Celtic Park it has been 0-0, both times Seedorf has missed out through injury or suspension and he is always capable of finding the net from 20-25 years, like he did in Munich and against Manchester Utd last season. Also I'd expect Inzaghi to start and he is far more potent than Gilardino who played the lone striker role last season. I'd go for a draw in this one, Celtic Park is never easy for opposing teams, even the holders although it could be a long evening for us if Kaka and co find some form.
  2. Re: UEFA Cup 1st Round 1st Leg 20/09

Hello, first of all would like to wish everyone good luck on all bets tonight:ok. Ok regarding the Aberdeen - Dnipro match at Pittodrie tonight, I see there are alot of comments regarding how Dnipro will win this match with ease and although I aint saying they dont have a good chance of winning ( they are the favourites so odds say it all ) I just think it may be tougher than everyone is making it out to be. First of all for those of you who have not been to Pittodrie on a cold Septembers night, there have been many a night where the conditions have influenced the outcome of the game. And although I know Ukraine can have its fair share of bad conditions itself I just think the home advantage on a rare European night with expected attendance of 19 thousand or so may just give the dons a small boost ahead of and during this game. Further more Jackie McNamara is also announced fit after loosing two teeth during the weekends game, this is a huge boost as he will be a leader on the pitch with so much European experience with Celtic in his career it can do nothing but give Aberdeen confidence going into this game. Scott Severin is 50/50 to play at the moment and if he does make the team then this will be a massive boost before kick off. In my opinion all these factors build up and if Aberdeen can find some form from last season on the pitch tonight then I can see them getting the draw or even sneaking the win. I dont like to base my bets of stats from the past as other punters do, I prefer to base my analysis game by game on the stats and information on the game itself. So I'm going to be bold and go for the Aberdeen draw tonight. goodluck again with all bets.:hope
Great shout mate :clap:clap:clap:notworthy:notworthy Keep up the good work :cheers
