  1. Re: Australian A League Round 18 (Thu Dec 28 - Mon Jan 1st) I too like Adelaide to win based on the belief that Adelaide have more reason to win this game than Perth. Perth were utterly clueless when they lost ot Sydney had an extra man for most of the game. With the injury to Kovacevic, it causes more problems for the Perth defence. Talent wise, player for player, Adelaide are a better team. Kosmina will have his boys ready to play as they eye second spot. Even though their record is poor away from home, they can make up for it with a victory here. Also over 2.5 and correct score of 3-1 to Adelaide looks good since Perth have scored in every home game. :cheers Adelaide 2.20 Adelaide (-1.5) 4.50 Adelaide 3-1 15.00

  2. Re: Australian A league Round 17 - Thursday 14th - Sunday 17th Central Coast under 2.5 @ 1.77 (centrebet) CC at home: D 0-0 v Queensland D 1-1 v Newcastle W 3-1 v Sydney W 2-1 v Perth W 2-0 v Adelaide D 0-0 v Queensland W 1-0 v Perth Undefeated at home and yet to condede a goal in their last 3 home games. They have problems finishing off their chances Queensland away: W 2-3 v Newcastle D 0-0 v Central Coast L 4-1 v Melbourne D 1-1 v Sydney W 1-2 v Perth L 1-0 v New Zealand L 3-0 v Sydney Nothing flash about their away form and struggle to score. Have only scored 1 goal in their last 6 games, so don't expect much from the good CC defence. Overall the under looks very good. The only thing that stops me from backing CC is that Qld also have a decent defence and CC struggles to put away their chances. Could end up 0-0 like their first encounter so i'll take the under

  3. I'll start up a thread since there isn't one for the first game of this weekend's round: Sydney v Perth (Australian A League) Sydney at home: W 1-0 v Central Coast D 2-2 v Newcastle D 1-1 v Queensland L 1-2 v Melbourne D 1-1 v Perth W 4-0 v New Zealnd W 2-1 v Adelaide W 3-0 v Queensland They have scored in every game at home and have kept a clean sheen in their last 3 games. Perth away: L 3-0 v Queensland L 3-0 v Adelaide W 0-3 v Newcastle L 2-1 v Central Coast D 1-1 v Sydney L 3-2 v Adelaide L 1-0 v Melbourne L 1-0 v Queensland L 1-0 v Central Coast Perth have a poor away record and have lost their last 4 away games, all by one goal. Even though they drew against Sydney last time out, they had one chance and scored one goal while Sydney had the opportunity to score quite a few goals that day. Last weekend was another case where Central Coast should have won by more than one goal, and i like the look of Sydney to win by at least two goals. Pick: Sydney -1.5 @ 2.75 (Centrebet)

  4. Re: Australian A League Round 16 - Thursday Dec 7th - Sunday Dec 10th Adelaide v New Zealand Pick: Adelaide -1.5 @ 1.60 (Centrebet) Adelaide at home: 5W-0D-2L (20-13) NZ away: 0W-0D-6L (3-21) Adelaide at home: W 5-1 v Newcastle W 3-0 v Perth L 1-4 v Sydney W 3-1 v Central Coast W 4-2 v New Zealand W 3-2 v Perth L 1-3 v Melbourne Every game has gone over so this trend is likely to continue. However NZ struggle to score (even though they did score 2 goals last time they played in Adelaide) so in order for that to continue they would need to score 3 goals themselves. Interesting note is that when Adelaide wins at home they have scored at least 3 goals and they win by a margin of 2 goals. I prefer the option for Adelaide to win by 2 or more just in case they miss too many chances and don't get the third goal. NZ away: L 1-0 v Queensland L 1-0 v Perth L 3-0 v Newcastle L 4-2 v Adelaide L 4-0 v Sydney L 4-1 v Perth Another good pick could be Adelaide to win 4-0 (9.00 @ centrebet) since NZ have conceded 4 goals in their last 3 away games.

  5. Re: Australian A League Round 16 - Thursday Dec 7th - Sunday Dec 10th Central Coast - Perth Pick: Central Coast win @ 1.80 (Centrebet) CC at home: 3W-3D-0L (8-3) Perth away: 1W-1D-6L (7-14) CC at home: D 0-0 v Queensland D 1-1 v Newcastle W 3-1 v Sydney W 2-1 v Perth W 2-0 v Adelaide D 0-0 v Sydney Undefeated at home and have already beaten Perth at home. Rarely concede but do create the chances so a goal or two is very possible Perth away: L 3-0 v Queensland L 3-0 v Adelaide W 0-3 v Newcastle L 2-1 v Central Coast D 1-1 v Sydney L 3-2 v Adelaide L 1-0 v Melbounre L 1-0 v Queensland Of their last 4 losses away from home, they have been each by only a goal. Pick: Central Coast to edge this by a goal, probably 1-0

  6. Re: Australian A League Round 16 - Thursday Dec 7th - Sunday Dec 10th Pick: Sydney Looks like we have a few 'tards here so back at you with a homie pick for Sydney :ok Sydney are out for revenge and to spoil the party for Melbourne. The difference here between the SYdey now and the one that lost twice to Melbourne is that there is now 11 fit players and the team is in form. While i rate Melbourne's strike force they are going to have it pretty difficult with the experience of Rudan and Milligan to a lesser extent. I think Sydney's midfield shades Melbourne's only because Brebner is out. He gave them alot more stability there and i doubt Pantelides will have the same influence. As for Melbourne's back four, alot of inexperience that has done well for them but this is a big game with a big crowd and it is not unusual for the younger ones to lose their head. If Zdrilic (and hopefully Petrovski plays) get the necessary support fom their midfield, then they will find holes in the Melbourne's back four. Credit to Melbourne for what they have achieved this year but the champagne corks will need to wait another week before they get popped. Also over 2.5 looks very tempting.

  7. Re: Australian A League Round 16 - Thursday Dec 7th - Sunday Dec 10th Queensland - Newcastle under 2.5 QLD at home: W 3-0 v Perth W 1-0 v NZ D 0-0 v Adelaide L 0-1 v Newcastle D 1-1 v Central Coast L 0-1 v Adelaide L 0-2 V Melbourne W 1-0 v Perth Apart from their first game, every game has gone under and QLD struggles to score while they don't give much away either. Newcastle away: D 0-0 v New Zealand L 5-1 v Adelaide D 2-2 v Sydney D 1-1 v Central Coast W 1-0 V Queensland L 2-1 v Perth W 1-0 v Melbourne D 1-1 v New Zealand Some mixed results for Newastle but 4 out of the last 5 have gone under of which they have won 2, drawn and lost 1. They have already beaten Queensland away from home and possibly could do it again. However the under looks appealing that is my pick. GL all :)

  8. Re: Champions League - Tuesday 5th Dec Liverpool (2.85 @ Centrebet) Both teams are weakened for this game but i expect the class edge that Liverpool has to prevail. They go back to Istanbul where there is alot of emotion from their last CL victory while Galatasaray are in disarray after suffering a defeat in their derby cvlash on the weekend. Chelsea -2.5 (2.10 @ Centrebet) Chelsea will want ot come out and send a message that they are the favourites for the CL and especially Drogba will want to stake a claim as the best striker. The Blues will not show much mercy to theri far weaker opponents in Levski Sofia who have little to play for Roma -1.5 (2.46 @ Centrebet) Roma are in good form at home and face a Valenica side missing at least half of their first choice team. A win here will put them on top of the table and i think they will try to make a statement in this game.

  9. Re: Australian A League Round 15 December 1-3 Central Coastv Sydney CC at home: D 0-0 v Queensland D 1-1 v Newcastle W 3-1 v Sydney W 2-1 v Perth W 2-0 v Adelaide CC are unbeaten at home as they start the 1st of 4 home games. They haven't concede a goal in their last 2 games but have scored at least 2 goals in their last 4 games overall. Sydney away: L 1-0 v Melbourne D 1-1 v Perth W 0-1 v NZ W 1-4 v Adelaide L 3-1 v Central Coast D 1-1 v Newcastle They have an ordinary away form of 2-2-2. However these results are based on last year's champions without some of their key players due to injuries. In their last 3 games when they have had their full strength lineup, they have won all 3 games at home, scoring 9 and conceding only 1. Big games between last years's grand finalists with both teams coming into form at the right time. However i'm going to play Sydney because they have 2 things going for them: MOMENTUM and REVENGE. They were very angry after their loss to CC and talk is they want payback. With the return of some of their key players they have the game and the confidence to win this. CC are a solid side but lack the class of Sydney, however they make up for it with a very good organisation and discipline. I think Sydney edges it but unsure of an under or over

  10. Re: Australian A League Round 15 December 1-3 NZ v Newcastle under 2.5 NZ at home: D 0-0 v Newcastle W 1-0 v Adelaide L 0-3 v Melbourne L 0-1 v Sydney L 0-1 v Central Coast L 0-4 v Melbourne W 1-0 v Queesnland L 0-2 v Central Coast NZ have only scored 2 goals all up (at home) but except for the competition leaders (Melbourne) have not conceded more than 2 goals. While they do struggle to score, they also ensure it is hard for them to be scored against. Newcastle away: D 0-0 NZ L 5-1 v Adelaide D 2-2 v Sydney D 1-1 v Central Coast W 0-1 v Queensland L 2-1 v Perth While Newcastle have been good at home they have have ordinary away. They have scored in every away game but they do struggle to put their chances away. I don't like the short odds of a Newcastle victory so i will go with the under in case NZ get a late equaliser.

  11. Re: Australian A League Round 15 December 1-3 Queensland v Perth under 2.5 goals QLD at home: W 3-0 v Perth W 1-0 v New Zealand D 0-0 v Adelaide L 0-1 v Newcastle D 1-1 v Central Coast L 0-1 v Adelaide L 0-2 v Melbourne Only 1 game has gone over 2.5 goals and that was their first game vs Perth. But Perth were woeful at the start of the season and now are playing much better. Perth away: L 3-0 v Adelaide W 0-3 v Newcastle L 2-1 v Central Coast D 1-1 v Sydney L 3-2 v Adelaide L 0-1 v Melbourne While QLD has a poor home record Perth also has a poor away record. QLD play it pretty tight and defensive and don't give much away. I think that it will be a low scoring game with maybe one goal in it only.

  12. Re: Australian A League Round 15 December 1-3 Pick: Over 2.5 @1.80 (Centrebet) Adelaide's home games: Won 5-1 v Newcastle Won 3-0 v Perth Lost 1-4 v Sydney Won 3-1 v Central Coast Won 4-2 v NZ Won 3-2 v Perth They love to score at home and also tend to open up as well. Except for the Sydney game, they have scored at least 3 goals at home Melbourne away games: Won 3-0 v NZ Won 2-1 v Perth Won 2-0 v Newcastle Won 2-1 v Sydney Won 4-0 v NZ Won 2-0 v QLD Except for the Newcastle and QLD game they have gone over. But Newcastle and QLD have had problems scoring all year and if they had these games would have went over too. Also they have scored at least 2 goals on the road. While i lean to Adelaide winning (especially with Kosmina reminding his players that its payback time for that incident however Muscat will probably not play) i think the over has a greater chance of happening.

  13. Re: Australia - A League Round 14 (Nov 24-26) Perth / NZ under 2.5 @2.15 (Centrebet) The heat usually means less running as players try to conserve energy so they can last the game. I expect NZ to play it very tight up until half time and look to pinch one on the break in the second half. Lot of value on the under considering Perth are not noted for their scoring. While i doubt NZ will score, can't see Perth scoring 3 for this game to go over, that is, unless NZ just give up from the opening whistle.
