  1. Brisbane over 221.5 Both teams play little defence and play a very fast paced oriented offence with alot of shooting from 3 point land. If they hit these early then this will sail over quite easily. West Syd have indcated they will go back to their usual run-and-gun type of offence, while Brisbane don't know any better

  2. Re: UEFA Cup 5th December Everton over 2.5 Both teams have shown their willingness to attack and score goals so far in this cup competition and will be looking to win here to ensure they progress to the next round. Everton have a few doubtful starters like Howard in goal as well as Yobo in defence. Could be some goals in this game. Panathinaikos Panathinaikos have won their first 2 group games and will look to win this game to ensure they finish first in their group and get an easier draw in the next stage. While Lokomotivo need to win to get themselves a chance of progressing they haven't got the quality that the Greeks possess Mlada Boleslav over 2.5 Both teams have scored and conceded in each if their 2 games so far in this competition. Both teams need this win to progress into the next round so it should be an open game. Villareal -1 (EH) Massive class difference between these two sides. Elfsborg have looked out of their depth after losing the last two games 3-1 and 6-1 and now meet probably the best team in the group who need to win to ensure their place in the next round Dinamo Zagreb over 2.5 Dinamo are unlucky to be in this position where they must win this game as they have dominated their last 2 games but have missed a host of chances. Now at home in front of a huge crowd they realise that they will have to put their chances away if they wish to progress. Yet they have had problems in defence and Hamburg should be able to exploit these mistakes the Dinamo defence regularly makes. Basel under 2.5 Both teams are on 4 points and would be happy with a point in this game to pretty much ensure theri progress into the next round. Basee haven't lost a match in any competition since August 19 and are unbeaten in their last 12 European home ties. Brann are undefeated in their past six European away games. Both Basel games have gone under while Brann have gone under in 2 of their 3 games

  3. Gold Coast win by over 10.5 margin GC are in great form winning 4 of their last 5 games and looking to cement a position in the top 8. Last week they smashed Wollongong by 33 points while the Dragons are struggling after losing last game by 29 points against Cairns. In their previous match up, GC won away by 20 points and since then nothing has changed to say that the outcome of this game will be any different Singapore ml Wollongong got smashed by Gold Coast like week by 33 points and now face a Singapore side who caused a huge upset to beat Brisbane. This should give them new confidence to win their first game away for home. Singapore have won their last 2 games in Wollongong and look good at these odds to make it a hat trick

  4. Re: Champions League - 28th November Rosenborg unde 2.5 Rosenborg have been a surprise packet in this group and will pose a further challenge to Chelsea. To make matters worse for the blues, they will be playing on a rock hard icy pitch which should make it even harder for them to play their natural game. Too many mistakes in this game to see many chances created and goals for that matter Liverpool -1 (EH) Liverpool in a must win game should win this by a couple of goals before a huge crowd at Anfield. Liverpool are a team that thrives on the pressure in a must win situation and the very good win at Newcastle should help their confidence coming into this game. Porto don't really need to worry about this game so all the focus is on Liverpool, and they should have the will to win this by a couple of goals Lazio over 2.5 Both of Lazio's 2 home games and Olympiacos' 2 away games have gone over as both teams always look to get score goals. Both teams need a win here and will create chances and hence goals

  5. West Sydney over 207.5 Both teams play little defence and are known to put up some quick points especially behind the arc. Both teams are struggling to win their games because of their defence letting them down so look to both teams to do what they know best: run and gun. Sydney under 191.5 Both teams come into this game with good form especially the Kings, however they may overlook the Wildcats because of their big clash with Melbourne on the weekend. Perth beat the Tigers pretty easily last weekend and come to Sydney on the back of some good results but they do tend to struggle away from home. Both teams have good defences so look to this to be a low scoring game Gold Coast under 190.5 Both teams come into this game with some ordinary results and need to win to stay in playoff contention. They have been disappointing from the 3 point line and this game will present some problems for the inside men. Both teams have some good tall players that will block the lanes and prevent any easy lay ups so some bombing will be required to get points on the board. With the way these two teams have been scoring from there, then this game should be low scoring.

  6. Over 2.5 Newcastle will look to get back to winning ways with a win here against a struggling Perth side. However Newcastle don't have an overly impressive home record as they don't seem to put some teams away even though they create the chances. Perth are struggling but prior to last weekend's game looked like they may have lifted. They had found the net quite few times but also conceded a few too. They will push the Jets all the way but i doubt they will get the victory. The over looks good value here

  7. Wollongong over 203.5 The last 3 encounters has seen these two teams go over the posted total and this should be another free scoring game. While Townsville have struggled to score in their last two games they have met two ofthe better defensive teams in the league and now neet Wollongong who don't play as tough defence as Sydney and Melbourne. Franklin has been very good of late for the Hawks and he should continue to light it up for them

  8. Re: UEFA Cup Matches (Nov 8) Bayern Munich -1 (EH) Bayern Munich have been very strong and should have little trouble disposing of an ordinary Bolton side with a number of players out injured Tottenham The Israeli's have a number of players out injured or likely to be rested for their important domestic game on the weekend. Tottenham will look to this game as another step to winning a european trophy against such a modest opposition Villareal The Spaniards have been playing well and meet probably the weakest team in their group. Villareal have the class players to win this quite comfortably.

  9. Re: A-League Round 11 - Newcastle vs Sydney (Nov 3rd) Agree with RJ above for the over 2.5 With a new coach and the addition of an experienced striker, Sydney come into this game with renewed confidence. Last week saw a very good performance but it also highlighted their main weakness in that concede some goals which could have been avoided (slack marking outside the box). Newcastle sit on equal top of the ladder and will be out for revenge for their loss to Sydney several weeks ago. They have some decent players and look to Griffiths to cause plenty of problems for Syndey defence while Bridges should do likewise at the other end. Could be some goals in this game

  10. Re: NBL Basketball - Round 7 (Oct 31st - Nov 4th) Melbourne under 202.5 Corresponding match between these two teams last year saw the Tigers win 98-83 and go under. Now the Crocs come to play after getting smashed by Sydney last night. Look to Melbourne put on a similar defensive effort to contain the hapless Crocs however the fear is that Melbourne may become complacent after Sydney's win and not do enough to cover the huge line. I'll take the total Adelaide over 206.5 Last 3 games these two teams played the total points scored were 225 (in round 5) and last year 236 and 211. NZ have showed so far that they can score but also have shown they can concede. Adelaide have lost their last 5 games and are desperate for a win. They can't stop NZ from scoring but they will try to match them point for point as they have done in the past in a high scoring game.

  11. Re: A-League Round 11 - Perth vs Wellington (Nov 2nd) Over 2.5 Wellington have already beaten Perth 4-1 at home and now make the 8 hour trek to the west coast of Australia. Both teams have been struggling and will be desperate for a win. All 5 of Wellington's away games have gone over where they have only won 1 of them and lost the other 4. Could go either way this game and as they both need the points it should be an open game

  12. Re: A-League Round 11 - Adelaide vs Queensland (Nov 2nd) Over 2.5 In the previous encounter between the two teams it was an eventful 2-2 draw in Queensland. Now they meet in Adelaide who sit on top of the ladder and the Roar are 5th. Adelaide have won their last 3 home games and drew the other. They have scored in each of their four home games but have also conceded in each of them. Their last 3 games have gone over. Queensland have a decent away record of 2 wins and 2 draws. In each of these games they have scored a goal. Good chance of both teams scoring and then pushing on for the over.

  13. Re: Champions League 23rd/24th October Liverpool -1.5 Huge win for the Reds when they beat their Merseyside rivals. They have had a dip in form but this will bring them back knowing they must wini this game. Look for a fired up Gerrard to prove Benitez wrong and the rst fo the team to follow, especially defensively become more tighter. Besiktas hasn't produced much to say they will worry Liverpool as long as Liverpool come out ot play, like i think they will Porto Too much is being read into Marseille's win over Liverpool who were very ordinary that night. Marseille have been struggling domestically and with the calibre of players that Porot have, they should have enough to win this. Chelsea over 2.5 Great value on the over as Chelsea look like they are starting to gain some form but there is still some concern with their defence given the loss of Terry and Cole. While i like Chelsea winning this, Schalke are good enough with Kuranyi up front to cause Chelsea quite a few problems and get a goal. Valencia -1.5 Too much class in the Spanish side not to go to Norway and not get a comfortable win. Rosenborg are not as good as they were in previous years while Valencia continues to churn out good results with some very good players. After their suprise loss at home to Chelsea they need a win to continue their quest to progress through to the next round. Real Madrid over 2.5 Madrid have some very good players with the ability to create chances and score quite a few goals. Olympiakos showed they won't be easybeats after their win over Bremen and as they both shown the inability to keep clean sheets in their respective previous games, then i doubt they will do so here. Werder Bremen over 2.5 Both sides have shown that they too can score but also do concede and it is another game where the absence of several players should see more mistakes made that normally wouldn't happen. Milan over 2.5 Milan has an experienced but ageing backline and they could face some problems in meeting the Ukrainians who head the grooup with 2 wins. The Italians have been pretty lacklustre in their domestic and european games and while they have the calibre of players to score goals they face a team who can also score. Milan will look to get both campaigns back on track with an improved performance but there isn't much confidence that they will win this as a high scoring draw is possible as is an away victory Benfica under 2.5 The confidence of Celtic wil have taken a battering after their loss to their Scottish rivals on the weekend. Their away form in european comepeition is quite poor and they have struggled to score. They will look to play the first half very conservatively and build on from there in the second half. Benfica are yet to get their first points in the CL and it suggests that they too are struggling. Can't see mnay goals in this game.

  14. Re: NBL Basketball - Round 5 (Oct 17th - 21st) Sydney -13.5 Under 197.5 3rd placed Sydney are 5-1 and meet 9th placed Adelaide who are 2-4. Sydney will look to bounce back after their only loss to West Sydney against Adelaide who are yet to win away. Adelaide have several players out while Sydney will be primed to get back in the winner's circle. They will look to get their defence back in order after letting West Sydney hit them too many from outside the arc, and then use this as a basis to get their offence going

  15. Re: A-League Round 9 - Newcastle vs Queensland (Friday Oct 19th) Over 2.5 Both of Newcastle's last two home games have gone over and they have scored 5 goals in the last 15 mnutes of play which suggests they always have goals in them. Queensland have won their last two games and are starting to find the back of the net. They will look to continue their good form against the Jets Already the two teams have played for a 1-1 draw in Newcastle earlier in the season so look to either team to score one better

  16. Re: NBL Basketball - Round 5 (Oct 17th - 21st) Sydney +9 and under 202.5 Two unbeaten teams with Brisbane (1st) playing Sydney (3rd). Plenty of rivalry between the two teams ands it should continue here. Both teams will play it rather cautiously, especially the Kings who know that a team like Brisbane can score at will, so will look to prevent too many open looks. Brisbane while they are an exceptional team on offence, are also very good defensively and thus this should be a low scoring game. Last year in the semi finals Brisbane won both games against Sydney 93-86 (away) and 91-84 (home) so similar outcome is expected Melbourne -13.5 and under 199.5 Melbourne have already beaten Singapore 117-94 this season to reflect the class difference bewteen the two sides but this game should be alot lower scoring as Singapore will look to put more focus on defending if they want to be competitive. The Tigers have had a pretty tough schedule playing most of their games on the road so look for some lethargy to set in. The Tigers however still have the depth to beat the Slingers by the line but the scoring should be alot less.
