Re: It's a Knockout!!!
Easy win for ancic, never looked in doubt, so we roll on to round 2 and more confidence we may get through this one. Re: It's a Knockout!!! Right going to implement a rule change with regards to 5th fav's on the tennis. From this point on i will be laying the 5th SEED rather than the 5th fav as there is no liquidity in the outright markets to getting an idea on who the target is in womens tennis. Thought also this would represent a fairer way of showing a true 5th fav in both sets of tournaments. Tournament 3: Grand Prix De Sar (Morrocco) Target: Timea Baczinsky First Match: Baczinsky v Nadia Lalami (Tues 29th 11am) Bet: Lay Baczinsky @ 1.11 Stake: £10.53 (Liability £1.16) Tournament 4: ECM Prague Open Target: Karin Knapp First Match: Knapp v Jill Craybas (Tues 29th 10am) Bet: Lay Knapp @ 1.42 Stake: £10.53 (Liability £4.42) Open Bets: 4 Total Liability: £15.21

Re: It's a Knockout!!! As usual there is no liquidity in the WTA markets outright, which means no inclination to who is 5th fav. This is becoming a regular occurence, what i may consider doing is laying the 5th seed in the tournaments

Re: It's a Knockout!!! Time to gear up for next weeks tennis tournaments. There are scheduled to be four tournaments this week but as always will have to wait a bit closer to the start time for the womens tennis to be confirmed, so for now will just put up the mens. Tournament 1: BMW Open Germany Target: Evgeny Korolev (Outright Odds 16/1) First Match: Korolev v Phillip Petzschner (Tues 29th 11am) Bet: Lay Korolev @ 1.7 Stake: £10.53 (Liability £7.37) Tournament 2: Open Sabadell Atlantico Target: Mario Ancic (Outright Odds 9/1) First Match: Ancic v Mischa Zverev (Mon 28th 10.45am) Bet: Lay Ancic @ 1.31 Stake: £10.53 (Liability £3.26) As i mentioned previously, I could double my bank this week if everything goes well, so as always:hope Be back with the womens tennis updates when the liquidity improves and prices have settled down.

Re: Total Goals From Half Time wow:loon, you did do your research madness!! Looking at those stats then i must have been extremely unlucy to have picked 2 games that were 1-0 at half time and both stayed the same way:wall. Maybe some filtering of leagues woul have to come in to play. It will be interesting to see HooLooVoo's take on this and hopefully a more successful attempt;). It's not been a complete waste of time though as it has planted the seeds of another possible glory hunt i'm considering. Thanks for the info though madness, definately makes interesting reading.:ok

Re: Total Goals From Half Time
Good luck HooLooVoo, hope you fair better than me.:okGood luck with the recovery bet! I am about to start something similar, more info tonight...
Wow!!:loon 2 quick losers bring this GH to an end, wasn't expecting that. Must be some kind of a record.:lol need to go away and give this some thought. Not the best of starts. Wasn't expecting to do a recovery bet at this stage. Bet 2: Gefle v AIK Stockholm 0-1 HT:@ 0-1FT 2+ goals @ 1.29 £42.87 to win £12.43 Could be the quickest end to a GH ever:lol -

After a brief conversation with Madness about the amount of 2nd half goals vs 1st half goals, I have decided to start a new glory hunt with the view to going 1+ goal more on whatever the score is at half time.;) For eg 0-0 HT - Bet is 1+goal 1-0 HT 2+ goals 2-0 HT 3+ goals and so on. As madness mentioned in his thread this is briefly touched on in Paul Steele's book Profitable Football Betting in which he says:_ "There is a pattern to these results, which would suggest that the more goals in the first half the more there will be in the second. Conversely, the less goals there are in the first half the less there are in the second. This clearly shows the number of second half goals is dependent on the number of first half ones." It's this view i'm going to be betting on. All bets will be taken from Betfair's in-play market and i will start with a £50 start bank, aiming to win 5% of the bank. Where odds allow i will use 2-attempts to recover any losses. Unfortunately i'm off out at 12:@, so most of this will start early this evening but will get it under way with the alaves v elche match this morning. As always all comments, suggestions which might improve this in any way are welcome.:ok

Re: It's a Knockout!!!
Yeah i ended that thread coz i wanted to try something else as was getting a bit bored with it after 3 weeks. I think it showed that with careful staking and good selections it was possible though. I'm going to keep this one running though as i'm happy with the way it's progressing and i'm also looking at starting another one soon to run along side this one to do with goals in the 2nd half compared to the halt time score.Talking about previous threads, whatever happened to your target one turnlux?? where you were trying to pull a certain profit every week. Seems whatever system you use, you always pull a decent profit out!! :clap Even if it is at the expense of Mr Higgins :tongue2 -
Re: The 8 Stages Of Madness
The theory of 'more 1st half goals= more chance of another in the 2nd half' is proving to be a successful ploy. Dare i say that maybe even a GH could be in the offing??:lol Good luck with the rest of the stages mate anyway.:okWeymouth vs Altrincham - going on the previous theory of 'more 1st-half goals = more chance of another in the 2nd-half'. Altrincham need a win to stay in the league really, so will go all out attack I woul have thought. -
Re: Increase the bank by 1% every bet
Unlucky with the run on the horses there aldric, shame your not continuing this. As everybody has pointed out on numerous threads, we all know discipline is the key, it's sticking to it long term that is the key. I've struggled with that in the past and probably will do in the future, so can't blame you for continuing off thread. anyway good luck mate, hope your back with some more soon.:okResult - Nowhere.... :wall Ah well, completly rubbish... deserved to lose that..... Anyway, going to keep the remainder of my balance and £36 profit and work on discipline. I am going to continue this off the thread looking to win just .5% -
Re: It's a Knockout!!!
Very nice results' date=' keep it up mate![/quote'] Cheers HooLooVoo:ok Can we expect anymore GH's from you soon?? -
Re: Long Term Football Drip Glad to see your still going strong scotty:ok This really is an excellent thread, simple but very effective. Keep up the good work matey.

Re: It's a Knockout!!! Cheers for the comments boys. Going well so far but i fear the winner maybe just around the corner.
Well done that man, Ryan Day finishes off John Higgins to put another £10 in the kitty. Quite surprised that Day came back after being 5-2 down after the first session. But it all counts.;) Overall stats stand:- Start Bank: £100 Current Bank: £170 P/L: £70 Tournaments: 7 Wins: 7 Most Rounds Taken to Achieve Target: 3 Highest Liability: £113.34 So apart from Ferrer getting through the first 2 rounds of the Monte Carlo Masters, then the 5th fav in the outright tournament betting so far hasn't lasted more than 2 rounds. You watch the next one will win now.:lol Back with some more tomorrow when there are 4 more tennis tournaments due to start next week and if prices and liquidity allow i may even double the bank but as always thats a big MAY.:okShould know who ferrer will be playing in the next round of the monte carlo masters today when malisse and safin finally get on court. But for now details of my 2nd bet in the world snooker championships. Tournament: World Snooker Championships 2nd Round Target: John Higgins Match: Higgins v Ryan Day (Thurs 24th 7pm) 8-13:nana:nana Bet: Lay Higgins @ 1.69 Stake: £16.18 (Liability £11.16) to win profit target plus losses from 1st rd. -
Re: It's a Knockout!!!
Thanks aldric, wasn't sure to be honest seeing as ferrer had beaten nadal in his last 2 games and they were both on clay. To be honest i forgot to keep a track of the outright price on this one. I prefer to do it round by round as you can win your target for minimal outlay where as laying from the beginning means having to shell out around £150 in one go.:okGood luck, shouldn't have too many problems the way Nadal has been playing!! Does this show that it is better to lay the 5th favourite in the outright market? What was he to lay in the outright market?
Phew!! i'm a relieved man today, Nadal done the business and i recovered my lost stakes whilst also achieving my target profit. Start Bank: £100 Current Bank: £160 P/L: £60 Now for higgins to get knocked out:lol I think if he gets past Ryan Day, which looks likely then it's hendry or Ding Junhui next.Tournament: Monte Carlo Masters Tennis Quarter Finals Target: David Ferrer Next Match: Ferrer v Rafael Nadal:nana:nana 1-6 5-7 Bet: Lay Ferrer @ 7.4 Stake: £17.71 (Liability £113.34:loon) Nadal leads the h2h 4-3, but hasn't won in the last 2. Nadal leads 2-1 on clay and has a better year to date record. I'm praying that tomorrow he makes it 5-3 and 3-1 on clay.:notworthy -
Re: It's a Knockout!!!
I might be about to find out as ferrer beat tipsarevic and now faces nadal. The liability will be huge.:rollinCool, just wasn't sure if you could cover the liability if both ended up in the final. Good luck and I hope you get to your £200 quickly and without any pain!!
I think we have reached do or die time on this system now. If the next bet loses then it's all over for me. Tournament: Monte Carlo Masters Tennis Quarter Finals Target: David Ferrer Next Match: Ferrer v Rafael Nadal Bet: Lay Ferrer @ 7.4 Stake: £17.71 (Liability £113.34:loon) Nadal leads the h2h 4-3, but hasn't won in the last 2. Nadal leads 2-1 on clay and has a better year to date record. I'm praying that tomorrow he makes it 5-3 and 3-1 on clay.:notworthyTournament: Monte Carlo Masters Tennis 3rd Round Target: David Ferrer Next Match: Ferrer v Tipsarevic:( 6-4 6-0 Bet: Lay Ferrer @ 1.4 Stake: £17.06 (Liability £6.82) the h2h stats on this one don't look good with ferrer winning their previous encounter in straight sets and only losing 3 games in the entire match. So as always :hope. Higgins resumes tomorrow in the snooker against day so should have a good idea how that one will be going too. -
Re: The 8 Stages Of Madness I'd love to see you make a profit on this one madness:ok Just for all the meticulous approaches you take on your systems. Good luck buddy.

Re: 1% 'Steady Drip' From little acorns, Big oaks grow (or something like that!!:lol) Nice going Hodgey, keep up the good work.

Re: Scotty's Attacking Drip!!! Unless there is an avalanche of goals in the last 10 mins then it's time to chalk another one up scotty. Well Done mate:clap

Re: It's a Knockout!!!
I started with a bank of £100 and it's currently up to £150 after previous tournament wins not including the 2 i'm doing at the mo. I've also got £50 which i use for separate bets from this system, which if i need to i will call on to cover any liability's i have. After that mate it's all gone. So once one of the 5th fav's wins or i lose my bank beforehand (which ever comes first) i will then call it a day and try something else. I'd like to get to £200 so i can bank £100 which would give me another go when that eventual 5th fav does win. Hope that doesn't sound too negative, i'm not fooling myself in to thinking there won't be a 5th fav to win a tournament. It will happen, i'm just hoping to get a little run going, make a profit and walk away with at least what i started with, so that i maybe will be able to look at the results make a tweak or two and come back and have another go.:okGood luck again :hope Just curious, as you are doing 2 lay's at the same time if one of them doesn't lose soon will you be able to cover the liability?
