    :wall Wow what a bad start that was!! Oh well no serious amount of money lost. Will try this again with another £10 but this time will use slightly higher odds of 1.25 which will give me a recovery attempt if i get a loser

Having looked at the h2h have decided on Radwanska v Bondarenko. So here goes:- Bet 1: Australian Open A.Radwanska to beat K.Bondarenko £16.67 @ 1.08, Target £0.83 Was actually an extra 67p in there so added that into. :hope for an opening winning bet.

    Been away from posting for a while due to moving house and having babies and whatever, but now things have settled down a bit maybe i can get back to trying to win some money to pay for all these nappies and all the decorating ideas the wife wants to do!!:eek Basically going to run along the same lines as a system madnesstiger ran a little while ago which was having either 1,2 or 3 attempts at pre determined odds to add a set percentage to my bankroll. For my attempt at this going to start with a bankroll of £16 (leftover in betfair from previous hunts). I'm going to try and add 5% to my current bank per bet with odds no lower than 1.05. Using odds at 1.05 means whole bank goes on each time, leaving no margin for error. First target will be to get to £30 which will allow me to withdraw £10 for the inevitable loser and have a free go and then carry on with £20 bankroll and set a new target. To get to £30 i reckon it will take me around 13 bets and a whole lot of luck.:ok

There is another 6 tournaments before the end of the month, which i'm hoping to get involved in, which could potentially boost the coffers to around £280:loon, But i would like to maybe get involved in the golf or motor racing to boost my interest a bit more. I've just got to work a way where you can bet on these from tournament to tournament. Depending on the odds, maybe worth laying the 5th fav in the outright to smaller stakes.:ok

But i have been wrong before.:lol So that'll be 6-0 6-0 to ferrer then.:ok
    Wish i'd put a few quid on verdasco now in a separate bet, Very impressive win and also a winner for me. Which brings this weeks tournaments to an end after the cock-up with the wta rome open. Overall Stats now stand:- Start Bank: £100 Current Bank: £220 Profit: £120:loon :ok

    Just checked the WTA website and apparently it looks as if they will squeeze 2 matches in to 1 day, but according to the order of play the jankovic match won't take place till at least after 8.30pm so should still be able to make the bet for the first round.:clap
    :@:@ They changed the time of the match to 4.10pm, and coz i was at work i missed the first bet. So the Womens tournament is void this week.

    here is the first bet for the Hamburg Open tournaments for this week. Tournament 1: Hamburg Open Target: David Ferrer First Match: v Minar (Tues 13th May 12.30pm) Bet: Lay Ferrer @ 1.29:$ 6-3 6-3 Stake: £10.53 (Liability £3.05)
    Easy win for ferrer in straights sets means i move on to bet 2 for the tournament. Not sure whats happening with the Jankovic bet as still waiting for the first round to be decided. If they decide to play 2 matches in 1 day to catch -up with the schedule then i may void the womens tournament as work commitments will prevent me from getting the bet on.:sad Tournament 1: Hamburg Open Round 3 Target: David Ferrer Match: v F.Verdasco No markets and odds up for this one yet, so expect this to take place on thursday, so will update before then. Having had a look at the stats it shows that they are 3-3 on the h2h with Verdasco 3-2 up on clay:eek. Ferrer has the better year to date record but year to date match stats look even. This could be a tricky tie for ferrer, which is good news for me.:ok

He also has a better year to date record and better year to date game stats in what i see as the crucial areas.:D Jankovic will not play till wednesday as srebotnik and pennetta do not play till mid day on tuesday.:ok So i'll be back then with that first bet and the result from ferrer v ivo minar.

Tournament 1: Hamburg Open Target: David Ferrer (Yet again ;)) First Match: v Minar/Lopez (Tues 13th May) Tournament 2: WTA Rome Open Target: Jelena Jankovic First Match: Srebotnik/Pennetta (Tues 13th May) Will update final opponents and bets for these matches once the ties have been settled from the first round.:ok

    As expected serena breezes through yet again. This is seriously looking as the one that could end the wining streak, especially after both Kuznetsova and Henin were knocked out today and they were both in serena's half of the draw. It looks as if i am looking for an upset or maybe Ivanovic to beat her in the final. Anyway on to the quarters:- Tournament: Qatar Telecom German Open Target: Serena Williams Next Match: v D. Safina (Fri 9th May):nana:@ 6-2 1-6 6-7 Bet: Lay Williams @ 1.2 Stake: £14.93 (Liability £7.47) Have decided to take an insurance bet in case williams goes all the way. If she wins then i may make a little profit. If she goes out then it will be a small loss. Serena Williams is now the favourite on betfair and is available for 1.97 to win outright. Insurance Bet: Serena Williams to win the Qatar Telecom German Open @ 1.97, Stake £20
    Well wouldn't you just know it. Serena goes and loses the next match:wall. Never again will i be tempted into taking an insurance bet, should of just stuck with the plan and gone with it. Recovered lost stake money and £10 target but lost £20 on the outright so for the first time have finished a tournament with a loss. New stats stand:- Start Bank: £100 Current Bank: £210 P/L:£110 All in all i haven't won anything but haven't lost anything this week as today's loss just cancelled out ferrer's loss/win in the previous tournament:sad. Start a fresh next week with some more tournaments and a promise to never take an insurance bet again. Should of listened to aldric!!:lol

    If you are that concerned that she is going to win why didn't you just stop where you were. From what I can see you were only £6ish down? Just cancel your other bets, run and move on to your next tournament.
    It's a good point aldric, but once i get involved in these tournaments i like to see them through to the end, win or lose. That may sound stupid but with the liability so low on this one there is still the possibility of a profit to be had all be it a small one but then the same goes for the loss. :)
