After a poor day yesterday with the E/W shot placing and the win horse not running any sort of a race we are back with 3 horses today! Exeter 14:30 Berliet Express 0.5pts E/W @12/1 (4 places available) A new yard and new country for this horse as it comes over from Ireland, it’s form was fair over there and if any sort of improvement is shown here then they have a serious chance of coming close, the ground is also a big plus as their best work has came on good or better ground! Hereford 16:10 Cresswell Queen 0.5pts E/W @7/1 (3 places available on coral) Cresswell Queen has struggled for form over the last few runs however a lot of these races can be excused, last time out they obviously didn’t like the ground conditions and struggled for stamina, and the time before was travelling perfectly fine before unseating the rider, the firmer ground and the addition of a 5 pound claimer could be a massive positive here! Wolverhampton 16:25 Abbeys Dream 0.5pts E/W @15/2 (4 places widely available) Abbeys dream has been in cracking form recently and is looking to make it 2 wins from 3 races, last time out they came up against a good horse trained by William Haggas and ran a good race till later on under Hollie, a similar performance here should be enough to come out on top!

After a good day today with 3 horses placed 2 wins one at 15/2 and one at 11/4 and the one placed horse drifting to 18/1 Anyway onto todays selections: Plumpton 16:15 Arqoob (11/2 4 places available at this price on sky) 0.5 points E/W the first horse Ive been looking at is Arqoob, this horse ran 3 times during the summer on the flat meaning that it won’t be short of a run and should be fresh, last time they ran over hurdles they finished a decent 3rd, this was in a class 2 contest and also on softer ground which they will be experiencing here, another interesting point is it’s Bryony Frost’s only ride on the card Windsor 14:55 Spoof (11/4) 1 point win Spoof is a mud baby and loves running on very soft and heavy ground which is good news for what we’ve got to come here! This race is fairly competitive however I see spoof coming out on top, Korker who is currently fav at the time of writing this is back in handicap company of top weight which I think will catch up with them so spoof is the pick here! and that’s it for my selections for Monday 23rd October, remember these are just my selections, enjoy another great days racing!

Catterick 15:20 Magical Effect E/W (can get with 4/5 places on certain bookmakers) Magical effect came close up last time out and has been running on a fairly consistent level for a while now, the mark of 56 I still feel is very workable and this course is one of their favourites!
