Hi guys, just a quick update from my post in the new players thread.  I'm still waiting for the go ahead with prizes etc for this year so we won't be starting til (at least) next weekend.  I'm planning to run 3 seasons each of 10 weeks competition, with a week off in between, so we do have some leeway in start time. Probably best to miss the first games anyway as anything could happen!
In the meantime if you are a new player wanting to join in or a returning player who previously didn't complete the season, please post in the new player thread.

Any new players wishing to join in please post in this thread and you will be allocated to Division 7 or 8 for the new season.  This includes new members, members who have not joined in before, and those who were eliminated last season due to no shows. 
All players who completed the 20/21 season will automatically be allocated a new division based on your finishing position last season. Last season's finishing positions are posted below as a reminder.

Please read the rules if you're not familiar with them but basically, you need to pick a different team each week that you think will win their match.

Everybody gets one 🛟 lifeline 🛟 just in case they forget to post one week, if that happens you will be on the highest team in the current league table that you have not already selected in a previous week. Also you can play a 🃏Joker🃏 on one nominated week only, so if you’re struggling to find a good team, you take the draw aswell as your team winning. Be careful how you use that as once its gone, its gone. Finally, if you happen to 😢 lose 😢 you can play the following week, in a consolation competition. 🤩 No 🃏Joker🃏 or 🛟 lifelines 🛟 in that comp so make sure you don't lose!! 😉 Good luck

⚽ finally returns with the first Premier League match next Friday (11th August) as Man City take on Burnley. Which means....
A brand new Last Man Standing will kick off with 1st selections on Friday 11th August 2022. 🏆
We will be also be running a Consolation competition for those knocked out of the main comp. 🥈
All rules will remain the same so any newcomers should give those a read in the meantime.📜
The prize for winning the LMS Competition will be £250 which will be deposited into you PayPal account. The prize for winning the Consolation Competition will be £50. (No other method of payment considered) Winners of both competitions will also receive Punters Lounge Merchandise The season starts on a Friday, but the deadline will be Saturday 12th August.
If you want to choose a team for Friday, your deadline will, ofcourse, be Friday.
