US Masters 2025 (Thu, 10 Apr 2025 – Sun, 13 Apr 2025 )
tschurchy replied to CakeCakeCake's topic in Golf Betting
Personally, I like to back golfers who have previous of playing well around Augusta. It's a course that can throw the form book out of the window and get a tune out of certain players (e.g. a decrepit Mickelson shooting a final round 65 to finish second in 2023) With this in mind, my main bet is on Ludovic Aberg. He came second last year in his first Masters so hopefully he'll come back much wiser and savvier to go one better - he's a major champion in waiting if you ask me. Bet365 are offering a 25% price boost so managed to get just over 23/1 e/w (top 8). Just in case Aberg fluffs on Amen Corner, I've gone one for a few other each ways to keep things interesting: Justin Rose (80/1) Akshay Bhatia (60/1) Jordan Spieth (33/1) Good luck all! -
It's Grand National day and I'm about to go and have a beer in the sunshine. Could life be better? Well, of course! A cheeky four-fold to seal off the day would be magical. I've been looking at the football leagues over the past 8 games and picked the below games in an acca: Bristol City to beat Watford - Bristol top the home form table with 6 wins in their last 8. Birmingham to beat Barnsley - Birmingham top the form table overall and the home form table having won their last 8 home games Charlton to Lincoln - Charlton are second in the form table overall and the home form table having won their last 8 home games Tamworth to beat Maidenhead - Tamworth sit second in the overall form table and the away form table where as Maidenhead are 22nd having lost 4 of their last 8 home games. 7.53/1 at Betfred Good luck all!

Nott'm Forest to beat Man Utd at 13/10. Surely that's a banker??? The City Ground will be a hostile atmosphere under the lights and Forest will be full of confidence after getting to the FA semis - unbeaten in 5 games too. The only thing that could come into play is the fatigue of extra time.

Been moving house all weekend so just catching up on the result. Gutted to see Connors two shots outside the top 5/each way places 🤦♂️. Nice win @Zilzalian 👏. Hope this means Hovland is back to his best.
-
Corey Connors has finished in the top 5 the last two tournaments and looked in good nick at the players. I’m tempted to take him at 33/1 (Betfred).
-
Apologies @Zilzalian. I didn’t realise you also had a man in the mix. Good luck too!
-
Good luck today @tonythepaint! If yesterday was anything to go by we’ll see a lot of chopping and changing on the leaderboard.

I'm going for a high-odds four-fold this weekend. All selections are based on good home form and poor opposition away form: Nott'm Forest to beat Ipswich Blackburn to beat Cardiff (sorry @StevieDay1983) Reading to beat Stevenage Bradford to beat Tranmere Since my last three accas lost by one I'm trying out Betfred at 16/1 as they give you a free bet if you lose by one. Good luck all! -

Crawley vs Wycombe Wycombe’s average 2.75 goals in last 4 away games and 3.25 goals in their last 8 away games and top the away form table over the last 8 games. Crawley average 2.5 goals in last 4 home games and 3.25 goals in last 8 home. Over 2.5 goals (Crawley vs Wycombe) Walsall vs Chesterfield Both are without a win in five but Walsall are strong at home and score goals. They’re unbeaten in their last 8 home games and score over 2 goals per game on average. There’s also a huge disparity between them in the ELO Ratings over their last four games. Walsall Win Leyton Orient vs Lincoln City Leyton Orient 3rd in the home table meanwhile Lincoln city are 19th away from home Leyton Orient to win Luton vs Sheff Utd Sheffield United are pushing for promotion and Luton are struggling home and away. Sheff Utd to win Accumulator - 17.64 at bet365 -
Happy Friday All! I've been informed that the ever-present @harry_raghas been struck by a bug and so I'm standing for him here (get well soon!). Right then, let's see your top picks and why for the weekend. There's been some great insights in this forum recently so keep them coming. Good luck all and don't forget to check out the ELO Ratings on this weekend's games.

Decided to take out Sheff Utd in the end. Still a 6/1 treble so I’ll be happy if it comes in. -

Great read @ozorgnax. Based on your research I'll join you Bilbao, Sheff Utd, and Notts County, but I'm also going to throw in Everton (10/11) and Walsall (8/11) into a 4-fold. Everton have back-to-back wins under Moyes whereas Leicester are one win in six - granted they beat Spurs in their last game but Spurs are ravaged with injuries - and sit 18th in the form table. They've also lost 7 out of 11 games away from home. The ELO Ratings are backing Walsall heavily against Salford. Walsall have lost their last two games but both of those games were away from home. At home, Walsall have won 11 out of 14 games so at 8/11 they're worth adding in. Athletic Bilbao Notts County Everton Walsall 13.19 at bet365. -

I like the look of Fulham/BTTS tonight. Fulham are strong at home having only lost 2/11 games and average at least one goal scored and conceded per game. Meanwhile, United’s away form is terrible having won just 2/10 away games and also averaging one goal scored and conceded per game. The ELO Ratings can’t split the two teams so a draw could be on the cards, but I’m going for Fulham because the crowd will be up for it under the lights and they’re a better side than Rangers who gave United a game on Thursday. 10/3 at bet365. -

In the meantime I’ve got for a four-fold on at 7/1 with bet365: West Brom to beat Portsmouth: Big favourites according to ELO Ratings Norwich to beat Swansea: Big favourites according to ELO Ratings Arsenal to beat Wolves: Wolves are 18th in the home form table Newcastle to beat Southampton: Newcastle will be beat to get back to winning ways against a hapless side that is bottom. -

What are people’s thoughts to the City vs Chelsea game? I haven’t done much research yet into goals , form etc., but Chelsea win + BTTS at 3/1 looks appealing. -

There doesn't seem to be much value in the premier league markets this weekend, but I'm eyeing up this four-fold. Newcastle to beat Bournemouth - Newcastle top the form table and are strong at home. West Ham v Cryst. Palace (Over 2.5 Goals) - West Ham total goals per home game is 3.6 while Palace's is 2.4 away. Man Utd vs Brighton (Over 2.5 Goals) - United's total goals per home game and Brighton goal per away game is 3. Nottm Forest to beat Southampton - Forest are second in the form table and Southampton are bottom. 5.68.1 at bet365 I'm keen to see everyone else's picks in case I can bump up the odds a bit more. -

Had a bit of time of my hands this morning so I've looked into the home and away form table and gone for this four-fold: Bournemouth - Everton have scored one goal in four games. Aston Villa - Villa have the 4th best home record while Leicester have the 3rd worst away record. Fulham/Ipswich (Over 2.5 Goals) - Fulham home games average 3.1 goals per game while Ipswich away games average 3 goals per game. Wolves/Forest (Over 2.5 Goals) - Wolves home games average 3.77 goals per game while Forest away games average 2.7 goals per game. 6.98 at bet365 -
