Re: mansion pokergod 23/12/06 Well done to anyone who has made the grand final and a huge thanks to everyone for taking part. I registered to play last night and then circumstances (alcohol) got the better of me and I forgot to take my seat so there were a few easy chips for someone. As a result I'm just doing a quick look around to check it all went off OK. Full details of the grand final (taking place on the 4 Feb in London) and the list of qualifiers will be on the website in the new year as the IE office is currently closed for the xmas break. So you'll just have to wait until then I'm afraid. One last thing is we have an awesome new freeroll series starting in the Feb issue (out 25 Jan) so don't miss that. Re: mansion pokergod If you can send that email to me I would appreciate it, as Pete doesn't have any direct involvement with the PokerGod competition so he'll be coming at it a from a standing start. I don't totally disagree with you mate, but efforts were made to ensure the email was sent to mag readers. I didn't play in this week's tournament (as I was on a train when it began) but I wouldn't totally discount the possibility that the email just jogged people's memories. That said, if we've made a cock up then I will hold my hands up as mistakes do happen. But I hope you'll agree you get your money's worth from the mag. Just ask GaF how good value the BAPT freeroll was!! :notworthy Cheers Alun

Re: mansion pokergod Hi all If anyone has specific problems/questions/gripes then feel free to email me at the address in the magazine's letters page rather than Guy. Obviously as it's Sunday night I'm not in the office, but I will double check on the situation tomorrow and get back to you. As far as I am aware the email should only have gone out to previous participants in the freerolls - and therefore magazine readers. I know, I know, but we can't assume they are lying to us! I think it's a little strong to be talking of boycotting the magazine. The pokergod competition would not exist without InsideEdge and neither would your chance to win $1000s for absolutely nothing. Also these five freerolls are still only a fraction of the total number and the number of entrants is still plenty low enough for it not to be a total crapshoot. It's an added extra for our readers and I hope you agree you still get a lot of useful and entertaining articles for your £2.50 in addition to the freerolls. And you should definitely expect to see more big competitions in upcoming issues. Feel free to email any comments to me as I don't have as much time as I'd like to check in on the forums. Re: Mansion Poker God Morning Yes worry not, that just meant two more freerolls in this month's issue. There are two more months to go. So loads of freerolls and chances to win points/cash yet. Re: October's Inside Edge Yeah I remember mate. Was on the same table as you on Sunday too. Not a lot we can do once players are registered - although non-UK players are not going to be at the grand final. And we are trying to make it harder for non mag players to enter. Any ideas welcome on that regard. Keep the big picture in mind too. Big night out and some top prizes at the grand final. $25 for 9th pales a bit in comparison.

Often some interesting points of view, and a few good ideas to nick ;) I met a couple of you lot on the Mansion England Paraguay game I think. Too much beer that day to remember too clearly. As I say, not being in charge of the subs myself it's best to talk directly to the people that are. If you have any specific issues though then email me and I'll try to help. As to sending the mags out together. This just isn't practical I'm afraid as they are printed at different times and have separate readerships. Thanks Alun

Just a short note to say wp and gg to all the PL'ers who played so well at the PokerGod grand final. Especially dantheman who went out so cruelly on the bubble. I'll let him tell the tale... But it wasn't to be, and the winner was wilywoods aka Nick Woods who took it down after an incredibly brief heads-up battle with rik_2502 aka Richard Smith. Full details and pics in the next issue.
