Weekends Super12 Matches Hurricanes 2.65 Blues 1.45 Margin 6.5 On the face of it the Blues have too much class right across the park. Although they have never lost to the Blues I personally put very little weight on historical stats and feel that this is a dangerous game to bet on as the Hurricanes although a good team to bet against when favourites also have a good record of winning when underdogs. Blues welcome back their captain Rush and openside Braid with Umanga back for the Hurricanes. If pushed I think the Blues will take it but this will be an interesting game to watch but not to bet on. Chiefs 2.25 Waratahs 1.60 Margin 3.5 Chiefs shortcomings exposed last week but they have made some interesting choices this week with captain Gibbes at lock, Manu back at prop and dynamic Laiuki on the flank. Looks like they intend to play the game at pace and with Rogers missing they could expose the Waratahs. If conditions are good I would go the Chiefs HTH. Crusaders 1.22 Highlanders 4.00 Margin 11.5 Can’t see past a Crusaders win here. But with 4/5 changes and the Highlanders bringing back Brown I couldn’t back the margin with any confidence and see no value in the 1.22 HTH. Another game I would steer clear of from a betting perspective but could be good “derby†game to watch. Stormers 2.25 Bulls 1.60 Margin 3.5 Very much like the look of the Stormers at home here. The Bulls are leaving the fortress of Pretoria and may be over confident in this clash at sea level. I imagine the Stormers will attempt to move the big Bulls forwards around. Conversely the Bulls will try and muscle up and rely on the boot to get them home. I can’t resist the HTH of 2.25 on the Stormers here. Very good value IMO. Brumbies 1.33 Reds 3.15 Margin 9.5 Similar to the Crusaders v Highlanders in that there will be no love lost here and I can’t see past a home win. The Brumbies have more talent and match winners across the park in my opinion. They should cover the margin but I aren’t tempted by the HTH or margin. Another game to just sit back and watch for betting opportunities next round. Bets for the Weekend: Stormers HTH @ 2.25 Chiefs HTH @ 2.25 Good luck to all.

AFL... Fremantle -24.5 @ 1.55 (2 units). Will be tough for Carlton with 9 new players!!..Hell, it's gunna be tough for everyone over there in Perth. Freo have won the last 2 meetings @ home by 28 points, so I'm not going to mess with the handicap which is now upto 34.5. 4 goals should be an easy enough margin. Sydney +22.5 Sydney won both meetings last year..inc. a 14 point win @ the Gabba....And although they did lose the Prelim Final to Bris by 44, it was very much closer than that the whole way. Now, Ball is in from the last meeting, and Brown is out for Bris. Every chance Sydney win this one outright...love getting 22.5. Should be close either way. Port Adelaide -18.5 Port won the last meeting by 39 @ home, and this is virtually the same team on paper....In fact Primus is IN and no-one of any note is out. Essendon are missing Barnard, Jacobs, Mark Johnson and Wellman from that side (and likely Solomon too). BIG ask for players like Bradley, Richards, Bullen and Winderlich to perform against a strong Port team. Add to that Ess dismal travel record and the -18.5 looks very gettable.
