  2. Re: Paradise 50 Up Club Thinking of having a go at these but can't find any details on what constitutes a raked hand, or where I see how many raked hands I have? Can someone educate me please? Cheers, FBF

  3. Re: **Poker Monday 6th August** Couldn't believe the call from Saffo1 that took you out. Especially after him playing a solid game before that. I guess he was hoping for live cards [and he was right].

  5. Re: Speed STT Video As I imagine your killing the MTTs it is probably negative EV for you to single table these crapshoots GaF. If you could get rakeback (adding about $1/tourny) and 4 table, then even with a 4.4% ROI you are probably looking at approaching $30/hour (assuming no diminishing returns on your ROI), which is not to be sniffed at. With these crapshoots I would imagine a lot of the time it is fit or fold anyway so you will prbably have greaer variance in ROI and wou need about 500(?) SNGs to have a reasonable confidence in your earn rate. Would 4 tabling, from an hourly earn perspective, at least reduce the amount of variance you would experience? Variance per STT doesn't change, but per hour it does (not sure if I'm talking shit here but the kids have had me up since 5 this morning). Also, are these fun GaF? They have never appealed to me and I would have thought you would have a bigger edge in deep stack slow structures where you have the chance to outplay, and make better decisions, post flop. If I started playing these I think it would be the beginning of the end of my love affair with poker. FBF

  6. Re: Speed STT Video Small sample but very nice results fella. Would be interested in your hourly earn on these . Given that you appear to be single tabling I reckon about $20/hour; which is excellent single-tabling. Is it worth multi-tabling as you shouldn't see a significant decline in your earn/STT and your hourly arn could get up to daft rates. Good luck running the BR up to the higher buy-ins. FBF

  7. Re: 2007 Targets After running good on the SNGs I went on a heater on the cash games and I'm now looking to step up to 4 tabling the $100NL. Blog post below :-

Last night took the Laddies cash game bankroll to up over $1,000 and now I'm ready to step up to 4 tabling the $100NL games. From the charts below you can see I went on a few extended periods of relatively flat profitability but the general trend is upwards and I had a mega heater over 1k hands at the $50 buy-ins. The games are still relatively soft although not as much action on overbets compared to what you see on the $20 buy-in games. Although the 8/2 players I see on there can still be profitable. Still a large volume of players (and the gamblers appear after a win on the sportsbook on a Saturday night). So I was beating the game for about 24BB/100 over a very small sample of hands (nearly 5k) and this translated into an hourly rate of ~ $22. Of the 16 players I have in my PT DB with 2.5k hands or more there are 6 beating this level, the next best return after mine is 21BB/100. So whilst these are really small volume of hands I am confident I am beating it enought to step up. I also don't think I ran particularly well at the $50 buy-in. Got stacked a few times and overplayed big pairs a number of times as well. However, I'm not prepared to analyse my game at the moment in any level of detail even though I know I can make many improvements. If it's not brokes then don't fix it and I've had problems in the past after trying to apply 'moves' that I've read about, or remove leaks from my game. I'll only start to analyse my game and look to make improvements once I can't beat a level. Next decision for me is whether to move straight into the $100NL or play the $30SNGs. Party are offering me a $100 bonus that I think would take 50 $30 SNGs to clear. That would force me into playing 50 SNGs over the next week. Tempted to go straight into the $100NL though. Decisions, decisions. PT stats for my NL challenge :- laddies50wn8.th.jpg Chart at $50NL :- laddieschart50lp8.th.jpg Chart for Laddies cash game challenge :- laddieschartallym1.th.jpg FBF
