  1. Re: Cheltenham - Weds - 12th 2.00 - Group Captain E/W @ 5/1 - Been following this horse, and LTO was very impressive. King has his horses on top form the festival, and Thornton already rode 2 winners yesterday. Should go close. (Fancy a couple more actually, but preference goes to this one) 2.35 - Pomme Tiepy E/W @ 5/1 - This is one of the best chances for Walsh to get on winning terms. It's one of the only horses that's been racing in Class 1 and winning! So has to have every chance for a place at least. 3.15 - Master Minded WIN @ 3/1 - Ok, Nicholls has 2 of the 4 candidates for a win. But given the ground, I dismiss Twist Magic. Nicholls himself said that good to soft would not suit it. Taraminbleu is from the Fest form stable, D Pipe, and could go close. But this is one of the best chances for Nicholls to have a win. 3.15 - Voy por Ustedes WIN @ 3/1 - I am actually dutching this now, but still haven't made my bets, so tomorrow will have time to decide. This horse dismisses presentations :) King + Thornton + Previous fest winner! 16.00 - County Zen E/W @ 10/1 - Would get close LTO wasn't for the mistake 4th , but stayed on and kept on closing. I think the price is a E/W appeal for me, and a great horse for Hobbs & R Johnson to score, or go close! Looks a progressive horse, and can improve a bit today! 16.40 - Here«'s Johnny @ 18/1 - This horse goes well in soft and worse ground. Keeps going close and I can't see why it can't go close today. This is an amateur racing, an open one, so stakes will be kept to a minimum, but at the price, it's worth a shot! 17.20 - Apt Approach E/W @ 9/2 - Irish trainers have a good record at this race, Mullins I think has a good record at this race, Walsh is mounting, won easily LTO and stayed on powerfully. 9/2 is a fair enough price to take an E/W punt. Not an easy race punting wise because of the prices, so Being conservative, give it an E/W shout!

  2. Re: Cheltenham Placepots regarding the 1515, Twist magic I dismiss based on ground, and an interview nichols gave RP, saying that: "Q. I have been backing Twist Magic all year - who is most likely to land the Queen Mother and should I be worried if Ruby chooses to ride Master Minded? A. Not at all. Sam Thomas won the Tingle Creek on Twist Magic and I think Sam suits the horse. Who's going to win, I don't know. We've just been really thrilled with Master Minded, but if the ground is good that will really suit Twist Magic. " Well the ground is Good to Soft, Soft in places... I'll wait until tomorrow to place my bets, so I can have going confirmation!

  3. Re: Cheltenham Placepots Wednesday: 1400 - Group Captain @ 5/1 (Actually, my E/W NAP) , Breedsbreeze @ 13/2, fiveforthree 8/1 1435 - Pomme Tiepy @ 11/2, Joe Lively @ 15/1 1515 - Master Minded @ 10/3 (NB), Voy Por Ustedes @ 3/1 (NB) (The winner will com from one of these 2, I'm confident on that) 1600 - County Zen @ 9/1 , Kicks for free @ 15/1 Can't find anything in the amateurs race, and very open in the last one!

  4. Re: Cheltenham Placepots

its a tote bet' date=' should have them in the tote section in your local shop or can be done online at most major bookies site, select the number(s) of the horse(s) you expect to be placed in the first 6 races at your nominated meeting, all the money goes into a pool and after the tote has taken its cut is divvied up between winning tickets - any questions?[/quote'] Not at all mate :) going to check my online bookie then! Thanks!

5.20 - CRACK AWAY JACK - 12/1 Totesport Has an ideal profile to win here, having won lto and having exactly 3 career starts. Eyecatching jockey booking and a horse that won very well lto. With expected improvement, I make this my EW Nap of the Day.

  11. Re: Plumpton Monday 10th March

Plumpton 16:00 It's Rumoured E/W First of all, I must say this is a pretty modest race IMO... really is. I suspect this could be called a donkey race, instead of horse race, but anyway, there's a winner to be found somewhere. Let's start with the FAV, Ede's, it won 2 last outings, it's down in grade and now finds itself 1st-6lbs higher than LTO. I think this will anchor it a bit, and 5/4 predicted SP is way too short for such penalty. I know that looking at form figures, it should be odds on, but anyway... fair play if it wins. Just beware is another horse that's way to high in weights IMO. The horse that really caught my eye was It's Rumoured for 3 reasons, 4 actually. first: Jockey booking K Tobin, excellent jockey IMO, run a thriller today on Mr Shambles. second: Was hampered LTO when running a decent race, and who knows... ;) third: it's a CD winner... so has got to have hability. fourth: odds 12/1 is more than a decent price for a E/W chance I really think this horse haves!
    2nd :D @ 6/1 SP (caught yesterday night @ 10.9, so cant complain)
  12. Re: Plumpton Monday 10th March

The Sporting Life tissues are the worst I've ever seen in my entire life. To be honest I'm not sure how they continue to get away with it, as it's laughable to say the least. If only there were punters who took notice of them and used the exchanges! anyhow, we can always hope and dream, but seriously the paper is a shambles for its prices. Good luck with your selection, although I doubt you'll get anywhere near your 12s, and more like 4s, maybe 5s, as race time approaches.
Yes mate, Just checked odds-comparison, and it's 4's the best price @ betfair, in that case, I'll play WIN only since E/W loses value at those odds!
