  1. Re: ATP TMS Rome & WTA Berlin/Prague 8th-14th May 4/6 and 1.67 are the same aren' t they? I'm on it too (12pts). It should be a great match. Highly unlikely to get any tv coverage though unfortunately, especially with 2 Brits reaching the 2nd round. I've gone 20pts on Monfils as well. Can't really add anything to Mr. I's analyses, which are excellent as usual. And he gets special props today for inventing a new word in "torrendous".

  2. Re: ATP TMS Rome 8th-14th May STARACE v Tursunov @ 4/9 What Mr. I said basically. Also Starace seems to have an excellent record in Italy. FERRERO v Mathieu @ 4/9 Ferrero is a bit unreliable these days but has been in decent form recently. With the exception of Almagro, he's been beating lower ranked opponents very convincingly in the last 3 tournaments. GAUDIO v Malisse @ 2/9 One of the best clay courters around. Showed some great form at Monte Carlo where he pushed Nadal all the way. BERDYCH v Srichaphan @ 1/4 The Thai is quite hopeless on clay. Berdych isn't. Prices taken from bluesq. 10 pt accumulator, pays 3.19. I've had 6pts on Serra as well. Can't add anything to Mr. I's excellent write-up.

  3. Re: ATP TMS Rome 8th-14th May It's hard to see past Nadal but for someone who gambles purely for enjoyment there's no real value in that price considering he probably wouldn't be a whole lot shorter than even money on the eve of a final against Federer. A first round match against his "mentor" Moya, who showed some decent form in Estoril this week, is probably the last draw he would've wanted as well. Glancing at the draw, I'd expect Nalbandian to come out of his quarter and he'd fancy his chances in a semi against Federer so maybe he'd be worth an e/w punt at 20s. I don't think he dropped a single set in Estoril so fatigue shouldn't be a factor (despite the weight jibes) and his confidence will obviously be high.

  4. Re: ATP Munich/Estoril 1st-7th May Yeah, Haas and Nieminen look the best prospects at Munich. Not a whole lot of value though. Especially Sicknote Haas who has a tricky first round match. Karlovic has found a bit of form on clay recently and the surface at Munich is quite fast I believe. I'll probably just lay Coria who looks a short price considering his serving gremlins. Robredo looks a decent value bet at Estoril considering he's roughly twice the price of Almagro. The other main players in that half of the draw are woefully out of form.

  5. Re: Snooker: World Championships

Double or nothing Kevshat, that I can make that mis-cue 3 out of 4... Dammit I'm shit atr snooker, good at pool though... And lets not forget the pressure from the audience! Did you hear it at the beginning of the session, they where roaring and bellowing for Ronnie, that must have given Day some sort of a twitch...
AND the pressure arising from the fact that a win would've put him into the top 16 for next season. With so much riding on it, it's no surprise he looked so nervous and makes suggestions that he lost on purpose even more ridiculous than they normally would be.
  6. Re: ATP TMS Monte Carlo 17th - 23th April ok, surely someone must have some thoughts on the quarter finals? I haven't seen enough of the tournament to give any sort of informed analysis (I'm not a morning person) but I like the look of 2-1 to Nadal against Coria given the closeness of their previous encounters. I'm also tempted by Ljubicic at evens given his form.

ReasoningFollowing his recent Davis Cup singles rubber withdrawal and meek first round defeat to Jan Hernych in Valencia there have to be serious doubts over Davydenko's current physical state. That's it really. Soderling is a good price to take advantage.
