  1. Re: Aston Villa v Manchester City > Saturday October 4th

ASTON VILLA – MANCHESTER CITY Final Score 0-1 at 7.30 @ Marathonbet An interesting game is going to be played at “Villa Park”. Aston Villa wants to show a better face at the third continuing game against one of the “big” teams of Premier League, having lost with 3-0 the games against Arsenal (home) and Chelsea (away). These two results ended an unbeaten run of four games (3-1-0) for the team of Birmingham. Manchester City, on the other hand, will look for a win, which will fulfill many scopes and will play a huge role at the uplifting of its morale. The Citizens are in danger of staying out of the “16” phase of Champions League and as a result they will try to balance this possible negative fact with their good performances at Premier League. The last two away wins against Aston Villa have come with 0-1 as final score and I think that City will repeat today a win with this score.
Unlucky! I just thought I would mention that your tip did help me predict a low scoring City win, so it was still of use. Seems like City just have another gear when they need to, which is good to remember for live betting.
  2. Re: MLS 2014 (USA/Canada)

New York Red Bulls vs Houston W1 and Los Angeles Galaxy vs Toronto W1 look a good combo. Based on both teams great home form,it looks a clear win for both NY & LA. Still, any info about about missings for both sides would be appreciated.
Toronto has Defoe back and this is a huge game for them to make the playoffs, something to consider, they are also coming off a big comeback win. LA is better though
  3. Re: Manchester City v Chelsea > Sunday September 21st

Don't know if there's any traders here but I'll back unders here and then lay it in play when it drops low enough to take a decent profit. The fact that unders are odds against, gives us a lot of potential drop in the price. I'm not saying it will be under but if any thing besides an early goal fest happens we should see unders become the big favorite pretty soon. Can't believe that these two teams with great tacticians at the helm will risk too much early on in the match. So might wait until 30 mins and if it's still 0-0 close my position and take a profit. Augero and Diego Costa are enough to scare the defences into being conservative and defending first, before thinking about going forward. This will suit Mourinho I believe. He'll want to slow things down early. Then in the latter stages of the match I think he'll be taking more and more chances and we'll see more open attacking intent from Chelsea. Why? because Jose didn't believe his team was as good as City last season. This season he secretly thinks he has a superior squad to City. But he'll never admit it ;) 1395350_632190413506544_1046795797_n.png
    brilliant!
  4. Re: MLS 2014 (USA/Canada) TFC get a garbage offside goal while fouling the GK of vancouver 4 minutes in, and then park the bus for almost the entire match, Nelsen's strategies at their finest. Good thing you can always count on Henry to give up a ridiculous penalty,(slide tackles the guy from behind while the ball is in the air) He was also lucky not to get a second yellow card on a few occasions. Anyways, Vancouver won 2-1 and then lost on penalties, but the bet won, so it's all good. Never saw that coming with philly and kc. Maurice Edu was out for philladelphia, my guess is SKC were maybe a little too cocky and distracted going in the game, and philladelphia surprised them. Ghostcall handball pk to advance montreal to the next round in the 6th minute of injury time, glad you won meat man but honestly, that was the worst call at the worst time I have ever seen, feel kind of bad for Edmonton, that was the biggest game in franchise history. Crazy stuff anyway, now a weird time is coming up in the MLS as players will be away for the WC.

  5. Re: MLS 2014 (USA/Canada) Yes Montreal should win. I don't trust their defense at all though. The 17 year old Boaki on Edmonton is really good too and this is a big stage for him as well, he was easily the best player last game, and I would say Montreal was outplayed by Edmonton, I don't really know much about Edmonton though. You're probably right. Another thing though is Edmonton usually plays in front of like 3000 people or something so for them this is a huge game as well, and it's on national television, it's probably one of their biggest games of the season, and they seem to have somewhat decent talent for NASL and a good coach. I feel like this is one of those weird cup games where Edmonton could pull out a result or something, but I think Montreal is going to really step up to avoid embarrassment. Overall personally I am just not super confident about Montreal at the moment, this game just has a sense of unpredictability about it for me, but it's I think it's as safe as most bets to take the -1 asian, if Montreal don't win it would be a disaster for them, so I think they win but Edmonton doesn't make it easy. The fact that you like this bet makes me think it's better than I had first though. What I just wrote is what I thought prior to seeing your post, just so that it would be unbiased. So basically I don't know, I think if Bernadello is playing for the Impact though it would make a huge difference, I'm not sure if he is though. I'm pretty sure Di Vaio won't be playing though he has a hamstring injury.

  6. Re: MLS 2014 (USA/Canada) Back Vancouver in the Canadian championships. No real reasoning for this one other than TFC is playing awful at the moment and Vancouver is playing superb, I have a feeling this is the way things are going to be looking for both clubs for some time now, Carl Robinson has been very impressive, Ryan Nelsen, not so much. Odds of 1.8 for a Vancouver are giving too much credit for TFC. Don't look too much at the whole 3 games in a week thing as Vancouver has a ton of depth. Also if anyone can find a bookie that has odds to win the tournament please let me know. You might want to wait for the lineups to come out though. I think Robinson will go with a few young Canadian players again but not to the extent of the game in Toronto.

  7. Re: MLS 2014 (USA/Canada) ^ I wonder what the price is for Henry to give up a penalty lol. I'll add that caps youngsters are quite good, but overall not a good away team. Expect lots of pace in the Vancouver lineup.

  8. Re: FC Bayern München v Real Madrid > Tuesday April 29th

first half= RM +.25 @evens If Guardiola doesn't adjust his strategy My thoughts: Bayern will come out again with pep guardiolas overemphasis on possession and they will keep passing backwards/without enough creative/goal scoring intent, as they will be too worried about at RM counter. So the game will stay close, maybe RM picks a goal on the counter, maybe bayern get's one on a corner or a cross or something. Later in the game Robben and crew will take it into his own hands and maybe part from guardiolas strategies somewhat to get something going, maybe it will work. Obviously that is just how I see things perhaps panning out, I don't know though, but I like RM on the first half line. I also like just RM bets in general at that price.
:rollin didn't really see the the set piece goals coming but I'm sure everyone who backed Madrid for high stakes is laughing right now. the bookies are probably crying lol, with those odds they had. Is it Guardiola who taught bayern that zonal set piece coverage? It's not looking good for him, but it's partly the players fault of course as well.

  10. Re: Manchester United v Norwich City > Saturday April 26th

Could this be a match where the players now show their dislike of Moyes by blowing Norwich away. And then we all say afterwards "where was that all season?". If for no other reason than to initiate Giggs into management (a guy they all respect) with a win? Well-that-went.jpghave-you-heard-qzlgci.jpg
I agree. How many times do see clubs get a new manager and play well. Especially since it's Giggs I think they play a good match here compared to with moyes and get the 3 points. They also probably want to show that they (the players) weren't to blame for the struggles of man u. With that being said, there is basically no value on the Man United win or handicap in my opinion.
  11. Re: Real Madrid v FC Bayern München > Wednesday April 23rd

Exactly my thoughts.Just to add that we saw that Bayern was a bit shaky against United in both legs' date='especially in UK and if that happens tonight they will get smashed. With Ronaldo and Bale both having killimg instincts,Bayern won't have too much to hold them back.My main bet is Real Madrid to win @ 2.4 with high stakes.Real Madrid\Real Madrid HT\FT @4,BTTS-Yes and Real Madrid to win @4-with medium to low and a small punt on correct Score 2:1 @ 9.50 all with bet365.GL!!
Stoked to see guys like you + others thinking along the same lines as myself. Clearly I took the DNB too early at pinnacle at 1.175 as now it is 185 basically I think this is the right bet or RM to win no DNB, Guardiola has only messed up bayerns systems IMO. I'ts the playoffs in Canada so I'm slightly too under the influence to comment but basically Bayern are playing a system that does not favour them, people say RM;s systems is not good for this series because it's not defensive enough to beat bayern but I dis think it is unless the Bayern olayers deside to disregard guardiola IMO
  12. Re: Real Madrid v FC Bayern München > Wednesday April 23rd Firstly, I'm not a Madrid fan at all, but with the way Bayern has been playing I think Madrid should win this. I took the Real Madrid (+O) at 1.75 at Pinnacle, as a relatively safe bet in my opinion. Bayern played Robben and Ribery on saturday and struggled to get by last place in the bundesliga Braunshweig, and it's not as if their performancce against Man U was very good either for Bayern's standards. I'm sure others will have more to add to this, and I'm interested to hear it, but Real Madrid has been good lately and Bayern simply hasn't, what I have seen is enough to convince me to back Real Madrid here.

  13. Re: Brazil Serie A Thread Nice easy win for Sao Paulo. Flamengo's odds have gone up to 2.28 for a win at pinnacle since 1.917 earlier today.Your tips are spot on, but I am not very familiar with the Brazilian clubs, I take it Carlos Alberto is confirmed now and that's what cause the shift in odds?

Flamengo - Goias 23:30CET After being eliminated in the first round of Copa Libertadores Flamengo startsBrasileirão against Goias at Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro. Jayme Almeida and Flamengo team knows that victory is more than necessary, for the club and for the fans. Jayme was very focused on defensive sector in trainings, because they are conceding many goals lately. The big question at Goiás is midfielder Carlos Alberto who is good known in Rio de Janeiro - he played for the years for Vasco, and he is not confirmed in the game against Flamengo. Flamengo (-0.5) AH @1.95 12bet 4/10
  14. Re: MLS 2014 (USA/Canada)

Real Salt Lake -0.5 and SKC -1 catch my eye today. For me, RSL are one of the top 3 teams in this league. They have quality in all areas of the field and are usually very strong at home. Their altitude advantage can't be ignored here and teams will often struggle in the 2nd half, out of gas. The main reason I like backing them today though is because I think Portland are massively overrated. Their reputation was decent entering the season but they haven't shown anything to me that suggests they are a good team. Last week they could only draw at home to Chivas for christ sakes! You could even argue they were slightly outplayed in that fixture! I can't see beyond an RSL win in this game. Take your pick of the -0.5 or -0.25 lines, there's great value either way. As for SKC, well I just think they will have way too much for Montreal. It's widely acknowledged that they are the 2nd best team in the MLS behind LA Galaxy, some would even say that they are just as good tbh. Coming off a bye week, they'll be fully prepared and really should easily beat Montreal. I actually like the visitors from a watching point of view. They are nice and entertaining but their tactical set ups are atrocious. They constantly leave holes as the back and their gung ho attacking mentality will get badly exposed tonight. Montreal also miss way too many chances and have no clinicality in front of goal. They might score here but SK are capable of netting 3 or 4 against this terrible defence. The -1 line @ juicy odds or -0.75 look decent bets here.
Agreed I was going to give a tip for SKC as well but instead of handicap it was 1x2 at 1.69 at pinnacle, it's down a bit now I think but probably still worth it. The reason I didn't take the handicap is because SKC tends to squeeze out games by one goal pretty often. I think MTL's finishing will be different now though, Marco DiVaio was suspended for the first three games, and Jack McInerney is a way better finisher than andrew wenger, but that's not to say they will get by the SKC defense which is the best in the league. But they are still completely out of sync defensively and through the midfield, a good team like SKC will probably exploit that. It's surprising that Portland are still struggling that much, I like RSL alot, definetly worth a bet.
  15. Re: Swansea City v Chelsea > Sunday April 13th

There's a lot of upside for Chelsea here when you break it down: Swansea will pass it around a lot without being dangerous and Chelsea will be right in their comfort zone of letting the other team make the game and then punishing them on fast transitions.
Exactly, Chelsea will probably hit Swansea pretty hard on the counter. They also have quite a bit of depth I find so they shouldn't be too tired from the CL. I'm thinking there should be nice price for a Chelsey win a little ways in on the live market.
  16. Re: MLS 2014 (USA/Canada)

I like Montreal Chicago to go over. Both teams have struggled defensively and both definitely have players that can score. Last weeks mtl/nyrb game was so open it was unbelievable' date=' suprised there wasn't more goals in it. Only thing to worry is that they would put more emphasis defensively to make up for the other games. Their is some bets I like more in europe for saturday though, but I want to keep this thread going, and this is a good bet in my opinion, the line is a low though, I took O/2.75 for 2 at pinnacle.[/quote'] 1-1 = loss. Mcinerney got his first goal in his first game for the impact. Both teams had prime chances and didn't finish, might have something to do with that awful turf in the old baseball stadium they play in temporarily, the ball looks like a ping pong ball bouncing on that turf. It should be interesting to see how Columbus respond to last weeks loss, tough to call but they do look value, I think San Jose is a bit better than their record this year shows though.
  17. Re: FA Cup Semi-Finals > April 12th & 13th I ended up taking wigan +1 live which paid out, but I also took DNB and 1x2. Dissapointed he took Macmanaman off, that guy had an amazing game in FA cup final last year as well and was having a great game again, having done much more than just draw the penalty. Arsenal seem to be dominating now.

  19. Re: FC Bayern München v Manchester United > Wednesday April 9th

Yeah I think last year Bayern were a perfectly engineered piece of German machinery. Strong, ruthless, efficiently and their play was full of meaning. Robben and Ribery had a free license to express themselves as you would expect, but overall they would kill you in 3 passes. I agree with you two in that they probably won't win it this year based on the 2 Man U matches. Atletico,Chelsea and Real are all dangerous on the counter attack and their direct styles can really hurt Bayern. The irony is that Bayern under Heynkes were the MOST direct and the BEST on the counter. Conclusion is that Guardiola is trying to squeeze square pegs into round holes. BkzkkpgCUAAn2gD.jpg:large
This is what I have been thinking from watching bayern this year, especially in the champions league. A manager should coach a strategy that suits his team, instead of the other way around. If you ask me, Pep gets too much credit for taking his strategy and getting bayern to use it. Not that Bayern doesn't have to keep improving though to stay on top though, and he has done some good things, but he also has kept trying to play without Mandzukic all season over an over and he has pretty obviously been wrong about that. You do always have to keep improving though when you're the champs. Anyways I'm done I was just glad to see someone else thought this as well.
  20. Re: MLS 2014 (USA/Canada)

Well as a TFC fan I'm delighted but as a punter I'm shocked. Hopefully after a few more weeks MLS will be more predictable.
Yeah, really, well there was a combination of factors that allowed this to happen. Bradley had an great game, they played well as a unit and the players they picked up more quietly in the off season proved very good, Nelsens tactics were good too. Well the RSL KC game went pretty much as expected, a 0-0 draw, definitely going to be playing it safe in the mls for a bit though, but I have noticed the totals to be much more predictable than 1x2, at least for certain games. That vancouver game was a unlucky loss though, they were up 1-0 then laba got a red card for grabbing the ball after a foul the ref didn't call, stupid...
  21. Re: MLS 2014 (USA/Canada) I agree with all you on betting on columbus, big time, I put a bet on them moneyline at pinnacle earlier in the week. Now -1 on the handicap section is 3.5 on bet 365 so i'm going high stakes there. I also think RSL +1 at 1.9 bet365 is good, it should be a low scoring game, both teams are good it seems unlikely Sporting KC wins by more than a goal, I'm thinking maybe a draw here, or a 1 goal win for either team. Also Vancouver might be worth a shot, they have won both their home games so far this season, with two draws on the road, they are much better at home, both last season and this one so far. Anyway Columbus is my main bet like the rest of you, the rest are just some ideas to consider.
