Re: It's written in the stars..... Not me, but I know somebody who backs all horses with the word Desert in the name.

Re: Mondays Bankers Non- Compliant would also be my banker, but first come, first served I suppose!:loon

Re: Kempton 23/10 Very poor fare on offer IMO. I hate banded racing. I'll be having a punt on Jadeeron in the 4.30 at 5/1 ish.

Re: Ambitious Outsiders
Unlucky there, mate. A placing for transvestite would have made some impact for you.RESULT Lingfield 02:55 HIGH STYLE.....nowhwere Chepstow 03:00 DESERT TOMMY.....1st..12/1 Lingfield 03:30 TRANSVESTITE.....4th Todays Profit = + 3.00 pts. ====================== Total Profit/Loss = - 138.12 pts ====================== -
Re: Lingfield 21/10
Texas Gold's All-Weather record stands at: 14 runs, 6 wins, 6 x 2nd, 1 x 3rd. Must be thereabouts!Lingfield 220 - Texas Gold 5pts ew @ 13/2 Ladbrokes The form figures on this one arent too inspiring but the form over Lingfiled is exemplary - he has never been outside the first 2 in 9 runs. The official rating has slipped to an attractive level and wasnt beaten far at Kempton last time out. Lets see if a return to his favouritwe track gets him back on the podium ;) -
Re: Saturday bankers thread Party Boss: 5.30 Lingfield A great season last year on the A/W and a good second last time out to a decent Godolphin horse ridden well by Dettori. I fully expect this one to win: currently 3/1.

Re: Fakenham 20/10 Perhaps some more self-deprecation is the key to picking winners!:loon It did win by a country mile, though!

Re: Fakenham 20/10
You're not on your own, mate. I couldn't pick my own nose at present.:wallsorry guys i have had a shite week :sad not sure i can post up any more of this shite TBH when i looked at these they fitted all the crtiteria & not one in the frame even. 2 were fav's & the other 2nd fav. -
Re: Friday's Bankers
No, you got it!:okWe wouldn't expect even the top 10 to post every day, the point is (from my point of view on ratings) that everyone who has posted at least one banker will have a rating, which stays with them. Then when the bankers are in, we look at them and who picked them, and use the ratings of those who have selected to determin the top 5 of that day.... Or have I missed your point entirely, traf? -
Re: Friday's Bankers You'll need more than the top 4 or 5 to post the bankers to get the reqiured selections, in case any of the top guys haven't got a banker.

Re: Sw14
Talktalk were carrying out "essential upgrade work" yesterday, leaving me with no internet access. Fortunately I missed those 3 and need to make £13.70 tomorrow.Cheers - 3 goes today so let's hope for at least 1 winner. Thursday 19th October 3.30 BRIGHTON Forest Dane 4.10 HAYDOCK Mandingo Chief 5.00 BRIGHTON Maria Antonia -
Re: Quick System
It finished 5th coming from a long way back. Runs again today and i fancy it to go close. Poor odds, though 2/1 fav.RESULT Pontefract 02:50 CANTABILLY.....nowhere Todays Profit = - 10.00 pts. --------------------- Bank = + 1484.15 pts. Profit = + 1384.15 pts. --------------------- -
Re: Top weights in NH. H'caps on tight tracks It sounds OK to me, but I've opposed Native Commander in the 4.55. I have doubts about the extra 3 to 4 furlongs for him and the fact he hasn't run for 5 months or so, he might not stay the distance.
-
Re: Fakenham 20/10 EDGEHILL: 4.20 Very impressive last time when winning over this distance, admittedly top weight, but I feel he has enough to overturn McCoy on the odds on favourite. HERECOMESSTANLEY: 4.55 Not the best jumper, but if he gets round, I reckon he will win. Both are around 5/2, nice 11/1-ish double hopefully.

Re: Friday's Bankers For what it's worth: here's my opinion. I'll hold my hands up and admit that I have occasionally put a selection forward that was just strong fancy and not a mortgage lumper. A banker bet should be one that you'd feel comfortable putting your mortgage / rent payment on, regardless of odds. Iftitka and Natal were bankers and 1/3 is a 33.33% return on your money within minutes, it'd take years in a savings account to grow your investment. In short, a NAP is your best bet of the day. A BANKER is one that you could not envisage losing. As for ratings: that's fine with me, I'm happy to start at the bottom, there's only one way to go!:)

Re: Could This Be The One?
Ouch! That's got to hurt!6 selections for tonight, all taken at Betfair: Barnsley v Plymouth 2.58 Hull v Luton 2.75 Ipswich v Preston 2.60 Leeds v Leicester 2.26 Palace v West Brom 2.56 QPR v Derby 2.43 I must say, I like the look of all these....... so it will probably be a disaster! :unsure -
Re: Bath 17/10 It was a bit of a farce watching the 4.00 at Bath on ATR. The commentators were just assuming whereabouts the horses were on the track and who would be leading. This race was probably the final straw for the stewards as it was over 2 miles long and you couldn't see more than the last furlong max from the stands.

Re: Sw14
I'm still with you on this!:okWednesday 18th October No Selections Tomorrow's Target: 10.90 -
Re: Exeter 17/10
Unlucky there, mate. It was the other runner coming 2nd!:wallTotally agree with you socky regarding Natal although I cant see past it so Im having a nibble on the FC. purely for value im going for: Natal-Black hills Natal-Charlton kings Natal-Wembury Spirit Natal-Down the stretch £1.00 each for fun. -
Re: Some Bookies Do Ave Em Dettori was ill yesterday apparently, according to ATR.

Re: Rattys Picks MkII
Looks like an E/W Lucky 15 in the making. Thanks traf :ok . Exactly - hopefully that day will be today!! Although its still in trial, I think I may put a few quid on todays selections, which there are 4; 17/10/06 16.00 - Synonymy (11/2) 17.00 - Master Mahogany (11/2) 17.30 - Middle Eastern (12/1) 16.20 - H Harrison (10/1) :hope -
Re: Rattys Picks MkII It's looking good, Rat. At those kind of prices 1 winner a day will generate a small profit, which means you're getting 4 or 5 free bets a day. Should you get more than one winner a day, you'll be quids in.

Re: Bath 17/10 Scotch Pancake: 3.30 A couple of good runs to finish 2nd, looks the type ready to win a race. Bred out of Selkirk, should win today IMO. Poor price though, I reckon: 2/1 at best, but probably 7/4.
