  1. Re: Indian Premier League 2015 Friday early preview: 4pts Delhi Daredevils to beat Kings XI Punjab 6/5 Stan James Delhi have already beaten the Kings XI once this season and they have to be good value to do it again. They had a right rotten show with the bat in their last match but I’m confident enough there is plenty of experience in their ranks to avoid a repeat. More importantly they have enough batsmen in good form to avoid a repeat unlike the Kings XI whose batting woes seem to be getting worse. That’s not good for a side who rely on their batting so it is Delhi for me here. 2. Re: Indian Premier League 2015 Thursday preview: 4pts Kolkata Knight Riders to beat Chennai Super Kings 11/8 Skybet Given that Kolkata should have beaten Chennai on Tuesday they have to be value to beat them here in their own conditions. Ashwin will be a big loss for Chennai as he allows their top order to play with freedom knowing they have someone like him coming in at eight and that is without thinking about his four overs with the ball. Kolkata have Narine and maybe Morkel to come back in so I’ll side with them here. 3. Re: First Utility Super League 2015 Thursday TV preview: 4pts Huddersfield (+6) to beat Leeds 10/11 William Hill Leeds have looked awesome at times in recent weeks but they were exposed by Warrington last week and this Huddersfield side opened them up a few times at Headingley earlier in the season. Huddersfield are starting to really build a solid run of form up and they have a good record against Leeds on this ground in recent seasons and I think they are showing the sort of confidence that can see them challenge the Rhinos if not actually beat them. 6. Re: Indian Premier League 2015 Wednesday preview: 4pts Bangalore vs Rajasthan - Over 47.5 boundaries 5/6 William Hill Bangalore already have one win over Rajasthan and you would think they will get another here unless someone in this Rajasthan batting line up does something special but on this ground that can’t be ruled out. The best bet in the match for me is the boundaries. We know the boundaries here are tiny and there is some crazy hitters of a cricket ball on show so I’m fully expecting another high scoring Bangalore classic. 7. Re: Indian Premier League 2015 Tuesday preview: 4pts D.Smith's Performance Pts - 27&Over 5/6 Bet365 One man having a good IPL season so far is Dwayne Smith. In six matches so far his lowest score with the bat is 26 which is very consistent form for this format of the game. That leads me to think his 27pt performance line is well within reach. Even if he does have a rare failure with the bat he is an absolute gun fielder who can take catches at any time so this line looks too low to me. 8. Re: World Championship - 18 Apr - 4 May Quarter final previews: 4pts A.McGill (+4.5 frames) to beat S.Murphy 5/6 Coral These two have played some excellent snooker so far. They met at the China Open earlier in the month and that went to a decider and the way the two have played in this tournament I fancy this one to be quite close too. McGill has shown he isn’t scared of the occasion or the big name opponents and he has played some really astute snooker. Murphy does give opponents chances and while I think the former champion will win I expect McGill to stay right with him for a large period. Full preview here: https://www.punterslounge.com/mcgill-vs-murphy-betting-scottish-newcomer-can-push-the-magician-all-the-way 4pts D.Junhui vs J.Trump - Over 3.5 centuries 6/5 Bet365 I’m really looking forward to this match. This has the potential to go all the way and if it does we are sure to be in for some fantastic snooker. Both men score like a dream so big breaks are almost guaranteed in this one and I quite like the idea of there being more than 3.5 centuries. Given how well both score when their chances come along they will have to make full use of them or risk losing the frame. That should ensure breaks are big when they arrive. Full preview here: https://www.punterslounge.com/ding-vs-trump-betting-pick-of-the-quarter-finals-should-be-littered-with-big-breaks 4pts B.Hawkins vs N.Robertson - Over 15.5 50+ breaks Evs Paddy Power This is a match I fancy to be quite close and one which will be full of big breaks because they are both scoring so well in the tournament. Hawkins had three tons against Allen in the last round and Robertson had four against Carter so we’re sure to see a number of big breaks and frames won in one visit. That leads me to think the over 15.5 50+ breaks is a good thing here. Full preview here: https://www.punterslounge.com/robertson-vs-hawkins-betting-big-breaks-can-come-naturally-in-quarter-final 4pts R.O'Sullivan (-4.5 frames) to beat S.Bingham 4/5 Paddy Power I don’t think there will be too many one sided matches in this round but one match which could be is this one because I get the feeling O’Sullivan is bubbling under the surface of his best snooker and is waiting for the right time to bring it out. That time could well be here. This is a stellar line up in the quarter final and if there is a time to send a marker down it is now. I think he wins this with plenty in hand. 9. Re: Indian Premier League 2015 Top work Wongy :ok Monday preview: 4pts Sunrisers Hyderabad to beat Kings XI Punjab 5/4 Boylesports The value has to be with the Sunrisers in this match. Defeats like the Kings XI took in the previous game take a bit of getting over and there are clearly concerns over their batting line up because it keeps changing every game. Sunrisers were poor with the bat against Mumbai but they’ve enough options to cover that and move on again and so at odds against I’ll take them to bounce back with a win. 10. Re: County Championship 2015 Annoying that Nottinghamshire couldn't force the win. 2 for me this week. Might need to dodge some rain though :(. 4pts Somerset to beat Middlesex 4/5 William Hill Both these sides struggled in their opening match of the season. Somerset were taken apart by Durham inside three days while Middlesex somehow scrambled a draw against Nottinghamshire despite being outplayed for most of the match. I think Somerset will come away with more positives from the opening matches though. They were competitive and one bad session early in the second innings proved the difference but against that Durham attack that may not be a total disaster. I don't think Middlesex are as good as Durham overall and certainly not with the ball. We've seen Nottinghamshire struggle for wickets this season so Middlesex may have had nice opening opposition. Somerset welcome Alfonso Thomas back for this match and he could be another key cog in an improving bowling attack and with the likes of Trescothick, Myburgh, Hildreth, Cooper and Allenby batting for us I fancy Somerset to get over the line here. 4pts Derbyshire to beat Gloucestershire 10/11 Bet365 Derbyshire were well beaten by Lancashire last week but I fancy them to bounce back this week. Derbyshire were pretty competitive for 2.5 days but the end of Lancashire's second innings and their own second innings were disasters. They were taken apart by Kyle Jarvis but Lancashire have an international quality bowling attack which Gloucestershire don't have so Derbyshire's batsmen should find life more comfortable here. The interesting thing from a Derbyshire perspective last week was that while Mark Footitt bowled some excellent spells he didn't take many wickets so there is plenty more to come from him and that in turn will impact massively on his side. With the likes of Godleman, Guptill, Slater, Madsen and Thakor around there is no issue with their batting line up either. In fairness Gloucestershire have a really strong batting line up but this Derbyshire attack will keep them honest. I don't see Gloucestershire taking 20 wickets easily though and if Footitt and Palladino can fire, especially with the new nut then Derbyshire can pick up their first win of the season here.

  12. Re: Indian Premier League 2015 Sunday previews: 4pts Kolkata Knight Riders to beat Rajasthan Royals 4/5 Betway Rajasthan have been underrated in this IPL so far but they’re not being underrated here. Even at odds against I’m not taking them though. Kolkata have a side which suits the lower and slower conditions at Eden Gardens perfectly and I expect them to come through here. Even if Sunil Narine isn’t good to go his impact on this IPL has been minimal so that isn’t a big loss so KKR are the ones for me here. Full preview here: https://www.punterslounge.com/kolkata-knight-riders-vs-rajasthan-royals-betting-defending-champions-can-get-back-to-winning-ways 4pts Delhi vs Bangalore - Over 15.5 sixes 5/6 Coral I think this will be a high scoring match. We’ve seen on this ground already in this tournament how accessible the boundaries are and by and large I think both sides better with the bat than they are with the ball. There are some massive hitters of a cricket ball on show in this match so the 15.5 sixes line looks within reach. It has been covered in two of the first three games on this ground this season and can be again. 13. Re: World Championship - 18 Apr - 4 May Top work on Bingham mate :clap. Sunday previews: 4pts S.Murphy (-3.5 frames) to beat J.Perry 11/10 Paddy Power When I looked in advance at the draw I thought this could be a tight second round match but after the first round I’m not so convinced. Perry eased past Zhang Anda but he only made three breaks over 50 despite having a 7-0 lead at one stage. He is going to have to do an awful lot better than that to compete here because Murphy scored like a dream. He had two tons, another which was denied by an in off screwing from black to yellow and runs of 59, 62 and 64. He looks in really good form and I fancy Murphy to win this a frame or two easier than I originally expected. Full preview here: https://www.punterslounge.com/perry-vs-murphy-betting-masters-champion-can-fly-past-perry 4pts J.Trump (-3.5 frames) to beat M.Fu 10/11 William Hill I’m a little concerned for Marco Fu in this match I have to admit. He finished his first round match last Sunday morning and starts this one a whole week later so it will feel like a different tournament to him unlike Trump who finished on Thursday afternoon and will feel part of the event. The other reason I worry for Fu is he never really looked on top form with his scoring and that is so often the gauge for where his game is. He simply can’t win this match, or even stay close, if he doesn’t score and so for that reason I expect Trump to win here and win with plenty in hand. 14. Re: Boxing - Apr 25-26 4pts W.Klitschko vs B.Jennings - Over 6.5 rounds 4/5 Betfred This might be one of the more interesting Klitschko fights in recent times. I say that because he has an opponent who hasn’t been shy in the build up and with his reach advantage could beat the Ukrainian to the punch. Ultimately I don’t think Jennings will be good enough but he might stay out of trouble and keep this competitive longer than some have against Klitschko so I see value in the fight going beyond 6.5 rounds. 16. Re: First Utility Super League 2015 Saturday TV preview: 4pts Hull KR (+10) to beat Catalans Evs Bet365 There will be points scored in this match because neither have been the best defensively this season but I fancy Hull KR to stay within single figures of their opponents here. Already Salford have scored 40pts in France this season and Leeds put up 38 there. Hull KR stuck 50 on the Catalans are Craven Park so there is enough to suggest the visitors will score enough points to cover the handicap if not more. 17. Re: Arsenal v Chelsea > Sunday April 26th 3pts Arsenal to beat Chelsea 29/20 Ladbrokes Arsene Wenger’s record against Jose Mourinho is well known but that sort of thing has to end at some time and it could be that this is the time. This Arsenal side are playing some really good stuff at the minute and they may well be able to commit to their attacking play more because Chelsea are struggling for fit dangermen at the other end. If they can keep Eden Hazard quiet, and I’m sure the likes of Francis Coquelin will double up on him wherever possible, then Arsenal could finally land Wenger a win over his big rival. 18. Re: Everton v Manchester United > Sunday April 26th 3pts Draw 5/2 Ladbrokes In fairness to United they played pretty well against Chelsea last week but ultimately it did them no good as they were beaten. Everton are going particularly well at Goodison Park at the minute and will love nothing more than to put one over United once again. Earlier in the season these two played out a tight match and I fancy this one could be similar. The draw could be where the value lies here. 19. Re: Indian Premier League 2015 Saturday previews: 4pts Sunrisers Hyderabad to beat Mumbai Indians 23/20 Betway While I respect Mumbai’s excellent record in this stadium I’ve got to take them on at the odds here. Sunrisers have the better bowling attack and more importantly the bowling attack to expose this Mumbai middle order which seems to change more times than the weather and if they can deny Kieron Pollard going crazy with the bat then I really think they have most of the job done. If this does turn into a shootout then Sunrisers have the batting to cover that so they’re the call here. Full preview here: https://www.punterslounge.com/mumbai-indians-vs-sunrisers-hyderabad-betting-visitors-look-value-in-mumbai 4pts Kings XI Punjab to beat Chennai Super Kings 11/8 Spreadex Kings XI picked up a good win in their last match against the table topping Rajasthan Royals and I think they are decent value to pick up another here. These two famously met three times last season and all three were high scoring but the Kings XI won all three. Their bowling has improved this season so if their batting can take the form of the last match into this one then they can definitely pull off an upset here. 20. Re: World Championship - 18 Apr - 4 May Saturday previews: 4pts N.Robertson (-3.5 frames) to beat A.Carter 10/11 William Hill If Carter can sustain his form over three days the lack of pressure on him could see him really competitive in this match but he really is going to have to be at his best to come through here because Robertson seems to enjoy playing him and has beaten him 4-0 and 6-1 in big tournaments since Carter returned from his cancer treatment. Robertson is ruthless and if he gets in front here I fancy him to pile enough pressure on Carter to pull away from him. O’Sullivan doesn’t look in absolute fantastic form that we associate him with but he certainly looks up for this tournament. Stevens always goes well here and played lovely in the first round and he looks in the mood to really give it to O’Sullivan in this match. Importantly Stevens beat O’Sullivan in the Welsh Open so he knows he can do it which is a big thing and I expect him to win at least eight frames before O’Sullivan’s extra class prevails. 21. Re: Conference 21st April and 25th April TV preview: 4pts Barnet (-1) to beat Gateshead 4/5 Betfred Gateshead’s decline has surprised me. If they were at their best they would provide a stern test for Barnet here but they are not and so I fancy Barnet to seal the title in style. They have led the Conference for 95% of the season so it would be fitting if they win the title and if they do it in style it would put the gloss on what has been a fine season. Barnet have seen off Halifax 3-0 here and Welling 5-0 here in recent weeks and this one could go the same way. 22. Re: Manchester City v Aston Villa > Saturday April 25th 4pts Aston Villa (+1.75AH) to beat Man City 1.95 Bet365 I actually fancy Man City to edge this match but the value has to be on the huge Asian handicap Aston Villa have on their side. City never needed to get out of first gear last week so we can’t exactly say they are back to form. Villa lack consistency but under Tim Sherwood they don’t lack for heart and commitment and I think they’ll go at City here and that has been a successful ploy against them for teams recently. City may well win but I don’t think we’ll lose the lot with Villa on the Asians. 23. Re: Southampton v Tottenham Hotspur > Saturday April 25th 4pts Under 2.5 goals 4/5 Bet365 I think this will be competitive in what is likely to be a lively atmosphere supporting the home side especially with them all likely to be very happy to put one over their former manager. Southampton are a very solid side who don’t concede many and don’t score many either and I’m not convinced Tottenham will break them down easily. Saints aren’t expansive so Tottenham should be able to defend well here so I’m all for under 2.5 goals. 24. Re: First Utility Super League 2015 Friday preview: 4pts Leeds (-6) to beat Warrington 19/20 Spreadex Leeds have looked unstoppable in recent weeks and I expect them to come through this with a bit to spare as well. Warrington aren’t firing on all cylinders at the minute and this Leeds side are hard to contain when you’re not playing well as St Helens found out last week. Throw in the record Leeds have on this ground and I fully expect another home win and one which covers six points. 25. Re: Indian Premier League 2015 Friday preview: 4pts Rajasthan Royals to beat Royal Challengers Bangalore Evs Coral The Royals may have lost last time out but I think they are worth persevering with here. They played a bit of a shambles of a super over but up until then they were going really well in the tournament. Bangalore haven’t got started yet and they are so batting heavy that you do fear for them if they have to bat first. I’ve seen nothing to suggest Bangalore should be favourites here so I’ll take the home side.
