    Re: Antepost > Premier League Relegation I might be speaking as a Cardiff fan but I certainly do not see any value in us with the relegation battle at this stage. We've kept the promotion winning team and added some quality signings throughout the spine of the team, plus there is the ability and interest to add further, if needed. 17th spot or above is the simple target this season but Malky will aim for mid-table. There will be an initial air of uncertainty around us in the betting field but I think we'll be safe enough come May.

    Re: HT/FT Betting Advice Most people will advise you to stick to singles as this would generally give safer returns in long run. As for stakes, stick to bets being worth a small percentage of your overall bank (eg between 2-5%). With this strategy, you can apply this to your back testing and see the results. The other thing I would add is if you find a strategy is that bad, can you make money by laying it...? :welcome to posting on PL

If this is your first season at punting, my first advice would be to paper trail any bets to find out where the weaknesses and strengths are and use this to improve your betting strategy. Secondly, if you are producing a 100% book which can be measured against the bookies prices, it might be worth googling the Kelly Criterion (if not done so already) as a possible way of knowing how much to bet when. If you are paper trailing, you could then compare this way of betting against other methods (eg taking on your own bets rather than following a system 100%). And :welcome to PL, by the way!
