  1. Re: Darts - World Grand Prix - Oct 23 Boylesports is going a standout 33/1 1-2 1/2 still.:cow

1 outright bet for me (not one to be hugely confident with though). Bob Anderson to win (each way) @ 25/1 (Blue Sq) I've taken the 25's here as its 1/2 each way, not the 1/3 @ 28/1 with Premierbet. He let everyone know he's still got it last night, beating a Colin Lloyd playing well. He has as good as a bye in the 2nd Round, and will probably have a toss up with Terry Jenkins in the quarters. The only worry is his consistancy, but 12.5/1 for him to get to the final is too big, and he's took Taylor and Barneveld to the limit before so wouldn't be a pushover in the final either (not that I'd expect him to win).
  2. Re: World footballer of the year Totally agree Cannavora has this in his bag - should be evens. Had a bit on him earlier at 2/1 at Coral.

Odds for this year's award from Ladbrokes: Fabio Cannavaro 9/4 Ronaldinho 3/1 Thierry Henry 9/2 Andrea Pirlo 10/1 Zinedine Zidane 10/1 Miroslav Klose 16/1 Andrei Shevchenko 33/1 Jens Lehmann 66/1 I don't see any odds at Blue SQ right now. Bettingzone Market Moves for 2006's award: 1000: Ronaldinho is the 9/2 second favourite to become the first player to win the FIFA World Player of the Year. The only person ahead of him in Blue Square's betting is Italy's World Cup winning captain Fabio Cannavaro at 15/8. The online firm's Richard Bloch said: "The FIFA World Player of the Year is always a hotly contested event. The World Cup normally dictates who walks away with this coveted title and as such it looks unlikely that Ronaldinho will make history and walk away with a third title. "Cannavaro was unlucky not to walk away with the Golden Ball at the World Cup but he may be luckier this time around and 15/8 looks good value."
  3. Re: GOLF: Reno Tahoe Open As expected Yusaka faded a bit - didn't look at that ROTW bet closely, if its including europeans it still looks close - much like the top 10 bet, but he's in great form and recovered excellently after 2 successive early bogies. Fingers crossed for your bet as he's just 1 behind Chopra - yet there's two strong challengers just 1 stroke behind him with Shigeki and Alex.

My apologies to Mr Miyazato, achieving such a feat did deserve a name! Ridle, my ROTW bet actually includes the Europeans, thats why i got 28/1. So although i'm confident i wouldnt say it was 'nailed' just yet. Nice to see you around the Golf Forums mate, i did notice your tip on Benson the other week, decent shout that! Bets of luck, BH
  4. Re: GOLF: Reno Tahoe Open

Some Japanese guy gets 2 holes in one in the same round today!!!! Never seen that before.:eek
Have been hanging around here and there - and started to focus on golf recently. Some japanese guy is a bit unfair to him - Yusaka is the brother of Kyoshi and Ai Miyazato - the rather popular LPGA player. He's playing on japanese tour , but only average performer, so his position currently is a huge surprise - doubt he'll be able to keep it. The place part on your ROTW bet looks nailed - looks like it was a better option than top 10. :ok
  5. Re: GOLF: Reno Tahoe Open I've been following and backing Day since he started playing on PGA recently - Took him ew and Top 10 at Stan James for this, 19 Top 10 esp looks good. He played very well even in the strong fielded International, played a few holes bad on day 3 to miss the second cut, but looked very good before and that field was much stronger.

  6. Re: ATP Toronto Masters Series 7th-13th August Not looking bad for Richard. :cow

Quite a few books betting on this event on the outright market, so a bit of value to be had in my eyes: Haas @80/1 ew Stan James Tursunov @100/1 ew Skybet Gasquet @150/1 ew Sportingbet Mirnyi @250/1 ew Boylesports Ferrer @200/1 ew Sportingbet Others I like at big prices: Malisse-Hrbaty-F Lopez-Ginepri Just having a dabble as I hope to see Federer not wnning the Roger's Cup :loon

  8. Re: ATP Sopot/Washington 31st July - 6th August Must have been a close match - pity he lost. I guess he likes the surface in Sopot much more than most other players - and he had to defend his points won last year here as opposed to most other, unmotivated players. The challenger he won was very weak so i doubt that that really played much of a role. I remember watching him in Wimbledon a few years ago, he was looking so great but then appearently lost it-perhaps he's going to use his full potential from now on :ok

Last time Davydenko was in a final was against Robredo who was given slightly better odds Mayer..I dont know what shape Robredo is in at the moment but mayer gave him a good stuffing. Davydenko has history of losing in spots like this...3.5 is way tooo big for a guy who has beaten calleri' date='and robredo...(I would class them 2 as claycourters through and through) IMO callerie gave up at the end cus he didnt want the loss on his record. He may have been injured but he only had to lose 2 more games..Damn Andy Murray plays a whole set with cramp at times..LOL...Has anybody watched Mayer play recently??? has he changed anything or did that win in the challenger give him a major boost???..I know you have got the place for mayer reaching the final, but fingers crossed for the all out win today!!!! :clap[/quote']
  9. Re: ATP Sopot/Washington 31st July - 6th August

IMO calleri is better than davydenko on clay at the moment' date=' so mayer will be good value....Gr8 price you got Ridle.....Ill be pulling for ya tomorrow.:hope :clap[/quote'] I was curious what I could have gotten backing Mayer in every single match - these were the odds for Mayer in every round at Pinnacle (though I guess Calleri would have been voided): 1.3 x 3.1 x 2 x 2.4 = 19,34 to enter the final - but wow he's 3.5 vs D'Donkey so the win price that way would've been 67,7. So the 50s Bet365 would have been a great bet especially on the place part - a pity there were no one else daring to lay that price. :dude
  10. Re: Track & Field: Super Grand Prix Lausanne 11/7

Wallace Spearmon was ahead of Bolt with 10 m to go but when he saw that there was no chance to win the race he slowed down and lost to Bolt by 2/100 of a second :spank
I don't think Spearman slowed down at all - it was the 2nd fastest 200m race ever and both Spearman and Bolt finished in times which should have easily won earlier events - 19.88 and 19.90.:notworthy
