  1. Re: Tennis - 24-30 October

Its £75 and you get worked up about it? If you get worked up over peanuts you got no chance for the long run, forget it and move on. Anyway...... Brands + 5.5 10/10 Been waiting for the line and been hammering it where ever I can. Got average of 1.72 and snapping it up everywhere. Brands been a monster this week, hes almost unbreakable and could even win the game. Play speaks for itself. This is a 10/10 for me.
Where have you taken that price mate? With Bet365 it is 1.61
  2. Re: Cricket : Champions League Twenty20 2011

:welcome to PL gemzaib. Good call on Ruhuna. 2 for me in this later match. 3pts Somerset to beat Kolkata Knight Riders 15/8 Betfred With Ruhuna winning the opening match of the day then the margins are a wee bit too close for one side to bat out an equation which sees them going through. The simple equation is whoever wins this match will definitely be through and I expect that to be the way the match is played. I wasn't all that impressed with Kolkata in the opening match and they should've lost but their bowling attack just about saw them over the line but I'm still willing to take Somerset in this match. Somerset bowled well against Auckland and their batting held their nerve to get the job done and that should give them the confidence that is needed to go on and win this match too. Generally Somerset aren't good under pressure so it was pleasing to see them win under pressure yesterday. Although they are missing a few key players if the likes of Trego, van der Merwe and Kartik perform to their best then they will have every chance in this match. There is also the potential for Kolkata to be batting second here and with their run rate being marginally better than Somerset's they could have a smoother chase to ensure they qualify without winning the game. I'll go with Somerset in this one as a value pick. 4pts Over 5.5 6's 5/6 Skybet This line looks very low to me. We've just seen a match in which there have been 10 6's hit and neither of the sides had anyone with the hitting power that Yusuf Pathan has. 5 or so overs of Yusuf Pathan and this one is in you would think but it's not all about Pathan. The likes of Bisla, ten Doeschate, Shakib and Tiwary can all clear the ropes while Somerset have Trego, van der Merwe and even players like Kartik and Maschede if they are shoved up the order. Brett Lee aside there isn't a huge amount in either bowling attack which can't go and with the rain which fell on the wicket earlier potentially juicing it up a bit I think the ball could well come onto the bat and if it does I believe we'll get the required 6 6's in. This line just looks a bit low for a wicket which didn't play too badly in the first game it was just that Leicestershire couldn't play spin.
Nice call on Somerset and the sixes Kev. Well done:clap:clap What an innings by Ten Doeschate; real shame that KKR don't use him to his potential.

One early bet for tomorrow's game. 4pts Leicestershire to defeat Trinidad & Tobago @ 2.00 Bet365 Although T&T gave me a nice victory to start off still I am not convinced by their performance. I expected them to win more comfortably but that clearly was not that case. Their top order seemed to be struggling against the slow bowlers. Even though Bravo was there till the end he never got going. It was clearly evident that they were missing their power players Pollard and Dwayne Bravo. Leicestershire on the other hand are a well balanced side and they don't mind to start as underdogs. We all witnessed what they did in the Friends Life T-20. They have a knack of pulling out victories out of nowhere as we have seen in the final against somerset. They have a good balanced side with spinners who like to choke the opposition. In Abdul Razzaq they have a power player who will enjoy batting in the familiar condition. I think it will go Leicestershire's way because they are a mentally tough side who can keep their cool in close encounters.
Wow what a dismal performance from Leicestershire. It never looked like they had their heart in the game. The way they set their field was like they were waiting for catches.:spank Never tried to force the issue by stopping the singles. As for their batting; the less we talk the better. :@
  4. Re: Cricket : Champions League Twenty20 2011

I didn't really mean they were bad wickets' date=' just strange, and felt like the batsmen didn't have any confidence in them because once they lost a few wickets they stopped going after it.[/quote'] Well that seems to me the trend in the tournament so far. So far it looks like the best time to score runs is the powerplay and once the new ball loses its shine it really gets tougher to get it away.

  6. Re: Cricket : Champions League Twenty20 2011 One pick for me from the opening day. 5pts Trinidad & Tobago to defeat Ruhuna Rhinos @ 1.80 Bet365 Trinidad & Tobago had a undefeated run in their domestic T-20 campaign and that was mostly due to their strong bowling attack. The largest total that any team managed against them was 136. In Ravi Rampaul they have a cunning fast bowler but their strength is their spin attack of three good spinners in Ganga, Badri and Narine. With the likes of Barath, Simmons and Darren Bravo they have quality batsman who can compile a good score against any attack. On the other hand Ruhuna's bowling has been weakened by the omissions of Suraj Randiv(Opted to play for Chennai Superkings) and Welgedara(On International Duty). Track in Hyderabad is likely to assist the spinners so Trinidad & Tobago have a strong chance in this opening fixture.

  7. After a humiliating defeat from England we now return home for some T-20 action. Last years winners Chennai Superkings will try to defend its title from some of the very best T-20 sides of the world. I have been quietly profiting from the picks of the others and I thought its about time that I got involved with the community. 8. Re: Tennis - The US Open 2011 What a match! Only the second out of 184 instance when Federer lost after being 2 set up. I really believe it was the best shot he had at a grand slam title. Now being blown I really doubt if he is going to win another in his career. Psycho you are right mate on him retiring; should walk away when you are good.

  9. Re: Tennis - The US Open 2011

Pennetta's odds have gone up 15 cents with my local punting agency, any reasoning why? Pennetta injured? Exhausted? Any info would be highly appreciated :unsure
I don't think either is the case here. I have been watching the odds on Bet365 and it started with 1.4 on Pennetta and then it started drifting in her favor. Yesterday it was 1.36 and now it's 1.33. So, no idea why your local bookie is rising the price on her. :unsure
  10. Re: Tennis - The US Open 2011

we are now just ruining the topic here' date=' here is not the place to speak about that, and you will see there will be a new rule in the competition next month. Read it and you will understand what I am talking about. The main idea is that he got 2 x 10 stake picks, and more than 90 % of his other picks are with x 1 stake, which is making his picks useless and he is participating here only for the prize. I still believe the prizes are good thing, but the main idea of this forum and our tips is to help each other. good luck and stop ruining the topic please :))[/quote'] I totally understand it now. I just had a question which I had to ask; it's not my intention to hijack the thread.:ok
  11. Re: Tennis - The US Open 2011

haha you got 1 thanks more, this is nonsense mate :) If you are real player, you will make 15 tips, with an average stake of at least 7 points, not to put 1 point as a stake in more than 90 % of your picks, trying to keep your yield % high as possible. You are acting as a MOUSE ! trying to cheat the competition. I contact already the site and the sponsor and there will be new rule in the competition for such players like you. Just read the rules next month, cause you wont be able to cheat :) GL with your bets anyway
Betting on favorites is a dangerous thing to do especially when you are picking up such short odds. I myself have been guilty of doing that in the past and have got burned. While I don't agree with his stalking plans and picks but how is that cheating, mate?:unsure
  12. Re: Cricket: Clydesdale Bank 40

+15.60 now. 2 for tonight. 5pts Middlesex to beat Derbyshire 8/11 Skybet This is an important match for both sides in Group A after Sussex's win last night. Middlesex will go level on points with the Sharks if they win this and perhaps just as importantly they will go 3pts clear of Derbyshire. Derbyshire will move into 2nd with a win and they'll be just one point behind Sussex. However I think Middlesex will win tonight. Steven Finn is still in their squad despite Chris Tremlett's injury while the likes of Malan, Rogers, Newman and Stirling are all in good form with the bat. Tim Murtagh and Corey Collymore back up Steven Finn nicely with the ball. Derbyshire have a real good player in Martin Guptill and the likes of Chesney Hughes, Wes Durston and Wayne Madsen are good batsmen and the Falcons will be pleased to have Greg Smith back but for me their bowling attack doesn't match up to Middlesex's and the bowlers will be crucial at Lords. Jones, Turner and Groenewald are good in their own right but they don't match up to Middlesex's pace power and that can be the difference. I expect Middlesex to win on their own patch here.
Getting back into the game after a hiatus and pretty happy to tail you on this for all the same reasons mentioned. Good Luck:hope
  13. Re: Tennis - June 6-12

LOST. :sad Kolschreiber had one of his days and Hewitt isn't as back to form on grass as I first believed, way too passive, he was waiting for Kolschreiber to miss, hardly ever dictated the play, didn't even attempt it, just kept on trying to counter attack. Really pissed off ATM, more than you would believe, had Roddick, Hewitt, Troicki and Petzchner all in a £20 accumulator.....
You just summed up how I feel right now. Hewitt, on some day looks like a formidable figure on grass court and next day he delivers a below par performance like this one. Whats more pathetic than his game was that he hardly tried to control the play. Pathetic display of tennis from him but now I have accepted the fact that he plays his tennis this way only. Thats the reason he is such an under-achiever:@
  14. Re: Cricket: Friends Life t20

Ok answers on a postcard as to why Northants would welcome the best seam attack in the country to their ground and then give them a green wicket to play on :wall:wall. Idiots. To round off a thoroughly sick night Worcestershire lost by 2 runs' date=' two runs which by all accounts were a wrongly signalled 4 which should've been given as a 6 :eyes.[/quote'] Another bad day for me too. Lost significantly on the televised game but cut some loss on essex. Do you get to watch other games live as well or just the single one?
  15. Re: Cricket: Friends Life t20 Yeah, Razzaq's innings was amazing to say the least. He pulled out a victory out of thin air. It reminded me of last year when he did the same against south africa in abu dhabi. With him is form Leics prospects are looking good this season.

Razzaq's blinder of an innings was a pleasure to watch. Croft and Taylor didn't do too much with the bat' date=' thankfully Cobb played a stupid shot first ball to get me at least one win, whilst the ducks bet was void due to D/L.[i'] -2.50 today though, leaving me on -1.50 overall. Hopefully can have a few good days this week to make up for the losses.
What stat is this? Is it your percentage for this season? Sorry for asking but I am not aware of these terms even though I have been betting on cricket since last four years.
  16. Re: Cricket: Friends Life t20

I sometimes bet in play but I don't post them up here because the forum rules/ettiquette is that picks are posted up before the event so that others can get on. Some people post up in play picks in the glory hunters forum if you wanted to follow them.
Thanks for the friendly advice. As you can see I have joined today only so I am still learning the etiquettes of this forum. Each forum has its own culture and I am still grasping this one's and this is why I have posted less then I'd have like. I will definitely be posting my picks in future when I feel more comfortable here. Cheers :ok
  17. Re: Cricket: Friends Life t20

Take Essex at 9/10 tb Sussex' date=' I got Evens on Monday but 9/10 is still acceptable for a team that have a 18-9 win record at Chelmsford the last 5 years and have a better team than Sussex even allowing for the defeat at Hove[/quote'] Will definitely take this one mate. Lets see how it goes. I will wait for the TV match to start to see how it goes. I am still not sure where my money is despite being disappointed by the Lancs couple of times last season.
  18. Re: Cricket: West Indies vs India - T20 International & ODI Series

-3.50 for the first ODI for me. Harbhajan bet won but I was a wicket short with Windies and Bravo. Haven't really had a lot of time to look into today's 2nd ODI so I'll just take the bet which will be a regular occurance on the spinning wickets in this series. 2pts H.Singh Top India Bowler 11/4 Blue Square Harbhajan took 3 wickets in the opening match and had a catch dropped off his bowling as well as this West Indies side continues to struggle to play spin. It isn't as though they are trying to score off it because they seem to have accepted that they just can't. Harbhajan bowls at the key stages of the innings which makes me lean towards him more than Mishra. I see no reason why West Indies are suddenly going to play spin any better and on a ground where spin averages a wicket every 27 runs in ODI's I'll take Harbhajan to pick up the most West Indian scalps for the 2nd ODI in a row.
Yeah similar to Kev' date=' I haven't looked into the game with enough detail so I'll leave it alone and hope Kohli and Pollard (if he plays) are the two stand out players on show.[/quote'] Do you guys bet on live in play markets. Wondering if there is anyone here who bets on innings runs:unsure
