  1. Re: Euro 2016 Qualifying > Monday September 8th

The moment i saw this match I thought that is screaming for goals and i couldn't believe my eyes when i saw tha over 2,5 goals is well above evens. Not much quality reasoning from my side beside the general story about how both teams are attackingly oriented, but i got to follow my hunch on this one. In last qualifing cycle these teams were in the group and home teams prevailed with 2-1 results. Over 2,5 goals @2,2 local 8/10
I don't recall harder loss in a long period of time, but heck, it happens. I haven't been able to watch the match so I can't give any comment. Anyway it still seems to me as that I made right call. Sorry if anyone followed.
  2. Re: Euro 2016 Qualifying > Monday September 8th

Austria - Sweden Austria's goal is to try and get in between Sweden and Russia to get the ticket for Euro 2016, something which is accesible as from now on 2 teams of each group go straight to Euro or at least be in the 6 best 3rd teams. They need a qualification like this as it is something they chase for years and their only presence in a final stage of an international cup is in Euro 2008 but they got the ticket there as hosts.Kavlak is injured and won't be playing tonight but the fans are expected to fill the stadium in Vienna. Sweden is one of the favourites for the qualification and they need to prove it on court today against a strong opponent.Ibrahimovic is reaching 100 caps with Sweden today and maybe he is in a mood to party! It's a game very likely to end with 3 or more goals. Over 2,5 @ 2.26 Marathonbet

  3. Re: Newcastle United v Crystal Palace > Saturday August 30th Best home win of the weekend for me. From the highlights i saw, Newcastle have played pretty good in the first two games and should have considered themselves lucky for not winning more points. In second half against City they were the better team and they should have won against Villa. A lot of new faces and team probably still need time to gain coherence and consistency but they were very solid up until now. I haven't saw much positive things in new season for Palace. Pulis was too big factor that his departure can not have effect. They were solid first match against Arsenal, but Gunners don't seem to be playing well at all at the start of the season, while West Ham dismantle them in a very easy way last weekend. If i remember well from last season, until Pulis came, Palace won only vs Sunderland who at that time was in a very bad mood under Di Canio. Also, Newcastle won both matches last season even while Pulis was in charge so I don't see why it should be any different tomorrow. Strong home win @1,8 (local)

  4. Re: UEFA Champions League Qualifying > August 19th & 20th Celtic played very good game. They were in control most of the time and should have scored more goals but thanks to the misfortunate Johanssen (defended clear goal for Celtic at the goal line ,epic situation :), and missed one on one later in second half) they didn't. In some period of game the were too careful and with more direct approach the probably would have gained a better result. Anyway, Maribor should be the happier side with the the today's result

  5. Re: UEFA Champions League Qualifying > August 19th & 20th If my memory serves me correctly, Arsenal was very reliable in these qualifiers during the past years and they played quite a number of matches since they finished fourth on numerous occasions. I remember very comfortable wins over Udinese and Fener, teams which are far superior than this Besiktas side and Gunners were in my opinion less stronger than today. From my experience Arsenal never had the problems with this middle class European teams (I can't remember some unexpected loss, please, correct me if I am wrong). I heard from some sites that Turks will be without their best player Hutchinson so that would be another thing that goes in the favour of Arsenal. For me, this is one of the better bets of the season and I will pull the trigger on Arsenal without much hesitation, because I think that they are far superior than the opponent and because of the importance of the match. Arsenal @1,65 10/10

  6. Re: Ligue 1 Orange > August 15th - 17th I never like to bet on teams who overperforms in the previous round which I think is the case with Lorient. I think there is too much influence on the price from that game. In my eyes Lorient and Nice are pretty much equal teams and there is no reason for such big favouring of the home side. Nice also had very good match with Touluse scoring three goals along the way. Just my saying, anyway, goodluck with the bets

  7. Re: Ligue 2 > February 28th - March 3rd Almost another ht/ft jackpot :D. Not much of knower of Ligue 2, but I thought this was a very quality game, especially in the first half. Seemed to me that Lens was quite lucky to not be even more behind, they looked clueless for most part of the second half before the set piece goal and a penalty, in the end could have even turned it around. Anyway, glad that the overs went in, many thanks to Meatman for the information about defensuve missings

  8. Re: Ligue 1 Orange > January 17th - 19th Psychology of a mass does wonder :). This forum reminds me very much of the mentality of my people (Serbian). When things go well everybody does the tapping by the shoulder, but as soon as something goes wrong everybody races who will be the first to drown the guy deep in the mud. We have a guy here who every week brings twenty great previews of Ligue 1 and 2 (just to write that amount of useful info should be enough to put a statue) and of top of that suggest very useful picks. People expect wonders, nobody can hit every single pick, but to come here with a story "even I can hit Real + Barca" is really rude. Anyway, thanks to Meatman, and a wish for a bad streak (happens to everyone) to ends as soon as posibble. Cheers!

  9. Re: Europa League > Thursday 8th Augist Although I hate betting on our teams because I think they are very weak in european competitions, tonight Zvezda seems to me like a very good choice based on from what I saw in first match. Some may call me foolish beacuse result was very much in favour of Ukrainians, but that was not the whole picture. First half was pretty much even, Zvezda had great chance to take the lead but bad defensive reactions costed them two goals. In the second half, unlike in some previous years, where Zvezda would probably fell apart and conceded some more goals, Zvezda played very brave and attacking which gave them goal and a couple more opportunities before they conceeded naive penalty. Tonight in defense should start new player Martinović who arrived from China, but was a captain of Steaua for some time, in my opinion a very decent defender who should be able to make defense much tighter than in the first match. With the attacking aproach from the first game and the fact that Chernomorets plays much worse away I am very happily backing the home win which is 1.9 at bet365

  10. Re: Champions League > 6th & 7th August Looking by the past results of Partizan, after the close first match, rematches in Belgrade were pretty much always very tight (Genk, Shamrock, Apoel, Tromso, Shirak) so i wouldn't be that sure about goals in Belgrade. Although the hosts dominated pretty much the whole first game they didn't made a lot of clear chances. Partizan goal and second Ludogorets goal were huge defensive mistakes so the fair result should have probably be something like 1 0. Some rumours for this match is that CB Ostojić is coming back in the Partizan defense and that CB in first match Obradović is moving to the RB instead of Aksentijević who is in very bad form right now. Ostojić has many games together with Ivanov and the defense should look much better than in first match. Obradović is certainly not that kind of offensive threat as Aksentijević but is much more stable in defense so Partizan should look a lot safer at the back than in the first match. Everyone who saw Partizan matches this season saw that the team struggles a lot in the offense. Huge lack of creativity and forwards who are out of shape, especially Šćepović. For this game U19 european champion Mitrović is eligible and that gives great deal of optimism to Partizan fans. But I am not so sure that a 19 year old kid, no matter how good is he, could be main attacking weapon at this international level, not to mention that he can be extremely crazy at some moments (red card against Neftchi and 4 matches ban in Europe). With all the given said my best choice would be under which is around 1.7 in local bookies. Goodluck!

  11. Re: CL Third Qualifying Round > 30th - 31st July Everything in the previous posts about Partizan is correct. They never should have been here if the Armenians had a little bit more concentration especially in the first match. You should know, however, that Partizan signed three new players that are eligible to play in this round and altghough they are not very long with the team they will add some quality for sure. From Ukraine arrived defender Obradovic, although pretty old (35 years) he was a standard player in very strong Ukranian league. Last week Djemba Djemba signed (the worst player in MUTD history :D) and from Olympiakos on loan came Montenegrian forward Grbic. Ludo is for sure favourite in this match. The fact that is not on their is far less European experience than Partizan side.

  12. Re: Arsenal V Bayern Munich > Tuesday 19th February When I saw odds for this match it seemed to me that it is not quite fair. No matter how bad and depleted this Arsenal side are, I don't think that they should be underdogs here. Arsenal were always tough nut to crack at home in knockout stages of CL (remember Barca and Milan in the last two seasons). Bayern should be favourite to go through but not in London. My play will definitely be double chance on Gunners. I just don't see them as the losing side on Tuesday.

  13. Re: Aston Villa v Tottenham Hotspur > Boxing Day Usually in sport when a team loses with high score they tend to bounce back in the next game. Villa is, as Shearer said, young team that fails consistency. One week they win at Anfield, next they get 8 goals. After lost at City 5-0, they made goalless draw with Arsenal in the next round. Therefore, I don't believe that Spurs will have easy job at all. Although is probably best to stay away from this match, I think there is some value in backing Villa

  14. Re: Everton v Wigan Athletic > Boxing Day

This is priced about right. Wigan are woeful on the road. They have lost 6 of 8 games and have only managed 5 goals away all season. They have scored 3 in their last 7 away games. Against Arsenal they created almost nothing.
I think this is pretty harsh. They deserved at least a point because they were never second best. I pretty much agree about goals, but also believe that Wigan +0,5 has definitely some value. They are for sure a side that can play competitive game with anyone and they proved that against Tottenham.
  15. Re: Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool > Wednesday 28th Nov

I didn't comment on the game so it would be unfair to reveal my bet but having watched all of that I would say Liverpool not getting at least a point was pretty much a travesty :lol..dominated most of the game and were the far better team in midfield, outnumbering Spurs time and time again, the corner count was crazy 11 or 12-1 to Liverpool. Thought Spurs were largely terrible, the only player they had threatening was Bale, they certainly didn't look like scoring other than the 2 goals, Defoe is so isolated it is untrue and is never going to hold the ball up to get others into the game.. If Levy thinks those tactics are going to progress Spurs more than Redknapp was he doesn't know his arse from his elbow, they were so exciting at home under Redknapp all they did tonight was play on the counter and there is no way they will get into the CL if tonight was anything to go by..try to compare Redknapp's Tottenham and AVB's? There is no comparison.
As I said previously, this Spurs team has atleast 4-5 points more than they deserved. It has to come back to them sometimes and I strongly believe that they will be far of the Europe places very soon.
  16. Re: Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool > Wednesday 28th Nov I've always been suspicious about Boas although Spurs won against WH. I watched them couple of times this season and except Reading they didn't outplayed anyone and I am convinced that they have atleast 4-5 points more than they deserved. Their entire gameplan is based on pace of Bale and counterattacking. The thing that nobody mentioned and could be an important factor is fatigue. This will be third game for both teams in space of 6 days. That should be some sort of advantage for Pool, because they rested more men against YBoys. Because of that I think that under has some sort of value together with the double chance on Pool

  17. Re: EURO 2012 Qualifiers - Tuesday 29 March Match Serbia-Estonia in October was played during very negative period for Serbian team so I think it shouldn't be taken too much as relevant factor. Accumulated tension between former coach Radomir Antić and Serbian FA resulted in sacking him and hiring Vladimir Petrović before match with Estonia. At about that time first Serbian goalkeeper Vladimir Stojković moved from Sporting to Partizan, altough he played for their biggest rival Zvezda earlier which caused frustration among many fans. On that match majority of people were booing to Stojković which created enormously negative atmosphere on the pitch which was, for me, key thing that led to Estonians' triumph. Vladimir Petrović is not a coach without expierience. He previously led U21 Serbian team and reach the final of European championships. Last year he was also incharged in Red Star and was sacked without any appaerant reason when his team, which has never been worse in history, was ahead of Partizan who later managed to reach UEFA Champions league stages. Many people in Serbia think that he is not the best solution for the national team, but I believe he has the ability to bring back our team in top of European football. Since Petrović took command over national team, we managed to beat Bulgaria and Israel in friendly matches. First match was not so good, but we looked very strong against Israel, where it is always hard to play. On Friday was very strange match against Notrhern Ireland. After Ljajić missed an empty net, N. Ireland took the lead near the halftime and had great chance to score second goal. In second half, when Jovanović and Ninković came in, our team took control and turn things around. As for tomorrow's game, I really think that Serbia is one level above Estonians, who are, in my modest opinion, overrated. Home team already lost two big matches at home and Serbia is certainly not worse team than Slovenia. As for the missings; Krasić is in very bad form in Juve, so his absence shouldn't be felt too much (he didn't do anything special in match against N. Ireland), much needed player is Stanković, but Ninković and Milijaš who is playing really good for Wolves lately should do the job. As for the bad pitch, it could be a factor that would help the home team, but I think that the difference in class is too big. Serbia to win 1,8 local Goodluck to you all tomorrow :hope

  18. Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday 17 March

Benfica takes it far more seriously than PSG. The latter didn't send their best teams to the Estádio da Luz for the 1st leg (some players were even upset). Domestic league and cup are the priority for PSG.
I don't know how many of you saw the highlights of the first game. At the time when PSG head the lead 0-1 they could easily go up on 0-2 or 0-3 but they missed couple of sitters for which they have been punished later so I don't believe that they are such big outsiders. Benfica sure seems like a more quality team, but given the fact that PSG need just one goal, anything is possible.
  19. Re: UEFA Champions League > Wednesday 16 March

Nobody favour Lyon here mate.In fact i'm sure Real will win but what i say is i don't think it will be trashing.Win by 1 goal is enough for Real or even 0-0 draw. Most of the people had bayern as a favourite yesterday, look what happened.AC Milan?Everyone was tipping Spurs on handicap-finished 0-0.At this stage of CL almost all teams are good and if you noticed almost all victories end up by no more then 1 goal. That's a point.
Valid point, mate. Lyon is not a naive team at all, and they have an enormous amount of experience during many years in CL, which can be crucial in these kind of games. As i said, last year Real was also huge favorite and we all know what happened, but this year they have Mourinho, which is the key thing, I believe. This will not be an ordinary game and Jose is expert for those matces and is on much higher level than Puel. My prognose, that anything except convincing victory from Real would be a huge surprise for me, is based from what I saw in the first game, but any game is different and always something can happen that nobody counted for.
  20. Re: UEFA Champions League > Wednesday 16 March I don't see why many people here favour Lyon so much. I am not trying to be smart or anything, just remembering the first game. Lyon had one clear chance in first half, after that Real was all over them. In second half they hit bar twice before taking the lead, after that they were in complete control of the game and Lyon later scored accidental goal totally against the run of play. 0-0 will suit Real tonight, but I don't think they will want to fear for their life until the very end. As for last year, it's a good argument for backing Lyon, but I think that tonight they don't have any chance. I will back Real for an ordinary win, maybe even with the handicap. Anyway, goodluck to everybody with tonight's picks :hope

  21. Re: UEFA Champions League > Tuesday 22 February Although Chelsea is in a very bad form and FC Copenhagen being a very solid team that manage not to lose against Barca at home it's hard to bet against a a team that has an attacking force consisting of Anelka, Malouda, Torres and Drogba. All of them could score anytime. Another thing that could go in Chelsea's favor is that Ancelotti has already proven himself with Milan in knockout stages of Champions league. This is last chance for Chelsea to save this season because they already messed up in Premiership and they will go with full strength tonight. That's why I believe that Chelsea has the ability to make positive result tonight and I think they will do it.

  22. Re: Tennis - 9-16 January Robredo to beat Belluci @1,9, local I really don't understand why are odds so high on Robredo. Belluci had tough match last night and I believe that Robredo is far better player than Russell. Beside that, it seems to me that Brasilian is far better player on clay surfaces than on hard. I have very strong feeling that Tommy won't have any problem in beating him tonight. Goodluck
