  1. I don't bet on tennis very much. Last night I had a bet on Cibulkova and watched the match from time to time. That girl Dodin that played against her was far superior and I was pretty much ashamed that I haven't heard about her yet. To those who follow tennis on a dailly basis, I have to ask on opinion about Dodin. Could she be the next big thing in tennis or Cibulkova just had a bad day

  2. Re: FC Porto v FC Basel > Tuesday March 10th

Personally' date=' I thought that was brilliant from FC Porto.[/quote'] I also thought that the quality of their pressing was amazing. Both free kick goals came after they stole away the ball in the opponent's half. Anyway, watched both matches and final result could have been much more worse for Basel. It will be interesting to see what Porto can do further on. If they continue with this quality games they could certainly be dark horse and get very far in the competition.
  3. Re: Coupe de la Ligue > March 3rd - 5th

Watched the game on Sunday and got the feeling that PSG ripped Monaco totally apart. There were several intervales during the match where almost every attack PSG made was dangerous' date=' but really bad finishing cost them. Monaco is a side built for defensive football which they are constantly showing very successfully during entire season but they had great deal of luck against PSG and Arsenal but that can't last forever. According to my source tonight they are without four regular centrebacks (Raggi and Cravalho are long time absentees, but Abdennour and Wallace are fresh). I hate to go against the trends such as defensive style of Monaco, but PSG to sore more than 1,5 and 2,5 goals looks to me like outstanding bets.[/quote'] 2-0 FT. Lazy finishing again, couple of unreal misses at 2-0, shame that it didn't went in

  5. Re: African Cup of Nations 2015 Thread Just love when this happens. I was on overs in Ghana match, but was very pleased at the end because Algeria never attempted anything in the second half. Beside some ten minutes in the first game where Southafricans collapsed, they are playing terrible and at the moment I just don't see how they could Senegal in any way. Plenty of attacking potential, but something just isn't clicking for them.

  6. Re: Leicester City v Liverpool > Tuesday December 2nd

Betting on Liverpool no matter at home or away is very risky' date='no doubt about that. The odds reflect the current form of the teams but Lpool were the better team against Ludogorets. And if it wasn't Sterling who missed from an incredible position and Lambert who didn't threaten Stoyanov for once,Lpool would have won the game comforably. Then, they were extremely unlucky to concede a late equalizer.Again Stoke, they could have been up with 2-3 goals at HT and 2-3 goals after that but managed to score just 1.And if QPR are capable of scoring 3, i think Lpool should be confident on winning this one.Leicester record at home this season is decent but that doesn't really represent their skills.Gerrard was benched against Stoke and i think he will start today.Leicester will start losing sooner rather than later and i can see a perfect opportunity for this to happen today with Lpool slowly improving.[/quote'] Watched the highlights of the match against Stoke at MOTD, and I thought 1-0 was very lucky result for Liverpool. They had their chances, but at 0-0 Bojan (please correct me if I am wrong) hit the post and Pool had clearence from the line so it wasn't one sided affair as you suggest. I remember that Meatman said great thing that when you bet on bad teams, bad things will happen (A lot of bad things happened to Liverpool, similar situation with Dortmund). Liverpool in any moment this season haven't shown that they are a good team. By that I mean that they could connect couple of good games (Tottenham at this point seems just like some rare fluke). Until they show some sign of consistency for me there is no single reason why would anyone want to back them no matter who they would be playing.
  7. Re: West Bromwich Albion v West Ham > Tuesday December 2nd Without Sakho and Valencia (who seem to have some magical touch when it comes to converting chances) West Ham look too much to themselves of last season. That was a team who had 0-0 games written all over them. Last two matches without mentioned duo were just like that. Against Everton match ended 2-1 but with offside goal by Lukaku and deflection goal from Zaratte, but against Newcastle on Saturday there was never any danger for the game to go over. Tonight's opponent fits perfectly in tendency for the match to go under. WBA scored one goal in last four matches but that was one of most clumsiest own goals that could be. Beside Berahino they just don't posess any thhreat for opponents goal. For me, if Sakho and Valencia don't play tonight, this is 10/10 tip on u2,5 goals with a price of 1,7 that I have in my local. With all the uncertainties involving, best thing probably is to wait for team news.

  8. Re: Manchester United v Stoke City > Tuesday December 2nd Some could say that United are rising. but if take a closer look, they won totally undeserved at Arsenal, while Hull seems to me at this point as the worse in form PL team. Without Di Maria, who is absolutely key player I would never make any bet on this UTD side. Stoke is probably the most unpredictable team in the league and they seem to be playing much better on the road (wins at T'ham and City) and they shuld have earned more at Anfield. Bojan seems to be in great form and with Diouf and Crouch they certainly have potential to cause some problems tonight. For me this is no bet match. Gun to the head, some handicaps on Stoke comes to mind, but no bet on UTD at this circumstances.

  9. Re: West Ham v Newcastle United > Saturday November 29th Easy to say something after the battle :). Thought about the bet on under 2,5 goals for a long time, but didn't have the guts to take it. West Ham is a team which probably made the best transfer window signings (Sakho, Valencia, Song) in terms of efficiency. When they are not on the pitch it seems they transform from Jekyll to Hyde in terms of attacking performance and become the good old underish West Ham from last season.

  10. Re: Southampton v Manchester City > Sunday November 30th In the course of the season, City showed just awful defending and that keeps continuing week after week. Although there were some statements that they will try to regroup after the international break nothing has changed. Their defending against Swansea and Bayern were critical. Swansea had beside the goal couple of sitters and just beacuse of the bad finishing they didn't got any points. What to say for match against Bayern. Even with ten men Bavarians totally dominated the game but had a blackout in the last couple of minutes. What is important for me in this match is that Saints are quite good defensive side (bar that goal against Villa) and with the level of City's defending for me they are much closer to winning. I will probably skip this match as I would like that the price for the Saints is bit higher, but i would never put a dime on City with this level of play.

  11. Re: International Friendlies 12th-14th November I am not sure where on this forum I can make post on this subject so I would ask the moderators not to hold any grudge if this isn't appropriate place. I am currently in dispute with local betting shop over first goalscorer for Argentina in last night's match. One of their arguments is that FIFA's official site claims that Ansaldi scored disputable goal although his shot was heading off goal and if the ball hadn't touched Aguero it certainly wouldn't had gone in. Based on some of my previous experiences from similar situatons, goal is always given to the player who altered the path of the ball. What I would like to know is who is in charge off giving the final verdict and is there some specific rule that could be applied in this situation.

  12. Re: West Bromwich Albion v Manchester United > Monday October 20th Could someone please tell me is Herrera fit? I saw match vs Everton and for me UTD is not yet a team that could be trusted. With Rooney (Herrera maybe) out that would mean counting on supernatural performance by Di Maria again. WBA stabilised their form in recent time, couple of good games (L'pool, Burnley) and I think they could have a good chance tonight.

  13. Re: Anderlecht v Borussia Dortmund > Wednesday October 1st Hosts are dominant side in Belgium and they will almost certain take the title so i am sure that they will see this as a great chance to establish themselves as legitimate candidate to qualify to the next round. Anderlecht played very good first match and were the dominant team in Istanbul where not many teams from Europe would be favorites, if they were little more focused they could have easily won the match 0-2, 0-3 but thanks to a late goal they only drew. As was indicated in the previous posts, group consists of many extremely talented youngsters together with couple very experienced players. Regarding Drtmund, they are struggling big time. They are struggling with injured players from long time and have done fairly good job but since Mkhitaryan injured (their biggest offensive threat with Reus) they manage to take one point from three games in Bundesliga vs far inferior opponents. I was on Arsenal against them but they somehow pulled through magnificent performance but it seems that they just can't achieve some decent level of consistency. Therefore, I just gotta take Anderlecht DNB @4, local

  14. Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday September 18th

I wouldn't back Partizan in anyway' date=' Spurs probably will rotate but still its enough to beat Partizan. I cant remember the last time Partizan played a really good match in europe besides against some poor teams from Faroe's, Azerbaijan, Luxembourg etc.[/quote'] Although it doesn't have to mean anything, historically Partizan always gave their best games against British clubs, just ask Newcastle fans ;). One of my friends always jokes that their downfall began when we kicked them out of Champions league and that they never got on their feet after that which is not far from true. Anyway, that was way back in the past. About today's Partizan: they got kicked out of Champions league from Ludogorets on away goals, in Belgrade they shot themselves in the foot. They came back from 0-2 to 2-2 but the defender got stupid red card and that was that, after that, pretty comfortable win over Neftchi. Important thing is that Partizan did what they were expected to do, get in the group stage and from now on they willl play without pressure. Spurs will pass this group no matter what happens tonight and it's certainly not a matter of life and death for them to win tonight. I somehow have the feeling that draw will suit for both teams. One more thing, pitch is in the pretty bad shape. When French team played friendly match 10 days ago, Schneiderlin and Benzema gave some comments that they never played on worse pitch and after this match the ground will be replaced. I think there is a lot more better choices for tonight. My money is also on Y boys. Slovan should have been out of Europe long time ago, Sherrif side dismantle them, but somehow lost. Swiss are far more stronger and experienced side and that will be proven tonight. Home win @1,75 is great choice, couple of units on all available handicaps also. Goodluck to all.
  15. Re: FC Bayern München v Manchester City > Wednesday September 17th Even if they got the draw against this weakened side what good whould it do for them. This team certainly wasn't built to lose in 1/8 finals and I don't see them getting further with this game plan. That could do with Chelsea but City just don't have the defensive mentality to play on 0-0. Bayern is better team then them whether they play bunker or some run and gun style but to me it seems that in some open play they might even get some chance while this way it is just one way street.

  16. Re: FC Bayern München v Manchester City > Wednesday September 17th

Bayern @1,6, high stakes Third time in last four years these teams are together in the group stage of Champions league. Some may say that City have two wins but if you take a closer look both of them came in the final rounds when Germans already secured first place. When it mattered, Bayern had no problems, especially last year at Ettihad where they destroyed them with ease. Regarding this season and current form, i don't like what i saw from City. Beside solid win against Liverpool they shown very little. Undeserved win at Newcastle, home defeat vs Stoke and 15 minutes of good play vs Arsenal (five in first and ten in second half). Didn't had the chance to see Bayern this season but from the results, even with numerous missings they somehow get the job done. With Benatia and Alonso they will probably gain more defensive stability then before. Truth to be told, i don't know what to expect from Pellegrini, but when I remember matches against Barca and his ultra defensive tactics i don't believe that he has what it takes to make success in Europe. If City repeat the display from Saturday, there is no hope for them, because Bayern isn't Arsenal. Goodluck to all!
Came in the dying seconds, but fully deserved. Could have been 3-0 after 20 minutes but Hart had one of those monster games, also some of the penalty calls went against Bayern in the second half. City were pretty poor, defended most of the time as expected, even against this depleted Bayern side.

  18. Re: Borussia Dortmund v Arsenal > Tuesday September 16th Being that terrible as they were, Welbeck still had two great situations to put them in front in the first half, not that it means that would change something, considering how bad they were. When he was in United whenever I watched him it seemed that he just doesn't have that killer instinct in front of goal and that he needs a lot of chances to convert one. Maybe that match against Swiss was just a fluke, we'll see later on in the season.

  19. Re: Borussia Dortmund v Arsenal > Tuesday September 16th I'm on Arsenal DNB. Saw Dortmund against Leverkusen and they looked pathetic and clueless to say at least. Since then victories over Augsburg and Freiburg but I don't see them nowhere near the level of Arsenal. They have problems upfront, Immobile doesn't look good, new guy Ramos is yet to show himself at this level of play, Reus injured, Kagawa scored on debut but I could compare him with Sahin who has been shadow of old himself since he return and he is also yet to prove himself. Only real threat for me is Mkhitaryan. Many injured players also doesn't favourable for them. Arsenal for 80 minutes was superior over City and should have had probably higher lead but they fell apart completely in the last minutes and lucky not to have lost the game. They have great pace upfront and i believe that Welbeck and Sanchez will give big headache to Dortmund defenders. Last year teams were also in the same group, both road wins. Goodluck

  20. Re: Hull City v West Ham > Monday September 15th

I am leaning towards over @2' date='2. Allardyce was under pressure to start playing more interesting football then last year and it seems that something indeed changed in their approach. First game with Tottenham only 0-1 but with early missed penalty from Noble which would open up the game and then two goalish games (3-1 win over Palace and loss with the same result against Saints). Hull brought some very attacking players during transfer deadline (Diame, Fernandez, Ramirez, Ben Arfa) so they should pose more threat going forward than in previous games. Price for over seems okay to me, maybe some of the fans who have a closer insight abut the teams could share their opinion? Thanks in advance[/quote'] Only got to see the second half. Great pace and a lot end to end stuff with a couple of comical defendings. What a goal from Valencia, probably goal of the season so far. Also nice to see W'Ham playing fluent and posession game. If they continue with it wee could see some more overish games from them. Hope that the odds remain this high :D

  22. Re: Euro 2016 Qualifying > Tuesday September 9th I am also on the Holland team tonight. I saw most of last week's match between Czech and Usa as i had a bet on goals and what I saw from Czech was pretty horrible. USA had most of the possesion during the match and in terms of the possesion comparing to Czechs they looked on the level of Barcelona. They scored only goal from mistake by Cech and Darida but they held ball most of the time and ndidn't really had any desire to go forward. If they were motivated I'm positive that they would score couple more goals. Czechs had only one good chance but Rosicky blow it up. Anyway, very discouraging performance from their side. I haven't watched previous Czech games with Vrba in charge (who did brilliant job at Plzen, that has to be said), so maybe some Czech friends can say more information, but if the level of their is like the one shown in the match versus USA this is the bet of the year. About Holland. New coach, but he has been there before so he knows what he should do to get the job done. Far more quality individuals with very good performance in the World Cup behind them. As I remember they are very reliable team in this qualifing rounds and they tend to be among the first teams to qualify. Probable

    • Cech - Kaderabek, Prochazka, Kadlec, Limbersky - Darida, Vacha - Pilar, Rosicky, Krej?i - Lafata
    • Cillessen - Janmaat, De Vrij, Veltman, Blind - De Jong, Wijnaldum, Sneijder - Kuijt, Van Persie, Depay Holland @1,95 8/10 local
