  1. Re: AFL Weeks 1 Of Finals Fremantle @ $2.25 9/10 sportingbet This odds is lunacy imho! how fremantle are underdogs is absolutely horrific. Fremantle 8-3 at home Hawthorn 3-8 away. Yes hawthorn beat the pies last week, but the pies played about 20 minutes of football and kicked about 8 goals to 1, other than that they were as lethargic as ive seen all year. Freo got a confidence building win over competitive carlton and that will hold them in good stead in what was a finals like atmosphere. Hawthorn have some big bodies, but pace of guys like Hill Morabito, Mundy , duffy and even pav when he breaks the line will allow them an easy path to goal. I believe McPharlin will be able to "contain" Franklin enough and Roughead is very up and down so its not too much of a worry. The bookies i can assure you have overrated hawthorns win over last week, i havent been immpressed with them all year, however freo at home with a near full strength side will prove to tough a task for a poor travelling side like the hawks.

  2. Re: AFL Weeks 1 Of Finals

guys i am no expert but i really dont understand the odds, FREMANTLE are 8-3 at home this season, while HAWKS are 3-8 away this season, so why such high odds???? i am thinking of going big on fremantle +6,5 but still wondering why such hig odds!!! thanks
hawthorn are massively hyped up after last week win over ladder leader collingwood. Your stats point a tellling statistic 8-3 home freo hawks 3-8 away. The home crowd should really really assist freo here, i believe many of the public hav overreacted to hawthorns victory over a pies team with NOTHING to play for. All the freos stars are fresh milano i think you would be awise man to back fremantle +6.5 imo.
  3. Re: Tennis - US Open

Yeah looking at it now that Llodra price was laughable. Been in decent form as well even against the top players but has excelled today.
yep it was laughable.. great calls today so far fishy! i had a feeling your predictions would come thru heres hoping they stay good!:hope Took Brown 3-0 so quite happy :lol murray cruising in my high stakes bet and harrison and GGL made it a good day :rollin
  4. Re: Tennis - US Open Murray vs Lacko $1.95 under 28.5games @sportingbet 9/10 The scot playing the slovak here, i see nothing but a comfortable murray win, the weather is blistering and murray will want to spend as little time on the court as possible, he is very good chance to win us open and winning 1st round in the heat in no time would be a very high priority. I can see murray getting on a roll, playing very attacking and if he serves well this game could be over quicksmart

  5. Re: Tennis - US Open Fishy terrific write ups bud, i definitely had Harrison on my list- ljubicic really lacking any confidence atm, Andreev same reason, Brown same reason, minella same reason, And i will defs be tailing you with Tipsa /rod over Roddick is overrated imo, he plays very very defensive tennis at times and this match will defs go over 3 sets best of luck mate:hope

  6. Re: AFL Weeks 1 Of Finals

How do you lads reckon this Travis Tuck saga will effect the Hawks? :unsure Could bring the group closer as the club locks down. I would expect them to come out firing against Fremantle on Saturday.
it wont change a think. just another normal week on the track. He struggled to get a game, so its not going to bring the club closer but i dont think it will affect the 25 going to perth either
  7. Re: Tennis - US Open

mathieu what a ******* piece of shit unbelievable:puke
Do you ever say anything constructive on this site? you should be banned. its either this tennis player is a **** of *** this afl player, everyday i hope you are removed from the site as you never offer anything constructive ive held on saying anything but you do it day in day out
  8. Re: AFL Weeks 1 Of Finals

I'm amazed Freo are 'dogs! :eek They've had a clear pattern all year of beating teams with poor defenses... ...I guess on the surface the Hawks go alright (2.01 overall)...but on the road they are a disaster. 3 true games away this year (@ WC, Port and SCG) they've given up a shot every 1.71 entries!! Even in their last 4 'real' games (refuse to count to Freo 2nds @ Tas), they've given up a shot every 1.74 entries. (Admittedly 2 of those were road games)... Freo have been the better team all year, and Hawthorn simply can't travel. 2.15 is silly, IMO.
taza i just saw this on the footy show im watching also, it is a joke. hawthorn getting backed heavily huge overrated after last week, freo will take care of business
  9. Re: Tennis - US Open

I totally agree on this one. Been thinking about Murray since he was in final of Aussie open to take his first grand slam this year.
Yea mate dumping miles mchalagin or whatever his name was the smartest move his made, him and corretja will be able to get things done, from what ive heard his bipartite patella hasnt been causing much trouble of late which would be the only thing stopping him from winning. he should be clear favourite
  10. Re: Tennis - US Open Andy Murray @ $4.25 to win USOPEN 10/10 Imo this is a no brainer. Bowing out of cinci early will help andy stay fresh unlike last year where he did v. well in both tournaments, in Toronto he obliterated Federer in the final 6-4 7-5 was a shocking resembelance of the actual score, and murray dispatched nadal in semis. His form is terrific, the pressure is mounting in the back of his head but del potro is out and he knows this is his chance, backing federer as favourite would be sheer lunacy as backing players that frame backhands consistently 10metres out of court when it is their strongest weapon is a worry. Berdy Soda both out of form, and nadal knows that this is toughest surface for him and to many guys can break him down. Additonally these 5 setters should be advantageous for andy as him and rafa are easily the 2 fittest men on tour. Get it done 1 time andy

  11. Re: AFL Round 22...final round until finals

Given they were effectively playing one man short, I'd suggest that taking Cousins in probably actually cost them the game... ...btw, in the past I've found it difficult to find a book who will accept in-running bets in delay... :unsure
hehe yea my friend at the game rang me at half time (Live) and we went $200 each on tiges thru my bookie at 70:1 and then i turned my phone of and watched the game (delay) hence only knowing halftime score , it was a shame they lost and i think you are spot on cousins cost them the win, oh well im hoping that kangas hold on it would be nice:hope consolation
  12. Re: AFL Round 22...final round until finals the way you play for someones last game is based on actions not words, i only know the halftime score. it is bad as i watch all matches on tv, but if cousins means anything to the club richmond will win this game, you dont lose milestone games, this year has been perfect evidence of that, group together tiges and give cousins the send of he deserves i have faith

  13. Re: AFL Round 22...final round until finals

guys can i have your opinion on melbourne - north melbourne? odds are 50% / 50% thats the kind of game i like to bet on. on the afl website the head to head says 8-0 for the north melbourne kangaroos..
i thought i wrote a write up for this match but something must of changed my view, yes i know kangaroos have won the last 6 in a row, and they are definitely finishing the year strongly watched insider with brad scott and i think he really believes they will win this week, both two young sides but melbournes youngsters really look to be fading in running out a full year at afl intensity, as shown by the abismal performance against port, kangas have had a promisiing season and to side with someone i would take the kangas, as they will want to get the wood over highly talked about melbourne.
  14. Re: AFL Round 22...final round until finals

Certainly discipline is the key, so no problem with that philosophy, but you hear of so many examples of say the student (well most of us may have had a similar experience) who's done ten of the 1.03 bets that all canter in then decides he's on such a good thing he'll do one a day for some party money only to find mom & dad's term allowance suddenly vanishes, which is what bookmakers have designed to happen, and it will! Nothing wrong at all with in-run betting, from a long term bettors standpoint, providing you can orchestrate it well enough to ensure you are only backing value at the point in time you place the bet. I took 2.50 Carlton just before QT & again @ 6.00 half time. Who actually goes on to win isn't important and even though I felt Fremantle were fave to win for most of the night they were simply a losing punters bet - I stress, IMO.
you are spot on ashtee! all about getting the underdog at the right price alwyas thought freo were in control of that match but you would be stupid to back them at those tiny odds
