  1. Re: Wimbledon 2014

I can definitely see her winning against Bouchard' date=' not so sure about Halep though. If you need the money, however, laying her right now might be the correct option.[/quote'] Thanks for the input czech! was thinking of holding off , thinking she should win today and hoping for a Halep loss ;) And then backing halep maybe in the semis v Kerber!
  2. Id like to start the week of with what i see as excellent value. 9/10 Roddy White under 64.5 receiving yards sportsbet.com.au White has been banged up nearly all year and has really struggled to have the same success as last year. He has 7 starts this year with his highest receiving yards total 40. Additionally he hasnt caught more than 4 balls in a game. Against a saints defense which completed haulted kapernick and his slot receivers , a saints d that ranks 3rd in pass defense only giving up 191ypg im happy to take an under line for Roddy here.

  3. Re: NFL: Week 7 picks R. mendenhall under 47.5 rush yards sportsbet.com 9/10 Mendenhall has failed to reach this figure in the last 3 outings for the cardinals. Coming into this week coach has lashed out at him and the way he trains after his costly 2 fumbles against the 49ers. Andre Ellington has been more productive anyway with YPC and will get the nod ahead starting infront of mendenhall. The other factor is , cards are playing a very stout defense in Seattle who didn't give up 47 yards to Gore/MJDrew or Chris Johnson who are much better backs than Mendenhall.Good luck

  4. Re: NFL: Week 6 picks Denver Broncos over 38.5 points @ $1.92 sportsbet.com 8/10 This IMO is a no brainer, the broncos have racked up 49, 41 37, 52, 51 in the first 5 weeks of the nfl season. Their offense is on target to be the first team to score 600 points in a season and their on target to break 700. Moreno has vastly improved as a running back a good tough runner, while broncos currently have 4 receivers all currently on target for 1000+ receiving yard games. Ive seen alot of nfl in my time and this is hands down the best offense ive ever witnessed, i think it would be somewhat of a minor miracle by the jaguars (the worst team in the league by miles) if they were restricted to under 38.5. FYI bet365.com has this line at 40.5 and $1.60 for overs

  5. Re: US Open 2012 Fishy watched the whole game mate.. just letting you know Isner really struggled in the heat, dont know what his training regiments are like but after he won the third set, was really sweating profusely and struggled to even stay in rallies, just too many lazy unforced errors purely from fatigue!

  6. Re: Brownlow 2011 sometimes i really wonder if people watch football in here..:unsure TO compare judd and swans years last year , collingwood lost 3-4games for the season and swan was dominant in nearly all.. and carlton missed the 8.. if i recall. It was just the game where pies annihalated carlton by 10goals.. judd was horrific in the first quarter and got 3 votes, that shows the joke that the umpires are. brownlow is a absolute fix and a joke. in saying that Judd will win by about 20votes this year if he won it last year, where being a biased collingwood supporter here and watching all games closely swan was dominant in all our wins.. and this cheap possession crap.. swan is one of the hardest gut runners the game has seen .

  7. Re: Tennis - Wimbledon

Hi everyone!:welcome My today picks from sports-competition: Djokovic -8.5 games margin against Tomic / 3.25 in Paddy Power QF of Wimbledon 2011. Seed number two Novak Djokovic vs. player from Q Bernard Tomic. World number two vs. world number 158. Djokovic is experience, inteligent player. Take very serious this match and opponent.. Tomic have potential to play on high level, but at this moment don't have weapons to beat Novak Djokovic. Djokovic in this tournament played against three huge servers like Tomic - Chardy, Anderson and Llodra. All matches won with minimum 9 games margin. Could repeat this result today. Djoker in straight sets. Next three picks from two small tournaments. I don't see Challanger topic here, sorry. 1.Paolo Lorenzi against Jan Hajek / 2.10 in Paddy Power 2.Marco Crugnola against Simone Vagnozzi / 2.70 in 5Dimes 3.Eric Prodon against Stephane Robert / 2.59 in 5Dimes Previews for this picks: 1. First round of Challanger tournament in Braunschweig. Lorenzi in this moment is world number 118, Hajek only 178. Last match, Rijek 2009 in Sf, 2:0 for Lorenzi, on clay. Lorenzi too leading in surface rating - 1.75 in this moment, Hajek have 1.28. Both players are claycouters, but Lorenzi is player who can hold ball in court for long time, not like Hajek who can make ton of errors from the baseline. Lorenzi have two weeks free, after lose in Q for Wimbledon. Had time to preparation, is fresh and can play the best tennis. Hajek in last week go to the final in tournament in Marburg, lose in three sets against Phau. 5 matches, today next match against fresh rival. Hard situation. 2. First round of the tournament in Turin. Two home players at the court. Crugnola is 249(the best position in career is 165), Vagnozzi is 170(the best positon in career 163). Similar level in tennis skills. Two interesting trends: Marco Crugnola has won 5 of last 6 when Opponent is a Fellow Countymen. Simone Vagnozzi has lost 6 of last 7 when Opponent is a Fellow Countymen. Vagnozzi in last week lose in first round at Milano court. In history played 4 times in Turin and never make second round.. Crugnola been here in second round. In this week played Q, won three matches, in final match beat Top seed in Q Antonio Veic. Nice form. 3. First round of Challanger tournament in Braunschweig. Eric Prodon in this moment is world number 107, the best position in career. In this weekend not defending any points, if make nice result here, have big chances to be TOP100. Motivation must be big. Stephane Robert is worse than Prodon in ATP ranking and have surface rating on similar level. Robert since Wimbledon not play, not have points to defend in this tournament. Prodon in last weekend played in Marburg, but have unlucky draw, in first round played against Bjorn Phau winner of the tournament, lose after close match 7-6. 6-3. Prodon for TOP100 dream :hope:hope
Welcome CRonaldo:ok good luck with your bets mate, pretty solid previews heres hoping for a good start:)
  8. Re: Tennis - Wimbledon

I have to agree with you on this one. Murray is far from impressive' date=' he gets nervous easily and simply doesn't show much. Lopez has a solid serve and plays well when advancing to the nets. I would even say that there's a great chance for a tie-break in the first set.[/quote'] Far from impressive, obviously you missed the match against Gasquet.. :unsure probably the most complete aggresive performance ive ever seen from him.. lopez has absolutely nothing that will trouble murray, absolutely horrible in lengthy rallies and murray and djoko are the best returners in the game right now
  9. Re: Tennis - Wimbledon Murray vs Gimeno-Traver under 27.5 games $1.72 10/10 Fishy has summed this up perfectly, murray seems fully recovered after that ankle scare couple of weeks back. Andy had a terrific Queens, served outstanding was taking the ball on the rise (which is the barometer for murray) and really getting looks in on serve due to his aggresive nature. I can see murray blitz this one with a couple breaks in each set due to Gimeno Travers lack of experience on the faster courts as a typical clay courter. Looking back last year Murray started shaky but overcame Hajek 7-5 6-1 6-2, round 2 Nieminen 6-3 6-4 6-2 and Simon round3 6-1 6-4 6-4 all stronger players than Traver on the grass it wasnt until round 4 when murray didnt clear this 27game Total line. The first few rounds are pivotal to waste as little energy as humanely possible and i just see murray tearing down Traver with the new coach making him a bigger force to be reckoned with:ok

  10. Re: Tennis - The French Open Anyone else here think murray and feds odds are both a fair way too high? After all they are the 3rd and 4th best in the world:lol Fed imo has looked the strongest out of anyone this tournament, and rafa looked awful vulnerable against soda last night, his consistency was just missing. Seems like a small play on both wouldnt be a bad idea?

  11. Re: NBA Playoffs - Conference Semi-Finals 2011 Dallas are going to be terrific value in the NBA finals, miami are still overrated by miles imho, they beat philly, boston no rondo, chicago with no offense. Dallas swept LA giving athletic Thunder a beatdown and athletic portland a beatdown, you can see in kidds and dirks eyes they want this thing that bad, and they gonna get it

  12. Re: Tennis - 9-15 May

Agreed. The whole point of the forum is to say what we think as punters. It's not there to criticize others or to fuel arguments. If you disagree you discuss why' date=' not shouting your mouth off telling someone they are wrong. What's the point in that? If that's the case, why not do your own write-ups explaining why you think your bet is appropriate. But what do I know, I'm just a kid ;).[/quote'] thanks fishy:ok btw great stuff mate, everytime i put my 1 tip up:lol in the tennis forum i see your picking winners after winners, real credit to you some real solid stuff mate, i hope you can keep it up through roland garros!!:):hope
  13. Re: Tennis - 9-15 May why are so many people degrading others tips here, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and so constructive criticizm is warranted but hoping it goes no further :\ roejoh makes some good points, after all murray isnt that foreign to the clay he grew up on it.. so gl mate will tail you small stakes:ok

  14. Re: NBA Playoffs - Conference Semi-Finals 2011 Rick keep your head up mate, i had a terrific strike rate, year before last and this year there was alot of weird results, very unpredictable ones which have trended through this playoffs:\ best thing to do is stay aaway for a period of time, and come back stronger, you seem like a knowledgable punter it ll turn round for ya:ok

  15. Re: Tennis - 9-15 May

Simon -3.5 @ $1.97 sportingbet 9/10 Have really had issues with Roddicks game for the past two years, and his passiveness will not help in this one. Very slow courts in Rome, simon should be able to get alook in at roddicks serve, and i really feel he will exploit andy in baseline exchanges. Simon is the kind of guy who can get blown of the court, against big hitters due to his weak serve, but roddick isnt the kind of guy to exploit this, much prefers to chip and bunt it back and i feel this will lead to his detriment in this one:ok
Came thru 6-3 6-3, played well pleasure to watch when his in full flight:ok happy to continue to oppose roddick on the red brick:lol

  17. Re: Tennis - 9-15 May Weird that murray seems to underperform so much on the clay courts, when he was 14 he moved to spain, and played predominantely on clay for 4 straight years, you would really feel this would be his strongest surface:unsure, i think as you stated Atko he just has complete mentally blocks in the biggest of stages, but still would agree he is overpriced at $55 :1

  18. Re: NBA Playoffs - First Round 2011 The NBA playoffs are underway and already we’re getting an idea of who are the contenders and who are the pretenders. One team that looks to have a straight forward draw en route to the finals is the Boston Celtics, who are definitely overpriced at $7.50, and with Shaq very close to getting back on the court and Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen as fit as ever it is hard to overlook this team. A simple 1st round matchup is just what the doctor ordered, and they are definitely showing they are still the kings of lockdown D and offensively they are slowly finding their groove with the new additions Jeff Green and Nenad Krstic. Their next test will be Miami, which promises to be a very exciting matchup with Miami, who are looking to strong for Philadelphia. Assuming this will be the matchup we have to wonder who plays on Rondo. Lebron? We saw how that worked out last year, and this will be a huge factor. Rajon Rondo is 10th amongst point guards in layups converted and makes 63% of his shots at the rim. That's a very good percentage, considering his court vision, which is the best in the league leaving the court spreaders Paul Pierce and Ray Allen wide open as the defence collapses. We must also speculate who plays on Shaq? Considering Miami’s talls are defensively inferior to Boston’s, a big post presence will ruin Miami. Kevin Garnett will abuse Chris Bosh at the power forward position and we have seen time and time again Paul Pierce hold his own against Lebron and same with Ray Allen against Dwyane Wade. Chicago is the hot favourite, but let’s break it down for a second. When your leading scorer attempts six 3’s a game at a clip over 30%, it’s fair to say there are problems with your offence. The Bulls are currently in a struggle with the Pacers (who this year reached the Playoffs with the 2nd lowest 82 game record of all time). Carlos ‘No Defence’ Boozer is showing just how useless he is come Playoff time. First team defender Rajon Rondo will make Derrick Rose accountable and stop him driving to the rim at will and a fit Shaq will cause Joakim Noah fits due to his sheer size. This matchup seems favourable to the Celtics. The only team in the East in my opinion Boston doesn’t want to see during the Playoffs is Orlando. They have a terrific interior post player in Dwight Howard, who is not only a terrific rim defender but also spaces the floor like no other player in the league. Fortunately they seem to be a team void of confidence, and will again fall short of the daunting Playoff successes they have longed for. Looking through the West there is some interesting matchups. Oklahoma City and San Antonio look set for a tussle and the big questions still remain. Kendrick Perkins was a great addition but does he solve their pick and roll troubles against elite guards in which Spurs have two plus George Hill, who is a highly intelligent combo guard. And will Serge Ibaka continue his good form? with Kendrick Perkins dealing with the bigger bodies, Ibaka comes from the weak side and has been damaging since the acquisition of Perkins, averaging 3.4 blocks per game. Lakers and Dallas get ready to duel and I can’t see anything but a Lakers win here. The size and length of Andrew Bynum, Lamar Odom and Pau Gasol is just too much and the fact other than Jason Terry aside, Dallas do not have anyone at their disposal than can exploit the Lakers weak, slow PG position. It’s very tough to say who will come out of the West, but the answer to that question hinges largely on three factors: can Bynum stay health, is Ginobli’s elbow OK and can the young OKC team step up and go one better this year and beat the Lakers in the clutch. All of these are huge factors but I think the Big Four at Boston know that this could be their last chance and this will give them extra motivation. They have been there and done it all before so they know how to win the big games. Meeting the Lakers would represent a chance for revenge and with scores tied with 3 seconds left there is no one you would rather have the ball than Ray Allen.
