Re: Tennis - French Open Going for the overs in the Nadal game, he doesnt look good this tournament and even if he wins straight sets, Melzer still only has to win 10 games, hence 6-4 6-4 6-3 will do nicely, you would have to fancy him to do that

Re: Weekend > Friendly Internationals > 4th / 6th June I'm thinking of going for the -2.5 handicap but it could be too much for the french squad :unsure

Re: Tennis - French Open oh my god, thought that overs in the melzer game was up from the first two sets, well played son ;)

Re: Tennis - French Open Right sorry about my picks yesterday, will see if I can improve on them today. 1) Djokovic Melzer over 36.5 games- 4/5 Labrokes 10/10 For me, like most of the others is near enough a certainty as neither of these players has been on a completely different level to the other, hence I would be astonsihed if either was to win in straight sets without problems. Obviously Djokovic you would fancy in normal circumstances but this is clay, which isnt his favourite like you find with most of the top players, perhaps the exception is Nadal in my opinion. I personally wouldnt put it past Melzer to stun his opponent in 4 or even 5 sets but for me, the over bet is the way to go here. 2) Williams to win straight sets- Evens- Ladbrokes 6/10 Again in my opinion a fairly obvious one. She is so much better than her sister who in truth was hammered by Petrova and the best on the women's circuit by a considerable amount. Watching Stosur in her previous match, she had done well to get this far but feel she wont have the athleticism, power or stamina to cope with Serena, leading to a comfortable victory. Not sure if i will take this one yet, but good chance i may. 3) Shvedova to win at least one set- 6/5- Ladbrokes- 10/10 Choosing this rather than the over games simply due to the odds and this being better than evens with the overs just below evens. If its going to be a match over 20.5 games then likelyhood is Shvedova will win a set and perhaps even the match. Whenever i watch Jankovic she always has something about her which makes me think she is vulnerable to a players lyk the Kazak. Could be some money in this match, but I'm just going to go for her to win a set. :cheers

Re: Tennis - French Open How are u looking at these odds for over?? Looked on all the sites and they dont have them :(

Re: Cricket: Friends Provident Twenty 20
Simple reason for this is that both are soo out of form its untrue. However i would fancy Leicestershire simply due to their players and high scoring agaisnt Middlesex in their recent championship match. I always feel that Derbyshire are the worst team on the county circuit and have been for some time. Not sure if its worth a risk though, but decent oddsLeicestershire 10/11 to beat Derbyshire. 365 actually opened Derbyshire as favs which was beyond me. Derbyshire have no Bosman or Langers yet, have a team in which most of the batsman are out of form and the bowlers are poor. Leicestershire have Brad Hodge, MCDonald, Taylor, Jacques Du Toit, all we have are Greg Smith (in poor form) and Chesney Hughes who are big hitters. This could get ugly. -
Re: Tennis - French Open
Ha not jankovic's biggest fan then ;). Yeah i may go for her to drop a set perhaps, 6/5 at ladbrokes is where i usaully go. May have to go for that only, will have a look at the other games nowCan't stand Jankovic tbh.....when I back her she plays like Murray in GS events, hitting balls in mid-court and serving like a kid. When I oppose her she morphs into Karlovic and firing winners.....;)...to be fair I try to stay away from her as much as possible. I remember Shvedova beating her in the US last year, she has a good game and can trouble her if Jankovic is passive which she usually is for portions of her matches. 6/4 looks like a good price for Shvedova to nick a set...surely play one tight one as it's never plain sailing with Jankovic....though I expect her to progress in the end(hope not though.....:hope) -
Re: Tennis - French Open anybody else fancy jankovic to drop a set tomorrow?

Re: Tennis - French Open
The write up and reasoning seem good... but if I was following you... how do I know which to follow if you don't even know yourself what your going to do tomorrow!! If you gave bet strengths also' date=' that would be great!! Just pointing that out... I rarely tip myself... I'm a professional 'follower'!![/quote'] Sorry Perry you can tell it was my first time lol. I think I've decided to go for the Federer Soderling under 37.5 games at decent odds of 5/6 but i get the feeling it is qutie safe, touch wood. Also I'm still deliberating over the Youzhny match, I do really fancy him if nobody else does but decide when the it comes to it if i want to back him, perhaps even during the game could be the bet. News- Just seen that yesterday Petrova and Stosur retired in their doubles match but people are speculating what was the reason. Perhaps Stosur was tired after her match or Petrova was ill, might want to have a look into that before betting on the Petrova match. Will have to do that myself as i was going to back her -
Re: Tennis - French Open Right as nobody as given specific tips yet, i'm going to stick my head out and give a few, although i'm not sure which ones i'm going to do tomorrow. 1) Federer to win straight sets 10/11-Ladbrokes- Watching Federer this tournament has underlined this bet. He and Nadal are still a long way from the rest in my opinion, although i do believe Nadal will win it eventually, i reckon Federer could cruise this in 3 sets. Defending champion, won't want to give it up yet. 2) Petrova to win- 1.62 StanJames- Must admit i thought Williams would do her in the last game but she was a class above the American, breaking her deadly serve fairly comfortable. Think she will have a bit too much for Dementieva, perhaps in 3 sets, but would go for Petrova to win straight off. 3) Youzhny to beat Berdych-2.79 Bwin- Think I'm the only one who really fancies Youzhny through and through but could be some money in this. Berdych is well renound for cracking in the big games, moreso than his opponent and he has struggled against the Russian in previous encounters. Berdych didnt have to do anything special against Murray but this will certainly push him a great deal further, and in my opinion, too far. That's my first ever tips blog thingy, any good or should i not bother again lol? :hope

Re: Tennis - French Open If we are talking about it coming down to pressure then i would have to back against Berdych against a player of Youzhny's calibre as Berdych is well known for crumbling under the pressure
-
Re: Tennis - French Open
cramer u seem to be fairly good on the tennis, do u not think its worth a look at youzhny to win, as he is fresh from the tsonga game?Don;t think I'm betting anything tomorow. Prices on Berdych and Petrova seem a little low but I don't want to oppose them:unsure -
Re: Midweek > Friendly Internationals > 31st May - 3rd June
after this i'm even considering adding norway to make my bet a treble along with holland and albaniaWe should field the same side that beat Montenegro Saturday, with the nice additions of the Riise brothers (Jon Arne from Roma, and Bjørn Helge from Fulham). I expect us to go 4-4-1-1:Rune Almenning Jarstein Tom Høgli - Kjetil Wæhler - Brede Hangeland - J.A. Riise B.H. Riise - Henning Hauger - Christian Grindheim - Morten Gamst Pedersen Erik Huseklepp John Carew.
though we could end up going 4-5-1 as well. Noteworthy: - We are 34 games without loss at home under this coach (the same coach that led us to 2nd on the FIFA-ranking) - He loves that stat, and will do everything he can to keep it. Expect a defensive approach from the Norwegians.

Re: Finland Veikkausliiga 31-1st June i also have a question for you meitzi if you dont mind. i have seen that tampere have been winning recently, is that down to their easy fixtures or just an improvement in their play, as they have decent odds against jaro. thinking either them or KuPS, any info for me on that? :cheers

Re: Midweek > Friendly Internationals > 31st May - 3rd June
sorry jase was in a rush out lol. firstly albania simply because andorra are completely shocking, on a par with teams such as san marino so whatever team albania put out should easily do the job, i'd say around 2/3-0. Holland I'm going simply on the fact of their last game in which van persie looked sharp as ever with his finishing game up there with the best in the world. As well as this, strong team in being put out, to me it seems that holland are the only team who are taking the friendlies seriously in building up to the world cup, perhaps an outsider for the competetion itself... :tongue2Why? Please could you give us a few words of reasoning. Otherwise the post is of no use :ok -
Re: Midweek > Friendly Internationals > 31st May - 3rd June looks like an albania and holland double for me i think
-
Re: Tennis - French Open does nobody else fancy youzhny tomorrow against murray's conqueror, considering his odds and recent performances. Tsonga retired at the end of the first set in the previous round so he's likely to be fresh and usually he is very good out of the traps :ok

Re: International Friendlies > Weekend > Thursday 27th May - Sunday 30th May
good stuff matey, was slightly worried when the england game was going as it was but hopefully it will all be good in the end :hopeGot the same treble myself :ok Watching the game and Chile are 1 up and look like they are going to score many more while NI aren't really threatening at all. Looking good my friend :hope -
Re: International Friendlies > Weekend > Thursday 27th May - Sunday 30th May just need chile to come through now on my england, mexico and chile treble, any news coming up from there?
-
Re: Cricket: England vs Bangladesh - Test Series not put a bet on but still fancy england to do the job, one wicket will spark a collapse i reckon
-
Re: International Friendlies > Weekend > Thursday 27th May - Sunday 30th May still trying to see what game to plump for tomorrow in terms of both to score as i feel thats where the money lies in the friendlies. perhaps ivory coast paraguay
-
Re: Tennis - French Open ahhh damn henin had her to win in straight sets :cry

Re: Tennis - French Open is there any general tips for tomorrow then at good odds? if not i reckon i will just plumb for ivanovic to be a good girl and lose ;)
