    SportTennis
    EventLuis Horna vs Igor Andreev
    SelectionIgor Andreev
    Strength10/10
    Date02/02/2007
    Bookmaker/PriceBetfair @ 2.16 (Back)
ReasoningHorna has lost 7 of his last 10 matches and his last 10 matches on clay read just 4 victories. Igor has won his last 7 on clay however and has been playing well. He hasn't had much action in the past 12 months hence his ranking of 166 but he is an upcoming player and for a man on fire, I think he represents terrific value at 2.16 to win this match. It was just last week he beat the 53rd seed Ruben Ramirez Hidalgo in straight sets and I think he can see off Horna here who appears to be slightly out of form.
  2. Re: Snooker: Malta Cup I also agree with this Kev.

ReasoningDott is the reigning world champion but he does still appear to be pretty underrated. Murphy has been out of sorts for a while and yet is favourite to win this match which I find strange. Dott made the final of this tourney 2 years ago and he has improved alot since then. Take into account his wife has been given the all clear of late, which is great news, the motivation should be back and he looks great value at EVS.

ReasoningMark King played really well when beating Barry Hawkins 5-1 in the opener and I backed him then and am siding with him again here. I have always said he is an underrated player and he is outstanding value at 8/11 to beat Michael Holt. Yes, Holt did beat Ronnie in the opener but both players were a shambles and Michael will need to step up big time if he is to trouble King here. a 5-3 win for King looks about right.

    EventMaguire vs Ebdon
    SelectionOver 7.5 Frames

ReasoningPeter Ebdon has been in fine form all season so far but he nearly was the victim of a shock in the opener in the Malta Cup when coming back from 4-1 down to beat qualifier David Roe 5-4. Maguire has been in and out but has hinted at a return to form and he beat Ding Junhui 5-2 in the opening round but was still not overly impressive. This will be a scrappy match in my view and 8/11 for 5-3 or 5-4 either way is outstanding value.
  4. Re: Snooker: Malta Cup Superdaz, Holt and King match starts at 7.00pm. Icky, You will find that is what O'Sullivan is like. The winner of this tourny gets 18k and that is nothing to any of the top pro's. However some of them, like Hendry and Doherty play for the trophy and their rankings whereas O'Sullivan just doesn't take interest in these lower ranked tourneys. He is a disgrace the way he behaves sometimes in my opinion but the world snooker association seem scared to take any action on him for his behaviour at certain tourneys. And thanks Kev, yesterday was a good day, pity Fu didnt get 1 other frame in against Carter for the clean sweep. :)

  5. Re: Wednesday Lay Of The Day 2.10 Leicester - Back For The Craic - Lay 11/8 Flattered last few times when running behind decent novices but running on empty and had no chance of winning. This is a more realistic chance of him opening his account but Iris De Balme appeals much more to me.

    EventHawkins vs King
    SelectionKing
    Strength10/10
    Date31/01/2007
    Bookmaker/PricePaddy Power @ 2.00 (Back)
ReasoningIn my opinion Mark King seems to be a very underrated player. His all round game is not the best but he can pot balls and he seems overpriced at EVS here against Barry Hawkins. I don't think there will be much between them on the day but King at EVS is too big in my eyes and we'll side with him to win.
    SportSnooker/Pool
    EventMurphy vs Lee
    SelectionOver 7.5 Frames
    Strength10/10
    Date31/01/2007
    Bookmaker/PricePaddy Power @ 1.72 (Back)
ReasoningMurphy just squeezed past Ricky Walden 5-4 in the opening round while Lee beat Michael Judge 5-2. Both seem to be playing pretty much the same and considering both were beaten by Ding at the Masters 6-3 and 6-2 this could be a tight encounter. 5-3 to Lee is my prediction but I'll side with the over 7.5 frames bet yet again.
    SportSnooker/Pool
    EventFu vs Carter
    SelectionOver 7.5 Frames
    Strength10/10
    Date31/01/2007
    Bookmaker/PricePaddy Power @ 1.72 (Back)
ReasoningMarco Fu caused an upset in the first round when beating John Higgins 5-3 and he is a player that is not to be underestimated. Ali Carter is a solid player and won 5-2 in his opener. Everything points to this being a fairly tight match with plenty of tactical play involved and im surprised 8/11 is available for over 7.5 frames.
    SportSnooker/Pool
    EventStevens vs Day
    SelectionOver 7.5 Frames
    Strength10/10
    Date31/01/2007
    Bookmaker/PricePaddy Power @ 1.72 (Back)
ReasoningMatthew Stevens seems to be hitting some sort of form and he could be on his way to back to his best. Ryan Day however is no walkover and I expect this to be a very close match. Both players have been playing decent stuff and for either to win 5-3 or 5-4 seems appealing so the over 7.5 frames at 8/11 looks a nice bet with paddy power.
  7. Re: Countdown to Cheltenham - Bets & Banter

Carberry is the master at bridle horses :ok
:loon You have a short memory bowles. 2005 Champion Hurdle ring any bells? Ill give you a bigger clue HARCHIBALD! :rollin :rollin :rollin (nah, seriously he didn't do anything wrong, just the horse didn't get up the hill like ole Hardy Eustace!... Carberry did look silly that day but every real racing fan knows he was not to blame.)

9 teams played on Tuesday night, ZERO lost and we had 6 winners but we have to wait til tomorrow to find out if we have a winning bet! Bit annoyed about Swindon drawing 1-1 as other two won but thats just footy and we shall move on. Im confident Bolton can beat Charlton and land us a nice little midweek earner. Lets hope so! :hope
