  1. Re: Darts: Grand Slam of Darts 2011 The line with Willhill would now seem to be over 8.5 180's @ 5/6 which I have lumped on. Seems 1 less than most lines but you'd expect some good lines and value markets from the tourney sponsor! Not sure about the 'charity' line at 6.5 though! Interesting to see if they void that!

  2. Re: Darts: Grand Slam of Darts 2011

Hi mate. Where are you finding the outrights on Skybet for this event. I can't see it anywhere. Thanks
Had the same problem mate, Skybet pulled the outright odds as soon as Barney/Winstanley started, Got on with Boyles @ 66's , not sure if that's still available now though?

Dean Winstanley to win group 2 7/2 boylesport bet365 stanjames BDO world finalist Winstanley is a solid player and looks the value bet at 7/2. Barneveld is obviously the quality player in the group but sadly he isn't the player he was and sometimes it appears that he no longer has the determination needed to win. Winstanley showed the world championship final was no fluke when he reached the final of the world master where he lost to Waites. I cant see white figuring much and Hankey's best days are behind him although he is still capable on his day.
    Top Shout Tadley :clap
  4. Re: Darts: Grand Slam of Darts 2011

Chisnall v Pipe; Pipe to win 6/5 skybet If Pipe wins this match he will almost certainly be in the next round. He performed well on Saturday night against Jenkins and was unlucky not to beat Wade the following night. In past tournamnets in front of the tv cameras he has really struggled but he appears to have turned the corner, bringing his impressive form on the floor to the big stage. In Chisnall we have a Gary Anderson type player, tremendous at scoring but can be poor on the doubles. With very little hope for him progressing i don't really see him putting up much of a fight tonight. Pipe's slow style won't suit Chisnall's game and i would imagine this will put him off his stride allowing Pipe to take the victory.
Having followed Chisnall outright, I think I worked out he needs something like a 5-2 win and hope Wade wins 5-2 against Jenkins to progress, so although out of his hands, I think his chances are better than 'very little hope'!!
  5. Re: Snooker: PTC Events Great shout on Gould mate, but can't help thinking it was very unlucky again! Higgins fell at the final hurdle to Trump who also beat Gould and won the event the week after you had money on him when he came 2nd! That mega week is touching distance!

  6. Re: Golf: PGA Tour 2011 - Australian Open

Went for Andre Stolz e/w.... Gonna have to back an Australian in the Australian Open and these home-soil competitions where a lot of the locals play can usually turn up a surprise. This lad is from Brisbane and plays on the OneAsia Tour, but on this course he should feel right at home and the Aussies should have an advantage over the rest of the field here. He has had 9 professional wins and he did win a PGA event, winning the Indonesian PGA Championship this year and he also won the Thailand Open this year so the man is playing very good golf this year. He will feel right at home here and will have the support of the crowd so at the price he is worth a go. 5 Points E/W @ 70/1 Totesport - 1/4 odds 5 places
Beat me to it! Just echoing/endorsing Aidy's tip. I was going to post the same myself, needn't bother now! Willhill go 50/1 and Bet365 55/1 so a bit of value at 70/1 (with coral also).
  7. Re: Snooker: World Seniors Championship

Just to clarify, a 30 second shot clock comes into play after 10 minutes of a frame so we should get one shot out of Cliff Thorburn before that happens :lol. Also just to mention the draw is a random draw after the last 16. 2 outrights for me. I'm very wary of John Parrott as well but I'm only going to take two. If Parrott drifts to double figures at any time I might take him too. 2pts ew S.Davis to win World Seniors 11/2 Boylesports (1/2 1,2) When all of these players were at their pomp Steve Davis was by far and away the best of them and I think he'll be itching to win this tournament with the throwback to the 80s nature of it in terms of the competitors. Last year this event was a bit of fun but with live coverage and a decent winners cheque this will be a lot more serious and serious snooker is what the Nugget does best. Even now Steve Davis is still a tough guy to beat on the main tour and it was just a month or so ago that Davis made the semi final of a PTC event. I've seen a few of his matches this season and he looks to be cueing the ball lovely and he's scoring really well which will help him in this tournament. In Tony Drago he's got a tricky first round draw but should he come through a major danger in that game then the tournament could open up a bit with the best of three frame format. Davis has previous with the shot clock which is a bonus he has over every other player in the event bar Bond, Drago and White and given that his form in recent weeks has been pretty good I really think just like he was in the 80's, he's very much the one to beat this weekend. 0.5pts ew D.Morgan to win World Seniors 10/1 Ladbrokes (1/2 1,2) Darren Morgan could be one of the forgotten men in this tournament. He never dropped a frame in qualifying and I believe he's never stopped playing the game casually and since this event came about he's got back into the hang of practicing and playing and I think I remember him saying during the Welsh Open that he was thinking of giving the tour another go at Q school. It was only just over a year ago that he made the last 64 of the World Open as an amateur where Matthew Stevens needed a deciding fifth frame to beat him. Darren Morgan scored a total of 111 centuries in his career which clearly shows he knows how to play the game because there aren't many in the 100 centuries club even with the way the players score these days. I would expect Morgan to beat Gary Wilkinson in the opening round and if one of the old school set of players or players who aren't on the main tour are to win this then I think Morgan has as good a chance as any of them. I'll have a small saver on the 1996 Irish Masters champion here just in case he plays to the potential he undoubtedly has.
What is it Hannibal would be saying right now?? :notworthy:notworthy:notworthy Didn't follow Morgan but got on Davis, so Hoping he can do the job in the final!! Cracking Tipping Kev :clap
