Two great calls there Russ! Stand out on the handicap with most thinking it would be close. Can anyone enlighten me why this was a grudge match? Have they had handbags at dawn previously or something? Mainly watching the darts so only caught a few frames but various quotes about Maguire being well up for it and a bit of needle etc on twitter?I'm jumping on the Mags bandwagon too. S.Maguire to beat S.Murphy, 5pts @ Evs Boylesports S.Maguire (-2.5 frames) to beat S.Murphy, 3pts @ 9/4 BlueSq I really fancy Maguire to reach the final here and, in this grudge match, I'm hoping he can dispose of Shaun Murphy. There's history between the 2 and I think this is the type of match the gritty Scot will relish. His form this week just adds weight to his claim, especially with crushing victories over both Day & Higgins and a huge confidence booster over Judd last night. He's scoring well too and seems to be more the player he was a few seasons ago. Ok, Murphy did beat both Walden & Selby but he hasn't exactly played vintage stuff and I think that the grudge may just play on his mind a little bit tonight. Everyone suggests it will be close but I just have this sneaky feeling that Mags will come out the blocks fast and won't relent. This, to me, is his final and I believe he wants it more. At a shade over 2/1, the odds to beat Murphy 6-3 or better is too big for me to ignore. -

Re: Bookmaker Specials Feedback? 99% of the time I'm on the site, I'm on my phone and have to admit to just going straight to what I'm looking for, save faffing about, takes me long enough as it is! I hadn't even noticed that section! Now its been pointed out, I think its a convenient way to seeing all available offers without trawling through every bookies site, in a similar way to price comparison sites save you checking odds on every site.... I'm not one for offers much, Odds, Places paid then offers, in that order for me... but as far as the bookmaker specials section goes... Good idea!

Lovely bit of profit and a fantastic start to the season. ....but not be outdone:lol:lol Wiesberger, an easy winner of this market by 4 shots, at a tasty 14/1, bringing in returns of 48.75pts:ok That puts me +31.25pts after the first 2 events. Hit the crossbar a little bit though this weekend with me backing Branden Grace in the wrong week and both Wiesberger & Kruger missing out on a place payout by just 1 shot:wall. Still can't be too disappointed and plenty to build on. -

Re: Darts: BDO World Championship 2012 Last word from me otherwise we start clogging a brilliant thread but your argument is based him switching treble and hitting it... I would argue when you've hit 2 treble 20's with an open bed and a 'marker' your chances of hitting that treble are far greater than any other or bull. Your opponent is under pressure knowing your on a one dart finish regardless of what double your on! Lots of things go through your mind on a stage but not weighing up how good certain players are at certain doubles!

Re: Darts: BDO World Championship 2012 Not the place for an argument but every dart player is different... And because they choose to go a different route doesn't make them unprofessional! Ted can be, but hitting a 180 from 210 in my opinion isn't. For a few reasons, a 180 can rattle the opponent by the crowds reaction, he was obviously honed in on the lipstick so the third treble insured him 3 darts at A double, there was no guarentee he would've hit an alternative treble or the bull and in fact a 25 would've meant at least 1 less dart at a double and finally for someone who was hitting D10 so well why not leave the double next to it? I would argue it is playing the percentages which is exactly what all commentators tell players to do! Going T16 when on 80 is a different matter altogether, but as a dart player who was once ranked in the top 150 (many years ago!) I can't agree with that specific criticism Fishy! Otherwise, I agree with pretty much everything else you've written in this thread!

Keep it up though guys and here's hoping for a profitable weekend! Think I might follow Russ with Kist maximums, just hoping Hankeys antics don't disrupt his rhythm.
