  1. Re: AINTREE GRAND NATIONAL > 4:15pm Saturday April 5th Wouldn't recommend backing Balthahzar king anti post as he may not run if ground too testing. don't live too far from Aintree and weather has not been too bad, few days of drizzle. Few more days of drizzle forecast this week and dry next week, think they will water around Tuesday if ground dry's out for good to soft ground, we shall see, If ground is allowed to start good, i will have a decent EW bet on Balthazars King, my even back it NR no bet depending Aintree tell us if they plan to water.

  2. Re: Up,Down,Level Bit of drizzle forecast towards the end of next week, be surprised if Aintree dont water though if it remains dry, so much controversy over horses dying IMO they wont allow the ground to be as fast as Cheltenham was. be interesting to see how the Cheltenham horses run.

  3. Re: Up,Down,Level Did nothing today, only a few small interest bets taking advantage of the offers, lucky Ruby held on for top jockey to at least get something back. decent EW best on Conti was a bit of a bummer. Cant take that much out of this years festival except, AP should run well in champion hurdle. there were a few impressive winners but it would be dangerous to have them as anti post bankers for next year.

  4. Re: Up,Down,Level Only one decent bet, Anti post on Sire de grugy, so a good day. thought it was a great bet at 3/1 when SS looked like coming out, couldn't believe the 7/2 on offer today. very confident ride and tremendous reception by the jockeys in the winners circle.

  5. Re: Wednesday 1:30 > Neptune Investment Hurdle Took advantage of the loser free bet on Red Sherlock. no excuses best horse won very easy. what a jockey Ruby is though, absolutely ruthless again, kicked on going round the final bend instead of when they all straighten up and left them for dead, seen it so many times best horse run out of it on the run in when they could have been clear, doesn't happen with Ruby.

  6. Re: Up,Down,Level Broke a couple of pound up, well down really but free £10 bet i intended to bet on the Superbowl. so way i look at it i won, lol Don't think i will ever back Hurricane fly again, so get on for next year. always wins when i dont back him and looses when i get on, reminds me of Red Rum, every time i backed that bugger he either came 2nd or was withdrawn as well. :)

  7. Re: cheltenham chat thread 2014 Unless they water to deaden the ground i can see many horses not even getting into the race. all part of racing really, looked like there was something up with Irving but seems he ran on well in the closing stages so obviously outpaced on the faster ground, thought Dodging Bullets ran a great race personally. bit deliberate at the fences but no mistakes. backed it my self.

  8. Re: Best capper to tail for Cheltenham? Why should the bookies offer you the same incentives to place a bet at your local bookies as you would get online. You get evens for a 2/9 shot, yes you may well go right out of your way to put the bet on in a bookies you very rarely use, it may even win, your quids in, point is do you travel a few miles back again just to place your bets with that same bookies in the future. why would you unless your getting something far more than you would at your local bookie. All that's happened is that bookies has been hammered for one day without any extra future trade. You open an account online and you will place a bet again with them. it's not about effort now, it's a matter of just clicking a button. If people don't want to gamble online, no problem you may have good reasons but without doubt you are winning far less money over the year than you would backing online.

  9. Re: Best capper to tail for Cheltenham?

Cant pick horses to save my life' date=' so which cappers do well at Cheltenham? and is it easier to make money at big races like Cheltenham and Aintree etc than just standard races that go on every day like at Kempton, Southwell, Newcastle etc.[/quote'] No, it easier to make money at Cheltenham and Aintree, especially Cheltenham. The reason why it's easier is bookies will be offering all sort of incredible offers next week to get new customers and to get the news coverage. Last year we had evens for SS ,they only let me have £25 but i cant blame them it was just about being in the news, think the SP was 2/9? more of a walk over than a race. Corals ran a loser free bet everday, 2 of those bets won for me. one of my free bets was anti post winner at 3/1 so i was quids in there as well. Just look round and see what's in the news and take advantage of some fantastic offers only available when the Cheltenham festival is on.
  10. Re: Friday 3:20 > Cheltenham Gold Cup

Gold Cup this year is one horse race Bobs Worth sticks out like a sore thumb and at 7/4 I would get on soon. He will be nearer evs on the day. The Giant Bolster has great e/w claims at around 16/1 and I would put him in for the forecast. Captain Chris can't go left handed' date=' Al Ferof won't run and Silivinacio Conti won't beta Bobs Worth up the Cheltenham hill.[/quote']Bobs Worth must have a great chance, no argument.not so sure he will shorten in price. going wont be anywhere near as bad as in the past. all opinion but will he be able to claw them back up the hill this year with the faster going. maybe he will but that question alone makes me think he wont start a red hot favourite, got to be honest I wouldn't put money on it though. Backed Conti last year EW myself and very happy with 10/1.
  11. Re: Superbowl XLVIII I love to go through the stats and the match ups to work out how the game will go and pick my bets out. sometimes other things play a big part in how well teams play. there is no doubt Seattle thrive on the challenge and the big game. the crucial plays when it's on the line, Denver were not up for it last night. it was men versus boys. There is no way Seattle should have dominated the game so easy last night, I don't think it was unfortunate or bad luck, It's easy to think Seattle will dominate the game for a few seasons after last nights win. i don't think they are that superior but fact is they get it done when it matters. that's what make champions.

  12. Re: Superbowl XLVIII

It's a great price due to the fact the bookies have factored in the wind as well as the Seattle secondary, Manning could well struggle tonight due not quite having the arm strength to contend with the strong winds that are forecast. I'm hoping he struggles as I'm on Seattle :D
Well considering his stats the last 2 seasons he hasn't done too bad:D IMO. whatever the wind Denver have no choice, throwing the ball is the only game they play. i know it's forecast to be dry but heard no news of wind. hope your wrong:D
  13. Re: Superbowl XLVIII

Demaryius Thomas MVP @ 44 Betfair Simply cannot believe these odds. I think everyone is assuming Sherman will be on him but Sherman doesn't really play as a proper cover corner. He normally sticks to one side of the field and given Thomas normally lines up in all different positions I think he'll see plenty of action against the Hawks' other corners. Furthermore, with all the attention on Sherman, if Thomas were to pull off a critical reception against Sherman I think it's going to bode well for his chances as it's going to stand out as a bigger achievement. On Thomas himself, he is easily the best of Denver's receivers and has great run after the catch ability which I think could further his chances here. We saw him do it against Pittsburgh in the play-offs 2 years ago and he did a number on the Pats in the Championship game as well. He's got touchdown grabs in 4 of his 5 playoff appearances and great separation skills to boot, and quite frankly, I can't ignore him at these odds. Denver are the favourites and whilst Peyton is the obvious MVP candidate, I still can't believe that a man who has consecutive 1400 yard seasons with 14 touchdown grabs can be so long.
Yes, it is a great value bet. the one thing i will be looking out for early on is how the Denver receivers cope with the hits. how nervous will they be when the defenders come running in just when they are about to catch the ball. Seattle have only played 2 decent passing teams all season, Atlanta and NO, I remember the NO Seattle game well, Jimmy Graham had a nightmare, couldn't catch a ball. receivers not holding onto the ball after the catch. the write up don't tell the true story, Seattle left receivers open but the Saints were scared stiff of the hits, that lost them the game. So i will be watching for this early on in tonight game. if the Denver receivers can catch and hold onto the ball then i think they should win,. if Seattle have the receivers a bag of nerves then Seattle win. Applies to your bet, Manning has many receivers to throw to. it is vital that they are prepared to take a hammering and keep possession. as Thomas is the top receiver there is a good chance he may shine even more tonight. Manning should have plenty of time to find him as Seattle rarely blitz as you know, I can see Thomas taking some awful hits in the middle of the field, if he can catch the ball without worrying and hold onto it, he deserves MVP as it's vital if Denver stand any chance tonight. GL
  14. Re: NFL week two picks New Orleans -3 10/11 Skybet, cant see this spread lasting long though. Saints had a bad season by their standards last year, yet managed to beat the bucks in the 2 games they met, 2nd game 41-0 with an awful defence. new defensive co ordinator looks to have made a big difference ,they should be a far better team this year in every way. looks a great bet even this early in the season.

  15. Re: NFL Week One Picks

You will be looking for the arena league thread then lol Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk 2
Ohh bugger, done me money, just thought he stood a better chance of winning it this year with not actually playing.lol

omg, i know the feeling, sorry about being a bit paranoid m8, that was out of order, you carry on posting your selections that's the beauty about the NFL we all see it differently and analysing games to pick a selection is a big part of the pleasure.nobody has to justify anything. i get it wrong enough to know that, anyway my tip for the season Tim Tebow for MVP :D
