  1. Re: EPL 1-0 Home Wins Hi, David, and GL with this. You have been a busy boy (!), good to see a punter doing his homework, especially in the Christmas Holidays....:loon A thought that occurred to me......assuming a current 1-0 match % of 15.25 so far this 2005-6 season, have you checked to see if a similar 'blip' has happened in a previous season at the beginning, or indeed, in any 16 to 20 week time span during a season? I ask this, as looking back on the seasonal averages, they range from 9.2% to 12.8%, and as these sort of figures generally stay within a 'normal' distribution, within a standard deviation, you may be basing your theory on 'dangerous' data. In other words, might not the future 1-0 results 'compensate' for the 15.25% of results, so far, and become less frequent? Perhaps 'compensate' is the wrong word to use, but in other stats, such as total goals, any 'wandering' away from the average will normally drift back to the norm, and sometimes revert to a below average event occurrence. Just a thought...and something to be wary of, methinks. Anyways, good luck!! :ok :hope

  2. Re: Spreadman's Total Goal Minutes Sell System trades for today - first post! Hi, TZOGAS, and:welcome to the PL and this thread. I am trading in Total goal minutes....if you are not familiar with spread betting, then log on to the www.sportingindex.com home page, and click the 'how to spread bet' header in the middle of the page, at the top. Read all about spread betting, and it will explain the concept of the total goal minutes trade bet, better than I can. I do trade my own bets in running, but sometimes it is difficult to post here, when I trade out. If you are serious about trading, try it 'on paper' first, it can be exciting yet frightening at the same time...not for the faint hearted, or if you have a medical heart condition.....oops, that's me out, then....:lol Good luck, TZOGAS...:ok :hope

  3. Re: IKTS Wk 18 Hmmmm.....just noticed....auto pilot gave +9 points this week, just for pressing the auto button...... I get +6, after days of wading through stats., league tables, sports reports, team news and Jack and Jill learn to read books.....:\ A bad end to a bad week....month......year......lifetime!!!! :cry :loon

  4. Re: Spreadman's Double sell System - Today's tips System Match No. 93, Charlton v Arsenal, Sky Sports 1pm, Monday, 26th December. No trades recommended on this match today...Van Persie is not playing...but Mr. Henry is. Oh, yes, and Charlton are fielding an 'experimental' team with no less than 6 changes :eek However, for the sake of the record and strategy continuity, here are the 'paper trades'...minimum stakes. Sell total goals at 2.6 for £2 per goal. Sell total shirt numbers at 36 for 0.50p per point. Some stats.: Charlton have lost 6 of last 7 matches, and conceded 3 goals in 5 of their last 7 games. But they have scored 6 goals in last 3 home games. Arsenal are not scoring as well as previously, but Henry is overdue a goal or two. Total goal averages H/A, f,a.: 1.1,1.9/0.8,1.4. Total corners 4.0,4.1/4.1,4.8. Previous fixture : 1-3, books = 20, corners = 3. Ref : S. Bennett, (2nd strictest), 48 average, CH. = 13, Arsen. = 21. Possible high bookings if it 'kicks off'. :lol A total corners sell may profit at 1.91, Stan James, with a saver on exactly 11, at 8.5, SJ. Next traded match is today at 3pm, Liverpool v Newcastle, spreads and trades posted here later. GL. :ok :hope

  5. Re: From €52.98 to €1million, a 19,000-1 shot :welcome GiantCranes2, a quiet time of year to begin your quest. Good Luck, with your bet for tomorrow....big outlay for small rewards, but profit is profit. Snow is due Tuesday onwards in certain parts of UK, but not forecast for Christmas Day. Foolsgold's suggestion is worth considering....or putting in a daily link here to the tip on your blog. GL. :ok :hope

  6. Re: Spreadman's Double sell System - Today's tips Obviously no trades today, or tomorrow, so have a good Christmas, and come back refreshed (?) and ready to win.... Thank you to everyone who has visited this thread and my other STGMSS thread, during it's relatively short existence. I really appreciate your support and words of encouragement....it would be unfair to name you individually, but you know who you are. Thank you. I would like also to thank the 'unnamed' - those who ' lurk' on this thread, and indeed, any of the other many and excellent threads and forums in the PL. Why not make a New Year's resolution to actually introduce yourselves?....it's a completely painless experience, and we don't bite..... Well I might, but I'm taking medication...:rollin There's a 'new to the PL' thread just waiting for your first post. Well, that's it for now, I'd like to personally wish everyone a very good, happy, but most importantly, healthy Christmas, and a profitable New Year. :ok Next traded match is on Boxing Day, Lunchtime, spreads and trades posted here, before noon, Father Christmas permitting. Three big matches to trade on and hopefully make a small dent in that overdraft we have just ran up. Back soon, Ian / Spreadman. :cheers

  7. Re: Danny Cash 'One Goal Will Do' system Danny, if I have time over Xmas, I'll do a level stake calculation for your 0-0 system, and also review my records of televised matches, as far as, 0-0 results sequences and their frequency is concerned. On the face of it, the 0-0 result average appears to be lower than expected, so shows good profit potential. I have details of all goal times etc., of over 300 matches, and, using the average expected back and lay prices for a match in its 80th minute, should be able to calculate the viability of trading out at this stage of the match, or if goalless, letting the bet run. Your 'small batches' strategy sounds mighty sensible to me, damage limitation, etc. I'll also try and take a look into a suitable staking plan to capitalise on 'long' winning runs and infrequent losing matches. It is possible, in certain match conditions, and with suitable market fluidity, to trade in and out, building up a profit, in running throughout the game. Whilst the sell market for spread betting recently has been less profitable due to a higher than average goals scored tally, the beauty of the 0-0 lay system is that you win if 1 or more goals are scored, the actual total, be it high or low, is irrelevant, as is the winner and loser of the match. Will get back soon.....:ok

  8. Re: Exchanges - Betting In Play :welcome skin8. I have to admit that there isn't too much on the PL at the moment about specific Betfair trading on the in play 0-0 lay. I have made a couple of posts in various threads ....and you can make a profit from the 0-0 lay...and also a loss, like any form of betting strategy. For example, yesterday I backed the draw in the Doncaster v Arsenal match, which is, obviously different from the 0-0 lay, but works on the same principal of market price movement, in running. Expecting a surprise result, I backed the draw, pre match, at 4.5, and as soon as the Doncaster goal was scored in the 4th minute, the lay price for the draw dropped to 3.45, as punters expected the draw result more likely than the expected Arsenal win. I layed my original bet, all of the 3 possible results 'greened up', guaranteeing me a profit of £5 for a Donc. win, or £5 for an Arsen. win, or £8.80 for the draw. A working illustration of the 0-0 lay is Danny Cash's excellent 'one goal will do' thread in the systems and strategy forum, which I strongly suggest you take a look at. It's really up to you to visit other websites, including inside edge, who have covered this subject at www.inside-edge-mag.co.uk Try other betting exchanges such as Betdaq and Betfair, they have info pages. You can make a decent profit from this bet, but you have to know your football, teams, stats, sequences, etc. Why not do a trial 'paper' run first of all, noting the way the market prices respond to changes in play, during a live televised match. GL. :ok

  9. Re: Spreadman's Double sell System - Today's tips System match No. 92, Doncaster v Arsenal, Sky Sports 1, 7.45pm, Wednesday December 21st. Sell total goals at 2.7 for £3 per goal Sell total shirt numbers at 61 for £1 per point. I would not personally recommend a trade in this match, at least, not a sell in goals or shirts. This is strictly a system 'on paper' trade , for the continuity of my records. Shirts are marked high, so we may make a small profit here, with our minimum stakes. I may close the trades at half time if still goalless. The ref. is P. Dowd, average, 46, Donc. is 18, Arse. is 21. Van Persie is playing, always worth a booking, so a small buy at around 30-34 may profit. GL. :ok :hope

  10. Re: Philossify launches a Full Time Poker career Good luck, Mr. P......I know nothing about STT's MTT's, 'dollar ups', and 'poker' is something I use to stoke the fire. HOWEVER, I do know about earning a living from a skill revolving around 'gambling'. It sounds as if you don't have too many financial and non financial commitments, which is a good start, and with a little money to 'cushion' any , hopefully brief, hiccups, as surely there will be, you should manage. I use the word 'manage' specifically, as I think, for a start at least, that is all you can hope for, or, at least, expect. Sure, set your targets high, but be true to yourself by being realistic, by setting achievable goals. Good luck, again, keep in touch with us, we are all keen that you should succeed, I for one could never do what you are doing..... Sh*t......I am.........:unsure

  11. Re: Spreadman's Total Goal Minutes Sell System trades for today - first post! (Previous match, QPR v Coventry was STGMSS Match No.61, and not 60, as indicated in the previous post). STGMSS Match No. 62, Birmingham v Man. Utd., Sky Sports 1, 7.45pm, Tuesday 20th December. Sell total goal minutes at 125 Strategy and match stake per minute : 1 = £1 2 = £2 3 = £2 4 = £1 5 = £2 GL. :ok :hope

  12. Re: Spreadman's Double sell System - Today's tips System Match No. 90, Birmingham v Man. Utd., Sky Sports 1, 7.45pm, Tuesday 19th December. Sell total goals at 2.5 for £2 per goal Sell total shirt numbers at 44 for 50p per point Minuscule stakes tonight.....Man. Utd probably fielding a 'youth' team, and no doubt a few high shirt numbers will be scuttling around the pitch, (Rossi, etc.). One to watch before trading or not. In running bets on the exchanges may profit, as punters struggle to make sense of the team line ups, and get the odds wrong. GL :ok :hope
