  1. Re: England > Weekend > Premier League > 20-22 August

    Swansea v Wigan Swansea 22.2% (4.50) Draw 27.8 % (3.60) Wigan 50% (2.00) (22.2 + 50 ) / 22.2 = 3.25 Swansea DNB (22.2 + 50 ) / 50 = 1.44 Wigan DNB Actual odds Swansea 2.10 (expected 4.50) no value Draw 3.25 (expected 3.60) no value Wigan 3.60 ( expected 2.00) value Swansea Dnb 1.50 (expected 3.25) Wigan Dnb 2.50 ( expected 1.44) Wigan dnb £10 * 2.50 * 50 = £1250 £10 * 22.2 = £222 draw stake return = £278 (1250 + 278) - 222 / 100 = 13.06% profit wigan outright £10 * 3.6 * 50 = £1800 £10 * 50 = £500 (£1800 - £500) / 100 = 13% Just for balance, even with alot of confidence in Wigan over the long term if my predictions are correct i'll make 13%. I target 20-25% overall over a season, so i need to out perform my prediction by an additional 7-12%! Even on a bet i'm confident in backing. EDIT: These are based on singles analysis. Doubles/Treble system hopefully achieves the % target i'm looking for by combining 'personal strong' bets with each other.
This just baffles my poor brain! I don't know if everyone can understand these but wow u guys work on different schemes to me! Maybe we all do this to an extent in our heads but my god if I did this for all of my bets I'd be Einstein at maths! Anyone who says arsenal aren't shaky at the mo is either lying, bullshitting or their surname is wenger. Definitely best bet seems Liverpool to score at least one goal. As I've said for years wenger can't buy instant team changers so this year can be forgotten about. Why the hell would he loan vela out again when he's a better finisher than chamakh and gervinho il never know. I feel for vela never given long chance yet he persists with diaby n squillachi n the keepers who are nothing short of crap. Arshavin is getting on now too, rvp always injured for 10 games. Dire situation. Arsenal to be relegated 10,000/1 it's looking strong!
  2. Re: Champions League 11/12 Outright Agree with the man city definitely! Me n bro did them at 22 also betfair They should get through the group ok then it's a bit of luck who they get obviously but they are so stewing defensively and no aguero looks the final jigsaw puzzle with the flair that tevez was missing. Kun and silva are dream champions league players :))

  3. Re: England: Championship Aug 5-7 On a few scorers as it's well hard to work out who is going to be settled and who will take take time to get used to the madness that is the championship! Nolan has to be backed at any price to get hammers started off well. He knows this league and hopefully he's near the top scorers throughout ;) Also on Murray to score for palace first game. My dad says this guy is a class operator and what we've been missing since Craig Beattie was ere firing em in! :p peterboro hopefully will take time to get used to this league n without mikado-smith. Also going to look at chopra to open is Ipswich account. B city not the best in defence and my mate plays centre back for them n even I scored a hat trick v him once! I was 15 tho! Betfair pretty lame putting up scorer markets but I think these are worthy of a punt seen as alot of defences could be bit shaky at the start of season

  4. Re: Tennis - 25-31 July Few in women today Jovanovski to beat rampre 2-0 at 1.75 betfair Youngster jova on the rise in tennis and rampre is like 31 yes old not alot of wins in career and always seems to fall to opponents in the 200 world ranking positions in tournaments this year. Little bit hoping jova is on song but she is defo the better player in my eyes Also Ivanovic to beat Morita 2-0 at 1.66 again betfair Again ana is clearly the better player and could tear merit apart 6-0, 6-0 with ease. She has the power and serve to do this I feel so odds are appealing Also muller to beat Johnson and juan Carlos ferrero to beat Gonzalez and Lopez to beat lammer all 2-0 works out to nearly 3/1 so happy with that. All are better players with more experience and will want to go far in respective tournaments. Hopefully!

  5. Re: Tennis - 25-31 July no one else feeling gilles muller v young american steve johnson as an opportunity? first time ive ever heard of johnson and obviously muller is a monster on serve so im pretty happy to take the 2-0 score line at 1.46. bit of a punt having not seen johnson play but his stats are minimal and one game one los on atp circuit. hopefully muller will be good on serve and happy days agree with the olivier rochus call too. sergey is a strange one but definately one to oppose at the moment.

  6. Re: Tennis - 18-24 July

I'm staying away from Hamburg this week unless something really good comes up (like Simon v Stakhovsky (disgusted that missed it). This tournament is being sponsored by bet-at-home which is all you really need to know. Lots of strange matches being played and not only this year but it was the case last year as well. The best option is to stay away or bet on underdogs. This event is on my blacklist alongside Zagreb indoors which is played in February. Haase proved the point the other day. If you're staying away' date=' then do so.[/quote'] Cheersr that info mate. Haha didnt even notice the sponsor but thats classic. I'm not too Clued up season by season as I just do games as I see them but will bear that in mind. Luckily last three Germans pulled through so happy days at the mo. But I'm sure I've been stung few times with that begu woman n once years ago by davadenko which wasn't fun But thanks alot for advice
  7. Re: Tennis - 18-24 July Anyone else notice the Germans seem to be very strong on home soil? Or whatever surface they playing. Know beck n petchner lost but generally they do well last few times I've looked in. Few underdogs won and are winning at the mo. Going to join in on reister to see if it can carry on Kamke was massive odds to beat chela so hopefully pulls through aswell Reister at 17/10 will do me :)

  8. Re: Copa America > Semi-Finals > 20/21 July Agree totally with the above. Peru are more solid and dependable but no real classy players like Uruguay have. Surely forlan cavani or Suarez will step up and score at least one and uruguays defence is solid most of the time tho their suspension to the mad dog midfielder may mean few changes around I'm tempted to just go big on Uruguay to qualify as this tournament has done me few times with draws then selections winning on pens etc It's 1.45ish on betfair to qualify which I do like :)

  9. Re: Tennis - Wimbledon I really hope all this Murray shit talk is rammed back down peoples throats So annoying just let the kid play tennis. Its exactly why English people have no chance at most things. Look at the crap players that won slams before fed/nadal were about. He rips apart gasquet n all people do is wish him a loss. Well done!

  10. Re: Tennis - Wimbledon i must admit that guy who everyone hated did have some pretty good picks but as everyone says he just had something annoying about him! cant wait for this to all kick off had some good times at wimbledon over the years hopefully federer or murray will make it a happy one again :) did them outright before french open and got some nice prices.. federer at 4.5's murray at 8's surely both will get to semis at least then maybe lay depending on their form/opponents also did two in womens even though i dont think anyone knows what will happen in that sharapova at 6.5 azarenka at 18 again they should get reasonably far. and i can see maria having a very good run here as she does love the tournament and was playing pretty well so should be able to go far. need to look at the draw really see where the williams sisters might come into it as i still feel they have the 'balls' when it comes to big tournaments compared to say wozniacki and azarenka etc

  11. Re: Tennis - June 6-12 Did anyone else get on mahut today? He was like 2/1 on betfair and i didnt have time to do write up or reaearch it but that mannarino was average at best in queens so thought sod it il do mahut. He won quite nicely in end but wanted to know if betfair messed the prices up? Or if i missed a massive easy bet...?? Cheers

  12. Re: F1 2011 Season Thread (Inc. Outrights) haha thats amazing. i did vettel to be leading after the first corner then the odds went down and down so i got confused!.. but now the safety car is just driving them round!! has that happenend before? cos im guessing if its raining then the person in pole position will always be leading after the first lap??? i dont watch f1 that much. cheers

  13. Re: Does picking sensible favourites win long term?what do you think of my system.

Your doing exactly what im doing. Much like the so called dead cert gambler who had a terrific run backing favourites, only to loose 120k when federer beat djokovic in the french open. I started with £20 and won around £15. All was going well for me, till England drew which cost me £20. So overall I'm £5 down. In the future I'm not going to even consider backing England. :wall I have a plan for the first few rounds of Wimbledon whilst the odds for the top players are extremely short - Murry/Federer/Djokovic/Nadal accumulator just to get some value. In the later stages of the tournament when their odds start getting better I will play it safe with single bets. My plan for the next premier league season, other than backing the top teams in single win bets is to back draws on mid table teams who tend to be strong defensively but score few themselves (eg, Birmingham). Once half time is reached and its still 0-0, the odds for a draw shorten so I will lay off the draw at the start of the second half which essentially results in a free bet. Another example is if its 0-0 (or 1-0 to the favourite) at 35 minutes then I will back under 1.5 goals. Teams seem to prefer not to take risks in the last 10 minutes so they have something to play for in the second half. Once the second half kicks off and the odds on under 1.5 have changed, I then lay off under 1.5 goals for a quick profit. I have not tried either of these yet, last season I just bet a very small amount on silly 4 team accumulators like yourself and often would get nowhere. When its just a quid here and there it doesn't really matter if you loose it, but those quids soon mount up. So a feel a more reserved approach is called for next season.
i do what you are proposing quite often and it is a relatively easy way to win money but u definately have to do your research and stick to your stakes and obviously be very lucky. theres always a few teams who are more likely to be 0-0 such as england internationals at times or say birmingham who dont have good strikers. have to keep in mind theres also teams like man u who score often late on. also arsenal liked a late goal last year. most of it is down to luck though as the amount of times a penalty has been given or stupid own goals have happenend does get annoying! but when the big 0-0 at say 15/1 happens ul be laughing. also 2.5 goals seemed to be more profitable for me at obviously worse odds but 1.5 messed up a few times more compared to 2.5
  14. Re: backing nailed on favourites

I'd pay you a lot of money if you could get 4000 out of 5000 winners at 1.50:ok
haha i dunno about THAT many! but u should be able to get close in say tennis first round bets correct at about them odds. but theres always a few at higher odds that u feel should be lower to balance the success rate out..say murray yesterday or barca to win champs league i dont know if it shows im not a great bettor or finder of 'value' but i mostly win with odds on bets.. but then they the most bets i do mostly so guess that figures
  15. Re: Tennis - June 6-12

Lisicki played very well this tournament, showed a good constant and now looks to beat Peng. Peng looked bad in this tournament, had problems with Erakovici, with Watson and with Broady, winning in last 2 games at tie break. Lisicki won everything and grown from match to match. Lisicki vs Peng home @1.90 with Centrebet
nice one for that tip mate :) ended up very easy brilliant day in all and i cant wait for the final tomorrow it should be a bloody good game. but i can still see murray pulling through it as hes a bit too clever for power of tsonga. will defo be looking at murray 2-0 as i can see him kind of pissing tsonga off with the variation and spins he puts on the ball.
  16. Re: Tennis - June 6-12 If murray can whoop roddick like he is then its built my confidence in tsonga more Ward playing well indeed but querrey is average, marranino is average and wawrinka lost to dustin brown bit ago so i know he is capable of blowing himself up so ward has been reasonably lucky who hes played. Tsonga is a monster at times and i didnt see him v rafa so cant use that for reasoning but 6-4 and 6-2 after a 7-6 tells me hes serving well and must have kept rafa under fair bit of pressure. Tsonga -5.5 seems good value as ward could lose tight first set say 6-4 or 7-6 then lose confidence n blow up Heres hoping anyway Wow absolute master class from murray. So much variation its laughable i felt for roddick poor guy. Good luck guys

  17. Re: Tennis - June 6-12 agree with the above but also going to do dustin brown to beat mayer at 3.5 on betfair havent seen him play recently but i like him against most players outside top 10. always causes them problems and if he can time it right can and does win sets. massive serve and groundstrokes will be weapons on grass and im sure mayer was poor last time i saw him. think he was slow and had no power or variation to beat browns boomers. hopefully also troicki to beat zverev 2-0 is 1.9 on betfair troicki wasnt great versus murray but he is a better player than micha so should pull through. im sure ive seen troicki in later stages of wimbledon and im sure he is more a grass courter so will be better in this maybe semis. del potro beat istomin 2-0 at 1.6 on betfair juan has to do this after what i saw in french open. hes nearly back to his best and on grass his game will be better. big serves and forehands will be too much for istomin.

  18. Re: Why Bets Lose... simply wait to see whos going to be at the top of certain leagues after say 5/8 games the lay their opposition every week till u lose on the team then leave them for a week or maybe two before laying their opposition again. look at it in simple terms.. man u/chelsea win or draw most games qpr/norwich the same southampton/brighton the same aac milan barca real madrid the same snd so on and so on and so on
