  1. Re: 2011 Boxing Thread Prizefighter Only actually see Choi fight out of this line up and with his pedigree I would agree he has to be favourite. Disappointing in his last Prizefighter when he went out to Derry Matthews in the first stage who avenged a previous loss to Choi. That was a lot stronger line up than this though and Choi has to be respected against these novices. As said I havent seen the other guys fight so my selections are based on records and what I have read alone. The 2 that caught my eye are Ian Bailey and Lee Jennings. Lee Jennings won 5 (KO 2) + lost 2 (KO 1) + drawn 0 = 7 has a good amateur background with 80+ fights comes into the tournament on the back of his best win, a round 1 ko of a fighter who was unbeaten in 7. His losses came with a close decsion against the awkward Al Hamidi and another undefeated prospect who he had down in the 1st apparently. The 3 round format could suit as he is a busy boxer who should be used to the 3 round format. At 14/1 I see a touch of value. Ian Bailey won 7 (KO 0) + lost 7 (KO 2) + drawn 0 = 14 brings in the worst record on paper. Closer inspection shows he has been matched very tough in his short career. His losses have come to genuine British prospects (2 of the Walsh brothers, Ste Smith and his conquerer Lee Selby as well as Mcguigans hot prospect Frampton. Also the smart Kid Galahad and British title challenger Kris Hughes). He has faced by far the best quality opposition and has a good engine with a good chin (despite the prospects faced, only failed to go the 6 round distance twice). As the outsider of the tournament which is probably based on records I think he is worth a tickle. Although Choi is fave, he can be outboxed and can be crude. Despite this he could be worth having a saver on as the gulf in experience with his other rivals is massive. That said he is 40 and could be fading. Recommended bets 5pts Bailey 25/1 Boyles 5pts Jennings 14/1 Betfred Cant resist the saver on Choi at 15/8 Boyles It makes it tricky with the draw being made on the night but fingers crossed the selections are in the first or second fight. The odds could very well flip based on the draw.
