    Re: Boxing: Jermain Taylor vs Carl Froch very good thread this one. some good views the majority i agree with.... yes taylor has fought the highr standard of opposition for sure but he has never impressed me that much. wins over hopkins were debatable imo (1 certainly was for me) he struggled with spinks when in reality he shouldve bullied him, with winky he just couldnt get off properly (admittedly winky is awkward) and he was disgusted with the draw....fair play he did what he was supposed to against ouma but agin agians a fighter he couldve bullied and who is shot now anyway and then there were the pavlik defeats......oh and as said above lacy (again a spent fighter imo) had him on the floor where he wqas holding a lot. I deffo think JT has stamina problems though but maybe as he says it got to be a struggle with the weight. Froch does seem confident and he is willing to go over there for this all credit (great post by kevshat).....ive heard people say froch is arrogant - i honestly dont think this is the case - i just think hes supremely confident......ive tood and fowed on this 1 all week and still cant make my mind up.............it really is a huge step up in class for froch and he truly has never been in the ring with someone as fast as taylor......hopefully he can get through the 1st few rounds and then start to wear taylor down. maybe letting my heart rule my head but fancy froch to come through strongly in the later rounds.....but im not confident enough for a serious bet so for interest i go froch for a vlue minimum bet in round 10 and 11 40/1 apiece ps. if anyone does find a link please put it up . cheers

    Re: MTT Team Challenge As for the rules on this comp. Im easy to go with the majority. I see no harm in players from the same team playing in the same comp as long as it is clear beforehand who is representing the team. As for 1 member teams having and advantage I dont think that is true either tbh. Certainly not applicable to me as all my games will be on devilfish as I only have 3 accounts anyway and these arent the ones with all these value added tourneys that people are in - Im also only just trying to find my feet on devilfish so any pointers would be helpful - hehe thats a bit rich asking opponents for advice on comps:tongue2 Also with the addition of bigbadken I just thought it easier to share the account so its easy to sort when someone reaches the 500 target....so I will simply say which of us is playing on each night (dont suppose it makes too much difference anyway)

    Re: Virgin Festival 4th-5th April / Newcastle Just wanted to say it was great to meet a lot of you guys over the weekend as I regularly tangle with many of you on Virgin, what a great bunch of guys and girls. Dont think Ive ever played poker as rough as I felt on the sunday, so theres one lesson learned straight off - dont stay in the local hosel dive and try to get home before 6.30am when you know your playing the next day!!!! Well played to all those who cashed over the weekend (I hear there were various on the friday as well). Apologies to avon on the knockout and wow fonzie IS fonzie. Gutted not to hang around for an hour at final table but I guess the lights got to me again but hey ho wouldve taken it when I started. Good luck to all and see you at the tables.....

    Took Klitchko to win by TKO or KO at @1.5 :beer Yes,Vitaliy did look very tired and had bad cut on his head but still won it.Eevn when he is tired his punches are still heavy. Next fight will intresting.If Valuev(Russia) wins his next fight then he will face Klitchko.Now this will be fight to watch :dudeCan't wait.

    Re: Virgin Festival league Thanks for the offer Mint but Virgin have been totally professional and sorted it. They offered me the seat or to bump up the 100 to the value of my seat. I chose the latter due to there only being 2 festivals this year and like you already have one and enjoy playing the league anyway:) In the end it works good for everyone and i have a spare couple of quid to buy ooblio a beer or 2:)

    Re: Boxing weekend 27feb Very valid points Green. I only saw the judge thing after the post or wouldve mentioned, either way its encouraging. KMs power is certainly a worry but RM seems to have a solid chin and slipped his way through last time so maybe it could be the same but as mentioned above I think Kiko will be a little more patient this time. The betting is a slight worry as I know there was a splurge on his 1st round ko of dunne after kiko said he had backed himself after the weigh in. Still taking into account all this I still see good value in 11/2. Incidentally where was 6s - No big deal for a tickle but I looked high and low:-S
