Re: A League > 5 - 7 October Newcastle Jets Vs Adelaide Don't really know much about Newcastle jets other then Bernardo Ribeiro & Heskey.Heskey has signed for them & he will definately be a handful on his day.Whether he is up to match fitness is another story all together.Adelaide will definately be very tired from their game vs Bunyodkor.The game went into extra time & they played most of the extra time with 10 men.So they willl definately be carry some fatigue & jetlag into this match.I am jst going to have a go Newcastle winning this game due to the fact that Adelaid will not be adequately prepared for this game & physically not at their best. Re: Singapore > S League > 2012 Singapore Cup Gombak Vs SAF FC Both teams will be trying desperately to get into the finals.SAF hold a 1-0 lead & there is no away goals rules here.SAF were very lucky in the first leg.Their keeper kept them in the tie & they were lucky to grab the win with a penalty that shouldn’t have been.Both will be edgy today but the onus will be on gombAK to try to make something happen.SAF cannot defend & have been on the decline for a couple of seasons.This is their coach last hurrah as he has said he will be stepping down after a very succesful career with SAF.Gombak has been in this situation before & i reallythink they have what it takes to make it to the finals.The have showed their mettle in the quarter finals being 2-1 down in the first leg & eventually getting thru.There will be nerves.SAF will want to give their coach a worthy farewell but i think they will try to play on the counter which is not their style.Im quietly confident Gombak is good value to grab the win.So will be having a flutter on them to win the game outright. Re: Championship > October 6 Leeds vs Barnsley With leeds not having kept a clean sheet in the last 8 games & all of the last 8 games going over.I really think goals will be on the cards again.Leeds are currently undergoing a 4 game unbeaten run & morale will be high.The takeover of the club drags on & see's no visable end.Leeds will be missing the usual suspects such as Green,Mcormark,Bromby & Somma.Norris seems to have recovered from his injury & will be a good option on the bench. Keith Hill’s side form has since dropped off since their astonishing 5-0 win at Birmingham 2 weeks ago, followed it up with a 1-1 draw to struggling Ipswich and a 2-0 defeat at home to bottom club Peterborough.So their form hasn't been very good. Both sides are capable of scoring a few goals, and this should be a decent game of footie.So i am going to have a small flutter on Over 3.5 goals @ $2.65 Leicester vs Bristol City Leicester have been on a good run of form.4 wins on the trot.Their Home form has been very good other then the blimp to Burton Albion in the cup game.Bristol City have a left back crisis at the moment.Greg Cunningham is still a month away from returning after damaging ankle ligaments last month & George Elokobi was ruled out for the season after fracturing his ankle last saturday and teenager Joe Bryan missed Tuesday night’s draw with millwall. Re: Bundesliga 2 > October 5-8 Hertha Berlin vs 1860 Munich Hertha go into this match missing quite alot of players from its first team.Felix Bastians is missing due to a knee problem.Christoph Janker, Shervin Radjabali-Fardi and Pierre-Michel Lasogga are absent, as is Levan Kobiashvili who is suspended.Peter Niemeyer's knee injury will probably mean he misses this one & with him being the captain he will be missed. Re: Malaysia Cup 2012 Lionx11 Vs ATM FA Singapore will be up against it.ATM have 2 of the hottest strikers in the game in malaysia at the moment.The team has a sprinkling of 6 international players.ATM is basically widely known as the "MANCHESTER CITY" of malaysian football due to the amount of money they have spent on getting promoted to the top tier of malaysian football.ATM are an attacking team & not to be taken lightly.They have scored against some of the top teams like kelantan & Trengganu.Singapore will be very organised in this game & try to keep a clean sheet.I personally think there is no chance of that.ATM has an absolutely potent strike force.Marlon james will be a constant threat & bruno will be pulling the strings. Singapore will be missing ISA HALIM who is a very important player.As he usually sits infront of the back 4 breaking play up & slowing things down when the lions are under enormous pressure.They will miss his tenacity in the middle o n the park.Singapore will also be blunted in attack.Khairul Amri picked up a hamstring strain & wil be replaced by nigerian born striker Agu casmir who doesn't really fill me up with confidence.Agu will hold up play well & try to bring others into play.But singapore's lack of pace will be detrimental here.The set pieces are going to be very important for singapore here if they are to get something from this game..Good news is that sufian annuar will finally be fit after a leg injury.He will be an impact player on the bench with his pace & constant chasing down.He won't be fully fit & will be used sparingly. Both Teams to Score looks a decent bet here.

Re: A League > 5 - 7 October Melbourne Victory vs Melbourne Heart A derby day opening match.What a good way to kick of the season in my opinion.Etihad stadium will definately be rocking & i think home support will be very important in this clash. Ange Postecoglou comes to the Victory following 2 titles with the Brisbane Roar & will definately try to stamp his authority on this team by playing his style of possesion football & attack.He has made some good signings in Flores & Finkle. Heart will definately be in transition.Losing a clutch of players such as (Curtis Good, Brendan Hamill, Eli Babalj and Adrian Zahra).Their pre season loss to perth glory 5-0 would not have done their confidence much good.So there is really a tough job on hand for aloisi.Really think Victory will try to exploits Heart's defensive frailties.Just be cautious that this is a season opener & no one really knows the form these 2 teams are in or how Heart is going to set themselves up over the course of the season. Re: Group C > Oct 3 (Malaga, AC Milan, Anderlecht, Zenit SP) Zenit Vs Milan Milan have started the season very badly with just 2 wins out of 6.They have won just one of their last 11 Champions League matches away from the San Siro, drawing six and losing four.Not really good reading for a team travelling to russia on the back of bad form.Alot has been said of the off the field problems of Zenit.Talk has been of the unsettling effect created by the big-money signings of Axel Witsel and striker Hulk, with some players upset by the difference in wages offered to the new boys.Hopefully things are sorted out in that front.Zenit do have a decent home european record & they have won ten and lost none of the last 13 home games in European competition. Re: Midweek > Championship > 2-3 October Bolton vs Leeds Leeds have been having a pretty decent run of form lately.David Norris will return from injury after his thigh injury.This should be a welcome addition to the team & will bring more options in the middle of the park.Bolton were woeful at home to palace & will be hoping for a better display.Bolton will be a threat to leeds with some excellent attacking players such as Eagles...(both Kevin & Mark) Davies & Sordell.I really think there are goals to be had here.Leeds aren't exactly the most stable team at the back but will look to match bolton.Diouf finding his scoring boots will be a boost. i think he just thinks the standard of scottish football isn't that strong as compared to other more established leagues.I think Lennon will set them up well here & on the counter.Spartak will be no mugs & going for the win,But i think they will leave gaps that celtic can exploit if they are clinical.Scottish League is not amateur and if Celtic can score many goals in their league I can see them scoring at least one against Spartak. -
Re: Malaysia Cup 2012 Lions 12 vs Pahang All the pressure will be on lions tonight to grab the win.Already 2-1 down from the previous tie,Singapore needs a win & nothing else will do.Pahang are the cups best scoring team & also one of the leakiest defensively.19 goals scored is no mean feat.Pahang have been boosted by the news that their brazilian striker Maycon has recovered from a bruised foot & wll play a part in this game.Away goals rule counts & lions know that a 1-0 result will be enough for them to progress.Pahang know only one way of playing the game.That is to attck & attack fast down the wings.Singapore will go for the decisive goal & will most probably get it.Whatever this game brings...i fully expect goals.Lions CANNOT sit back if they grab the lead & pahang will attack them at every oppurtunity tonight.Lions will be playing on their artificial surface & pahang hasn't played them on it.This could prove a slight advantage in the lions favour.With both teams at nearly full strenght,i expect a cracker of a game. Re: Championship > September 29/30 Bristol City vs Leeds Circumstances have changed.The takeover seems to be concluding.(or so it seems)Leeds have just come of a morale boosting win over everton & played extremely well.The team seems to be coping well with the injuries & Diouf & Beechio have forged an extremely good partnership upfront.Austin has been massive in the middle of the park & i do think there is slight value in leeds at the moment.Taking into consideration the "Feel good" factor that must be running thru the club right now,im gonna just have a small punt on leeds.With Peltier & Kenny set to return to the lineup for this game,im optimistic we will be able to get the 3 points. Re: Malaysia Cup 2012 Malaysian Cup – PKNS v Lions XII FC The lions need just a point here to qualify & i dont expect any fireworks.PKNS sit on 2 points & have to win to have any hope of making the quarter finals.Their chances are very slim & depends on the other match in johor.Singapore will once again Sit back & hit on the counter.The head coach of lions has already said he is won’t be changing his style of play & the onus is on PKNS to come out & score.Singapore will hit them on the counter & as usual will play this way in all their away games.Isa halim & jumaat jantan will miss this game due to hamstring probllems & will also likely rest captain Shahril ishak who has mainly been used as an attacker & shahdan suilaman their playmaker as the duo are both having fevers.Creatively singapore don’t have much going forward today & i really think they are going to settle for a low scoring win or draw.Tough call on this game but im going on

Re: Singapore > S League > 2012 Gombak Vs Young Lions Young lions have a mini injury & suspension crisis going on.They are missing Sheriff El Masri,Sirini Camara,Shafiq Ghani,Haniff Ja’ffar Sadique (fringe player),Aqhari Abdullah and Al-Qaasimy Abdul Rahman also miss out due to national service commitments. Gombak basically have a full squad to choose from in this game.Korean striker Jung Hee is back after injury for this game.Gombak will be high on morale after their point against Brunei which was no mean feat.Only Hafiz Rahim is a slight doubt but he is expected to be passed fit to take his place up front.Gombak will be very solid as usual & i think will grab all 3 points here.Young lions will be thin on the ground & i expect this to be a tough game but am confident of singapore grabbing a win. Re: Singapore > S League > 2012 Geylang Vs Tanjong pagar Tanjong pagar are missing 2 important team players & will definately try not to lose to geylang who have seen an upturn in form after their inspired cup run.7 points seperate these 2 sides & form clearly is on geylangs side.TP will defend for their lives here & hit on the counter here.They don't want to give the 3 points to Geylang who will then have 4 points to catch up.After a tough season Geylang are desperate to try to catch up with the 8th & 9th position.It's going to be a scrappy affair.Geylang striker Milojevic misses this tie due to an injury which will give TP encouragement.TP are missing 2 regular first team defenders with one of them being their captain.So i reallli see TP defending for their lives here.Kaplan Geylangs chief midfielder will be sensing a victory here & will be going for it.I personally see it being 1-0 or maybe 0-0 here unless TP absolutely crumble.See some value here in the unders as both teams don't really want to lose & the impetus will be on geylang to eventually come out looking for the 3 points. Re: Singapore > S League > 2012 Tampines Vs Home United Both teams are coming of very poor displays in their last games.Tampines especially were lacklustre throughout their game.Probably stemming from a change of coach & sudden change of tactics.Their former coach was dropped to the primeleague(youthleague) unexpectedly & their new coach Tay changed their long used 3-5-2 tactics to the 4-4-2.Usually u'd expect proffesional footballers to have an easy transition to the tactics,Both not in singapore football. Hadzibulic,tampines hitman will be a doubt after coming of the last game with a ankle problem.With the new tactical reshuffle to a 4-4-2,i dont think its much of a problem.Duric & Nor Alam shah will cover perfectly.Tampines will be going for a result here as their nearest rivals Albirex don't play this week & a long 2 week break awaits the team after this game.Tay will definately be drilling the team hard. Home united were lucky to escape with a point in their last game.No injury concerns for them going into this game.Home coach Lee Lim Saeng will again try to play cautiously in defence.The fact remains that his defence are just not very good.They have lacked confidence & their lack of pace was highlighted against albirex who should have had 2 penalties in that game.They are lucky tampines don't have much pacey frontmen.The strenght of these 2 teams lie in their attack.Mendy & Shi jiayi will definately have to be in top nick here if they are going to get anything from this game.I fully expect both teams to get on the score sheet.Calling for a winner here will be hard.Just don't know how well tampines have been accustomed to their new tactics. Both teams to score is my bet here.

Johor FA vs Lionsx11 Going into today's clash,Singapore have alot of injury worries to contend with.Fitness of Bhaihaki khaizan (centre back) & winger Hanapi are doubtful.Confirmed out are Jumaat (right back), Nizam(striker) & Bahrudin (centre back).Johor FA is coached by a singapore legend Fandi Ahmad & his message to his team is quite simple."We cannot lose this game".Singapore has 4 points while Johor FA sits on 1.It's critical he gets a win here today.Johor FA has its playmaker Andrezenio back from suspension which is a boost.Singapore will be going for a win here & so will Johor fa.This all points to goals.Singapore wont have its first team Back four.These 2 teams have played twice with Singapore losing 2-3 & then winning 4-3 in the other clash.I really don't see how both these teams will try to defend.Both want the 3 points to get a place in the quarter finals of the malaysia cup.This isn't like other countries league cups.The prestige & importance teams hold to getting further in this competition is important.100% will be given as the league is over & the teams wil have full attention & focus on the game. Over 3 goals is what im going to go for.Hoping for the best:hope

Don't think he will mess with the defence one bit.He has in interviews said he wants to get them to build an understanding.Diouf will probably start to build up some fitness provided his contract talks hasn't collapsed.Youngsters like Byram & Dom Poleon might get a chance to get a run out.Couple of transfer listed players like Pugh & Nunez will most likely get a run out.Don't think its a bad team thats going to be out there.Im pretty confident warnock wants to win this game & try to get a lucrative money spinning 3rd round cup tie if he can with money being tight at elland road due to the alleged takeover.Even if Leeds make changes he's talking about fielding Andy Gray and Adam Drury both of whom are experienced players. Oxford have some key players out too and it may be a tight affair but its hard to see how Leeds won't prevail. Bah Mamadou and Eddie Chang is also Doubtful for the clash with TP. Carlos Delgado, Takaya Kawanabe & Gilbert Bayonne will be hoping to exploit the injuries & Suspensions by putting in a good shift.TP has always given 100% in games & not given much away..But with the injuries & Suspensions of SAF pilling up,they will definately sense that SAF can be beaten & with SAF's head coach already giving up on the title challenge there is not much to play for them.Really think there is value here asian handicap +1/1.5 Tanjong Pagar @$2.08 @ betinternet.com
