  1. Re: Best bet of the day Tues 17th Feb 15:10 Guildenstern 1pt win. A good horse and before last run has had 2 wins and has had consistent good form after that. Only worry for me is the handicap, gone up 10lbs since his last win. However, is a CD winner just a couple of weeks ago in a decent race and similarly before that. His last race where he came 6th at Kempton he got held up badly. Jockey will learn from that and he will be near the front from the start. Trainer is also in form and Quinn is on board, should go close. I think Ravi River has its faults and at 6/1 Guildenstern has a decent chance. Guildenstern 1pt win

  2. Re: Wolverhampton 17/2 2:40 Tag Team - Right, this may seem like a very odd choice considering it's a massive 33/1 however. This is not a very competitive race, all horses have their weaknesses. Tag Team's form at Wolverhampton is nothing short of exceptional with constant top 3 placings in its time. The horse must hate Southwell and the trainer has now booked with Wolverhampton to try and rekindle some of its old form. Harris isn't in awful form with some good top 3's in the last 30 days and Catlin's on board which may see this one go close. At 33/1 we shall see if he can see if the 8 year old can get some Wolverhampton form back! Tag Team E/W 33/1! P.s I'm not actually betting today - I'm a student type and only work part time in Tesco and am going to watch Wrexham at Burton tonight so :( So if it comes in you owe me a pint :P haha

  3. Re: Wolverhampton 17/2 2:10 Really like the look of 3 horses here, Frazier, All you Need and Mr Loire. Frazier - Improving horse, ran a very good race LTO at Wolvs over 7f coming 3rd. Says the same weight despite that race and in that race he was held up badly, a better run from the jockey may see this one going close. All you Need - Form is nothing to shout about, however may relish the drop down in trip. Trainer is magnificent form though, with out of 20 horses in the last few weeks they have pretty much all come top 4!!! Hayley is also booked, this one will go close at a good price. My choiec though is Mr Loire - Improving horse and came 5th LTO (2nd before that) in a very competitive race against the likes of stonecrabstomorrow and Hart of Gold. Wingrove is in form and the jockey is in fantastic form with 2 good winners yesterday. Mr Loire E/W 7/1 The others will go close as well.

  4. Re: Best Bet Of The Day - Monday 16/02/09 15:00 Wolverhampton Jolly Ranch - A horse that has been improving every time. Form reads 1/3/6. Jolly Ranch won LTO at the exact same course, distance and going. That race was not very competitive but the race before when he came 3rd was. Some good horses in that race and he is always improving winning his last race well. Trainer is in form with 2/4 with his last 2 horses. Jockey is in some form as well. Biggest danger is Speak the Truth who was driven hard last time out and made hard work of the win against not brilliant opposition. It has been raised 6lbs since that last win which may be too much for it. Red Cell I am not impressed with. Although won well LTO it was against poor opposition, has also never ridden in Wolv and this could be a problem. Jolly Ranch win 6.3 on betfair.

  5. Re: Wolverhampton 16/2/09 1:55 I'm liking the look of Border Tale in this one at a huge 16/1. Drops down 3 classes, and also 56lb's in weight since it's last win! Trip, Ground and Course seem a bit of a worry which have boosted it's price so high, but if you look at it's last 3 runs 10/1/1 all in class 3 races it has done well. The last race was given a bad ride and it never got going but it showed potential in the runs before that and has had some good form in its career. As said got a few problems, but this isn't a good race and I am going ofr a small E/W bet. Border Tale E/W 17's on betfair.

  6. Re: Wolverhampton 14th February Got one right at least :loon 9:20 Hard race to predict, but I'm going for the favourite Laurel Creek. Has been in fantastic form recently and won easily LTO. Kelly on board for what should be a fast pace and I think this will bolt up at the end quite comfortably against good opposition. 15/8. The others who look good in the race are and who I am going for in the place market are Millie's Rock and Epidaurian King. Both who did well LTO but in poorer races Laurel Creek WIN 15/8 Millies Rock PLACE 9/2 Epidaurian King PLACE 22/1 Also gone for a tricast as well :hope:hope

  7. Re: Wolverhampton 14th February 8:50 Brouhaha - Won very well LTO and has a recent record of 1/10/4/2/2/3/2/2 Has exact same draw and CD as LTO ina race which he won well especially in the final furlong. Stable is in good form with wins and places in February and January. Similarly the Jockey is in good form with wins and places in Feb. The horse also has a very good handicap at 66, one of the lowest in the race. Flying the flag has been in poor form recently - the main opposition - but dosen't seem to find any pace in the final few furlongs. Think Brouhaha will go very well tonight and is my NAP of all the races at Wolverhampton. Brouhaha - 4.7 betfair.

  8. Re: Wolverhampton 14th February 8:20 Don't like the look of Hallingdal at all. Instead I'm going for Channon's horse Leading Edge. Comes down in the weights by 7 ounces from LTO where it was more down to bad jockeying than the horse. Culhane takes up the reigns and has a fantastic record of 2/1/1/2. Hallingdal has many weaknesses and at a very respectable 4/1, Leading Edge has every chance of landing home the win. Which, before having a poor ride out last time, came 2nd and 1st in decent races. First time at Wolvs may be a worry but this can be said for many of the horses in the race. Lets hope it hacks up from the inform Channon's stable 4/1 1pt win

  9. Re: Wolverhampton 14th February 19:50 Shaws Diamond - Can't see past the favourite here. Came 2nd in a competitive race LTO. Steps up in trip and I don't think Shaw will name his horse "Shaw's Diamond" for nothing !! :P Can't see anything that will give him a run for his money. Channon's horse hasn't shown anything and One Slick Chick was hard ridden LTO in a poor race as well. Shaw's Diamond 1.97 Betfair.

  10. Re: Wolverhampton 14th February 7:20 I have gone for Ed's Pride. Steps up in trip and looks like he needed it as LTO he was very prominant. Dosen't seem to find much at the end, so a step up in trip may help him find his way. Not gone much up in weight at all and I think Ryan's horse at a huge 14/1 has a definate E/W chance against rather weak opposition. La doisa being the main opposition. Ed's Pride E/W 14/1

  11. Re: Best Bet of the Day - Sat 14/2/09 6:50 Wolverhampton King Of Legend - I like the look of King Of Legend in this race. CD winner LTO to fend off Sion Hill and ran well by all accounts. He is up against some good opposition such as Moment of Clarity, Sion Hill and Samurai Warrior. However, he impressed me LTO against good opposition and he is still well handicapped. He has draw 4, exactly the same as last time and has every chance in the race. Foster's stable is in good form with a winner and a 3rd in the last horses run from it. The horse will keep on improving. The biggest threat I can find is Samurai Warrior who came a decent 3rd LTO against tough opposition. However, I'm going to stick with my guns and go for King of Legend at a very respectable 6/1 on betfair. 1pt win King of Legend. P.s Fantastic Russ, well done mate.

  12. Re: Best Bet of the Day 12-02-2009 1:20 Southwell Interesting race here. There are two horses I like the look of and that is Jordi Roper and Government. Despite Government seemingly out of form, all 4 of his wins have come in Southwell, his latest win being at 7f but he is a CD winner. Interestingly, 2 out of 4 of his wins have come from draw 4, which is his draw today. Despite his last 5 or 6 runs not exactly setting the world a light, his latest run at Southwell he came 5th. Now, I know that doesn't sound fantastic but this race is not a competitive race. Every single horse has faults. What's more is that the trainer is in form, his last two horses have come 3rd and 2nd and they were both long odds 33/1 and 9/1. They have both also come at Southwell and this was just 2 days ago. Hefferman is on board as well who is in great form. His last horses he has run have come 3rd 1st and 2nd and his last Chapman/Heffermen partnership Louisiade come 2nd. Everyone may go for Chapman's other horse Louisiade. But to me he is a declining horse and for the odds are not worth it. Instead I am going to go for Government, same stable, same colours but looks an improving horse and at 40/1 it's surely worth a punt. Government 0.5pts E/W.

  14. Re: Wolverhampton 9/2 5.05 Wolv

Mullitovermaurice came close when done over by Svindal last time out but is a no bet at the price for me. Common Diva could go well at a bigger price and in her favour she is top rated, arrives in a decent level of form and is only 5 lbs higher than her last handicap win. That win came over CD and the second and third have run respectably since to give the form some credence. Winston won on her last time and takes over from Quinn, who rode her in a claimer last time out. Disappointed a little that day, but prepared to give her a chance to bounce back with the jockey switch.
SUPERB, :bignana CAN NOW AFFORD SOME CAR INSURANCE LOL. CHEERS MATE!!!
  15. Re: Bbotd 10/1/09 1:10 Ling Ray Diamond - 13 on betfair Came 1st LTO in a competitive race. the horse who came second in that race went to become 3rd in its next race in a class 3. No idea why it is so big, trainer and jockey are in good form and this may come in at a big price 1pt win.

  16. Re: Bbotd 9/01/09 Kamanja 1:30 Ling Jarvis' filly runs here and although she didn't look fantastic lto (still came 5th out of 13th on her debut) she would of learned immensely from that race and Jarvis will have got her in the correct mind frame. Think this one will go well today Kamanja 1pt win.
