  1. Re: FTP - Feds Call Full Tilt Poker A Massive Ponzi Scheme I have been a Ladbrokes customer for a long time. I no longer trust them, based upon an email that I recieved from them, telling me that if I did not make a bet within a certain time frame, then they were going to apply a charge on the money that I still had deposited with them. That is a very AP/UB , Neteller type of thinking. In case you don't get it, it is an abuse/pillaging of seemingly dormant account's. That kind of mentality is abhorrent to me. I don't trust them and I certainly wouldn't deposit any amount of money with any of them.

  2. Re: Phil Ivey To Boycott the WSOP Ivey just look's like a bloated Rat trying to leave a sinking ship, to me. Worse still, is that his statement makes him look as if he is trying not to look like any sort of Rat at all. Does anybody really believe that he cares about the vast majority of Full Tilt players? That must be why he played there then, because he cared about them so much. This looks very much like self preservation.

  3. Re: Are online poker rooms fair? xcode, The pattern that you mention I could have written about myself, from my own experience, albeit in sit and go’s and for different stakes. The pattern repeats itself over and over again, over every site that I have played on, yet we are still supposed to believe that we may be the next Dwan or Ivey. Yeah, right. I don’t believe in poker anymore. I’m doing my own “zero to something” personal challenge on FTP, which is inevitably following the same pattern and then that is it. I am maintaining the staking plan and play, that built up my bank in the first place whilst inevitably watching it disappear. I‘ve wasted enough time on poker now. I’ve given it too many chances. I just don’t believe in it or the people that promote it anymore.

  4. Re: Buying Hand Histories Would potripper or nionio have been caught on an anonymous account, given that UB/AP completely denied that any wrong doing had ever gone on in the first place ?

  5. Re: A novel promotion I have heard of King Solomon, obviously, but I never realised that he had a poker site. Rules 4 and 5 are a bit worrying, for different reasons , but mainly because of the way that they are worded. A no deposit, nothing to something challenge with, potential, added value, does seem quite interesting to me though.

  6. Re: I'm Wondering how many Players want to keep track of their FR Winnings? After reading the Chris Ferguson article in Poker Player, I’ve now started my own “nothing to something” challenge on Blue Square. I am amazed how great it feels playing poker when you have absolutely nothing to lose. I can honestly say that I have never enjoyed playing poker as much as I am currently. There are no such things as bad beats when you haven’t actually lost anything. That will undoubtedly change as I try to move up through the various levels though, because I know that any money I accumulate will start to become very dear to me and I am already wondering at what level it will no longer actually be fun.

  7. Re: new members "of course you know now Ill be checking all the posts of the newbies that get entered into our forth coming events." LOL, I understand where you are coming from but for some reason I just had a flashback to that old black and white Frankenstein or Hunchback of Notre Dame movie, where the whole community were outside the castle with lighted torches and pitchforks. Maybe it's time for my medication. Nurse!!

  8. Re: David Benyamine Didn’t the old Texas road gamblers have shared equity in each other by playing out of a common pot? Therefore, I'm not sure where any actual boundaries of morality may lie in poker, if indeed they lie anywhere at all.

People like Benyamine are constantly promoted because of the levels that they are supposedly playing at. Yet Benyamines statement suggests that if it were purely his own money that he was risking, he would not be playing at his regular level on FT. Therefore, it is merely an illusion, that he can comfortably play at the level he regularly appears at.

In the last series of High Stakes Poker, Guy la Liberte’s statement to Benyamine, “ I know that is a lot of money for you,†just reveals the illusion, (that has been deliberately built up, around these individuals), even more.
  9. Re: pokerstars bans Sharkscope? I've never used any tracking software, but until I read that list I had no idea just how much ammunition there was, that may be being used against me. Did I read it right, that there is software available that could allow collaborators to see each others hole cards?

  10. Re: Suggestions Samba, that is small beer, you need to think much bigger. Think global. Pete Kerching, Kerching, Kerching, Kerching, sounds somehow much more attracive to some people. There is a potential downside of course, if you decide to go down that route. Isn't there always? At the vey least, your credit card comapny may not be able to provide you with a card long enough to fit your name on.

  11. Re: Suggestions Maybe the real value in this sort of thing would be where someone has won a package to a major tournie ( e.g. WSOP main event) and wants to guarantee themselves some sort of return for their time, while the stakers would have a shot at a share of a colossal main prize?

Weren’t Moneymaker and Gold staked for their entry fees in the main event?

If there is anyone out there called Colin Cashmachine, Peter Platinum or with the initials ATM, then I might be interested in a hundredth share of their action.

  12. Re: $50,000 horse final table Yes, I’ve seen it.

I’ve never played live Poker, but I cannot believe that it is acceptable behaviour in a televised game, particularly from someone, who, for whatever reason, has been somehow titled as the “Prince of Poker”. Particularly, the constant swearing from him, abuse towards the drink servers and showing his cards to the crowd. Sometimes, the end result cannot ever be justified by the means under which it was achieved.

Seriously, is any or all of that behaviour allowed in televised poker? I just cannot see that as acceptable behaviour these days, regardless of how many bracelets he has won in the past.
