Re: Swedish Allsvenskan Aug 15-17
I'd guess that it has something to do with Elfsborg having their europa league playoff game away to Lazio on the 20th so that might affect the lineup and tactics. A draw wouldn't be a bad result for them considering their less than impressive away form.I must say that your blog is amazing:loon. Bookies are giving pretty good odds for Elfsborg. Mine gives 2.02. Any reasons why they are doing this? -
Re: UEFA Europa League 4/6 August 2009/2010
I took that on board and had a feeling there'd be a goal or two in the last 15-20 mins. I waited until the over 0.5 was over 2.00, my minimum price, then bang, Brugge scored at the very second I decided to go for it. I missed several others I was keeping an eye on as well. Too slow on the draw tonight.I'd be very wary of betting on this game. Lahti rested a fair amount of players for their trip to Vaasa at weekend, including Jari Litmanen. They'll be more than up for this game because their Veikkausliiga campaign is virtually over. What's more, they're hosting one of the most unpredictable sides in Belgium. Club Brugge are more than capable of beating Anderlecht 3-0 and then losing to Mons 4-0. One thing is for sure here in my eyes and that's a lot of goals because neither side can defend but both can score. I quite fancy Lahti to shock Brugge here and win, although I'm not sure I'd dare speculate who will actually qualify! Good luck -

Cheers, I might only do something inplay in the last 15 mins if still 0-0, I'll see how it goes.I'd be very wary of betting on this game. Re: UEFA Europa League 4/6 August 2009/2010 Lahti are playing their 11th game in 5 weeks and their 3rd away in a row. The heavy schedule must be taking a toll on the legs. Brugge performed well against the likes of Valencia and St.Etienne last season and need a goal to be safe so this looks like an away win to me. I'd certainly expect Brugge to be a lot fresher in the last 15-20 minutes.

Re: ATP: Gstaad/LA/Umag & WTA: Stanford/Istanbul Czink is carrying an achilles tendon injury which caused her to withdraw from the Ordina open last month. She did play Wimbledon but went out to Mauresmo in the first round.

Re: ATP: Gstaad/LA/Umag & WTA: Stanford/Istanbul At first glance on the ladies side, I like Wozniak @ 2.25 as a dog against Hantuchova and prices should shorten. The big hitting Canadian is defending champ, and has been preparing there since Wimbledon while Hantuchova with her UEs and sloppy play is just unbackable for me as a fave.

Re: Brazil » Série A ( 24/26 july )
Your questions have already been answered in the thread matey. I'm steering clear of Barueri v Sao Paulo. Barueri can't keep up their home form forever while Sao Paulo will get their act together sooner or later. I think it's a good opportunity to assess where both sides are at right now.Can anyone tell me their thoughts on Corinthians v Palmeiras tonight...Also where is the game being played? And why are Gremio Barueri's odds so high to beat Sau Paulo? -
Re: Sweden,Weekend, 25-27th of July.
Nice call here mate. Djurgarden almost held on too but I didn't expect them to have a penalty head start.Helsingborgs vs Gefle. Seriously surprised that Helsingborgs lost 2-1 to Zestafoni in the CL Qualifier. They are very good at scoring a couple and seeing teams off at home. Gefle are unpredicatable. They didn't play badly against Helsingborg last time when they got beat 2-0. They can beat teams on the road. They've done it before. Close win for Helsingborgs i reckon. -1 Helsingborg if you're ambitious! -
Re: Sweden,Weekend, 25-27th of July. Elfsborg's odds are about right, little value unless the -1.5 AH is taken which is risky if they'll be happy to sit on a 1-0 lead and save energy for Braga. Artificial pitch here let's not forget.

Re: Sweden,Weekend, 25-27th of July. ELFSBORG Skador/Avstängningar: Jari Ilola (s), Johan Karlsson (a) Preliminär startelva: Ante Covic - Daniel Mobaeck, Teddy Lucic, Martin Andersson, Mathias Florén - Helgi Danielsson, Anders Svensson - Stefan Ishizaki, Denni Avdic, Emir Bajrami - James Keene DJURGÅRDEN Skador/avstängningar: Boyd Mwila (s), Yosif Ayuba (s), Johan Oremo (osäker), Daniel Sjölund (osäker), Mattias Jonson (osäker) Preliminär startelva: Pa Dembo Touray - Patrik Haginge, Markus Johannesson, Toni Kuivasto, Petter Gustafsson - Sebastian Rajalakso, Kebba Ceesay, Daniel Sjölund, Mikael Dahlberg, Hrvoje Milic - Mattias Jonson. If my pigeon Swedish is correct Elfsborg are missing one important defender (Karlsson) and Djurgarden miss regular midfielder Mwila, while other regulars Sjolund (midfield) and Oremo (forward, 0 goals) and 35 y/o oldie forward Jonson (3 appearances, 1 goal) are doubtful. I think Elfsborg will try to wrap this up with a couple of goals then rest key players for Thursday. Djurgarden will just park the bus and hope for the best.

Re: Brazil » Série A ( 24/26 july ) I was thinking of Barueri AH (0) but not so sure now after Sao Paulo's comeback against Internacional. I know Barueri is in Sao Paulo state but how close is it to the city itself? Close enough to allow large travelling support and negate home advantage a fair bit?

Re: Gold Cup Semi-Final
Keep an eye on goal.com for news, injuries etc mate. http://www.goal.com/en/news/2464/gold-cup-2009/archive/1hi there im looking for some info on a double of usa and mexico. I dont know these teams very well but both look like they could win. Is there any team news ect? Thanks for the help Scott. -
Re: UEFA Champions League » 2009-2010 ( 21 July - 22 July ) I was at the Bohemians game tonight. Very disappointing loss. Soft soft goal to give away.

Re: UEFA Champions League » 2009-2010 ( 21 July - 22 July )
Yes. I'm certain you'll get a ban for persisting with this rubbish..any more of a certain banker?? -
Re: UEFA Champions League » 2009-2010 ( 21 July - 22 July ) I'm not saying Stabaek are a banker. I never use that word. But home advantage (stadium has a fixed roof and artificial pitch) is very big here.
-
Re: Norrkoping v Mjallby I waswondering about this myself. They sold ace striker Fejzullahu to Nijmegen and I think they're missing 1 or 2 important midfielders but that has to be confirmed. But surely they should still be too strong, defensively at least, for the home side.
-
Re: UEFA Champions League » 2009-2010 ( 21 July - 22 July ) Staebek. Rocking at home on their artificial pitch, and in midseason so match fit. Dunno anything about Tirana but they're still in preseason mode and have no option but to try and attack which should allow Staebek space to create a couple of goals. Cleansheet home win. Odds for straight win a bit too skinny.

Re: Brazil » Série A ( 22/23 july ) Provisionally, I quite like the look of International. Cup competitions and international duty is out of the way so they should start picking up a bit, and Sao Paolo are so hopeless on the road.

Re: ATP Indianapolis/Hamburg & WTA Portoroz/Bad Gastein,July 20-26
Dent was top 30 a few years ago until he had some injuries. He's got a huge serve and is on a home hardcourt. Plus he's beaten Daniel, a claycourter, twice this year, on clay and grass. Why is Taylor Dent at -700 and ranked #210 in the world vs. Marcos Daniel who is ranked #75? This is at the Indy Tournament. -
Re: Brazil » Série A ( 18/19 july )
Same bet for me mates. Looks safe. 3-0 up against 10 men. Forgive me for aftertiming, bad bad day today, and I'm using this to recoup.Followed :ok I mean honestly. I dont like the term "safe bet" either, but my money is on Barueri tonight. They have played so, so well lately. I think they will run over Nautico. I trust them enough to win, so I put 200 quid on -1 AH. If anyone disagrees I would like to hear reasoning :) -
Re: Brazil » Série A ( 18/19 july ) I think Barueri without Ralf as he was sent off in last game. Is that right? Is he a key player?
-
Re: Brazil » Série B ( 18/19 july ) Thank you Bagzi. Ceara odds still shortening. :unsure
-
Re: Brazil » Série B ( 18/19 july ) I like the look of Portuguesa DNB @ 2.00, apart from being thumped by Ponta Preta their defence seems very solid, but Ceara odds shortening a bit. Some team news would be nice.

Re: Champions League » 2009-2010 (14/15 july )
In the champions league last year Dynamo Kiev were expected to thrash Drogheda United and it didn't happen. They scraped through 4-3 on aggregate. In both ties their lack of match practice showed and they failed to show Drogs enough respect. I can see the possibility of something similar happening with Salzburg v Bohemians. There is a gulf in class and the artificial pitch is a big factor but I'd be wary of Salzburg being overconfident and lacking sharpness. It's hard for me to be totally objective here as I'd really like Bohs to get a result or at least only lose by 1 so I'm going to watch this on telly' date=' and see if any I can spot any value inplay.[/quote'] 1-1. Great result for Bohs. I wasn't fast enough to do anything inplay but I'm happy.
