  1. Re: Tennis: 2-8 August

Cirstea all over the place in early goings. She's sick or something. You hit balls harder in practice. Very disinterested and body language is very bad.
She tanked as she is entered in Cincinnati qualifiers on saturday and needed to be on a plane at about 12.30. That's why the match was on at an unusually earlier time. I wasn't sure about this so I said nothing but this is the stuff we have to watch for just before big tournaments.
  2. Re: Tennis: 26 July - 1 August

Groth was matched at 1.06 on betfair. Always lay when your pick is a break up in the 3rd or serving out the set. I think she's a fine prospect. Tipsarevic @ 2.5 on betfair Querrey not really with it. His main weapon is his serve but it's not working too well..He's been broken 9 times and faced 32 break points in the last two matches against poor opposition. You never know which Tipsy will turn up but he's performed reasonably well so far and has a great chance to take advantage of Sam's drop in form.
That 2nd set TB fiasco by Tipsy illustrates my point about putting in a lay when your pick is just at the finish line. It doesn't cost much of potential profits and ensures a nice win either way. Sam playing much better than I expected but very costly lapses.

please give me a bucket i need to puke because of that ... groth ' date=' flipping unbelievable, first the first set, and then the third, wish her the very worst for her future games[/quote'] Groth was matched at 1.06 on betfair. Lammer @ 2.28 on Betfair Price shortening everywhere here. Unbackable normally but he won the doubles here last year and being local is likely to have acclimatised to the conditions, Gstaad is 1000m above sea level. Brown has a terrific serve but has lost over and over again on clay to even lower ranked players than Lammer. He played singles and doubles bundesliga matches yesterday and only arrived last night. So I don't think he's prepared at all. Small stakes as there's plenty of much better matches coming up.
Easy for Lammer. 7-5 7-5. Brown ok on serve, 12 aces, but very poor return stats.

  6. Re: Tennis 19-25 April

Thanks for this! :nana I took a small bet on it (probably should have gone bigger) as soon as I saw that you put Monaco had lost to Berrer on clay. I saw Berrer against Nadal and he was atrocious. Great stuff. Thank you!
Cheers mate. I had a good feeling about it and it worked out nicely.
  7. Re: Tennis 19-25 April Monaco's odds lengthening a bit. He played bad against Jarko and lost to Berrer who never plays on clay. May not be 100%. Gimeno-Traver has some ok results on the dirt this year, he beat Alamgro, and took sets off Nalby, Montanes and Gasquet. Gimeno-Traver @ 4.00 on boylesports Lay Monaco 2-0 @ 1.85 on betfair

  8. Re: Tennis - 22-28 February

Bolleli over Melzer? That was always gonna be a loss. and Ljubicic over Tsonga i would never punt on.
Nice bit of useless aftertiming. And Tsonga is still ill. I wouldn't bet on a sick player. "I've done nothing but sleeping during the last three days. Oh no, I've also eaten some bread and a bowl of rice."
Does anyone actually have any extensive tennis knowledge? Former junior player? Knows techniques well? Tennis coach? Some of the selections arent too great. Im assuming you like to collect the underdog victories? The rest of the favourites seem like they would go through the round pretty easily, this round at Dubai. I would be surprised if there was any major upsets apart from the Robredo - Melzer match, that will be close.
People here know their stuff and put a lot of effort into their write ups. Either make a strong constructive argument against their reasoning before the match or else kindly stfu.
  9. Re: Tennis - Australian Open

Careful with Juan Carlos Ferrero. He withdrew from Auckland after twisting his ankle and it might be worth laying him on anywhere that doesn't void retirements' date= backing Dodig to take a set or else waiting and doing something inplay when his condition and the direction of the match is clearer.

  10. Re: Tennis - Australian Open Smeg, could you do us a favour and put in some spaces and paragraphs, take out all the distracting exclamation marks and maybe use bold for players' names? It's really hard work reading your posts which is a shame because you've obviously put a lot of effort into researching your picks.

  12. Re: UEFA Europa League » Dec 02

Salzburg DNB @1.9 Lazio are very poor lately.Don't know about teams news and how serious they take Europa but i'm sure they will think about domestic league as they not doing well at the moment.Salzburg are top of the table with 4 wins and i don't know why bookies give price @2.6 for them at home?Perhaps they will rest some players,i don't know but i'll take DNB as safe option.
A couple of other things to note here are that Salzburg play on an artificial surface and Lazio play Roma in their big derby on Sunday. The visitors are struggling to score in Serie A, (9 goals in 14 games) and rely on Zarate a lot since Pandev is out of the picture. If he doesn't start, that's one more advantage for the home side.
  13. Re: Tennis: ATP Moscow/Stockholm and WTA Moscow/Luxembourg

Anyone heard anything about Wozniacki throwing her match deliberately ?
I was watching it. Woz's dad came on at 3-0 in the 2nd and told her to call the trainer at 5-0 and retire, Polish guys on the betfair forum translated, and that's what happened. Local girl goes through. 1.01 smashed. I'd be amazed if there isn't a huge stink about this.
  14. Re: Brazil » Série A (19/20 sep)

Brazil Brasileirao 19th September 09 - 23.30 CET - Nautico Recife - Atletico Mg Coach's Nautico Recife, Geninho, will be without 7 regulars: striker Gilmar (10 goals) sold at France’s Guingamp, Beto Acosta, David, Juliano, Fernando, Anderson Lessa and Ferreira all injured. Náutico 3-5-2 Glédson Márcio, Cláudio Luiz, Asprilla Patrick, Derley, Nilson, Aílton, Michel Carlinhos Bala, Márcio Barros
I think 3 of the missing players, (David, Fernando, and Ferreira) have only made 1 or 2 each appearances each.
  15. Re: Tennis: US Open

Zheng @ 2.00 on sportingbet. I don't think Petrova is fit' date= she's been struggling since Wimbledon and so far in the USO has only beaten Srebotnik (her only match this year) and very poor Coin who took her to a tiebreak in the 2nd. She'd normally be a solid favourite here given the H2H and everything but Zheng has some decent wins on the north american hardcourts with no particularly odd losses this year and if it goes to 3 sets I'd fancy her to have the stamina to take it.
Not even close. Easy win for Petrova. :$

  17. Re: Australia » A League (28-30 August)

HOW ON EARTH HAS HE MISSED?! 94th minute to win the game for Adelaide and he heads wide from the 6 yard box. What a game. I need a beer now..
Well 3 goals after the 83rd min or thereabouts was probably enough heh. Last season I worked out that this league was particularly good for late goals in overish looking games and was ideal for inplay punting. I didn't fancy more than 3 in this one as I agreed with your analysis but let's see what happens with Perth v Melbourne. http://www.punterslounge.com/forum/1273392-post5.html I'll go through this season's matches soon and see if the trend is continuing.
