    Well I was pretty consistent this week with 4 Final Tables, but haven't played any cash so won't be near the top of the leaderboard.........at the end of the day it's up to Stan James how they run their Promos and there's still good value to be had...it's also pretty quick from start to finish. (It was a bit unfortunate that they didn't specify the Raked Hands right at the beginning) Other notables Hawaii501 (Wayne Mardle) almost reached the Final Table:clap RB was disconnected most of the night but managed to defend his BB at least 3 times for a commendable 16th place:lol TQM
    For sure they are good value and if you just play to get some money as opposed to winning the mini league then thats cool.... To have the highest tournament points and realise that you could have won it ....(if its really worth the hassle and the potential money lost earning those raked hands points) then you would agree that its a "little" one sided towards cash... Of course Stan James set the rules and whilst Gibraltar was worth it I don't think Blackpool is worth wasting time over :tongue2. Each to their own etc etc...

    Re: betfair poker is dire I've played Betfair for 6 years and still I struggle to come to terms with this site.... at least at cash where it tends to hit hard on the river .... I must admit it is on a par with Pokerstars cash which is totally surreal at times ..... I see so many times where someone has a monster hand and the river will nearly always make someone (only 2 or 3 in pot) else a monster so they feel "obliged" to call .... obviously without their 3 / 4 outer hitting they aren't going to call a bet on the river ... thats alot of rake over the site per day .... Today .... 5 5 7 5 K ..... he has 5 ... i have KK but only call a double my bet reraise on river .... Also 10 s 6d Js .... 9s 6c .... he has Ks Qs .... I have J J .... these were both omaha hands .... but its so uncanny how the RNG gives me the river both times to complete a pretty strong in both cases .... At the time I don't think there are many players who would fold ... in hindsight yes both are easy folds ..... or knowing the sites inside out they are DEFINITELY easy folds ....:sad. I have this strange thing at the moment where I read it pretty well but call "just incase i'm wrong" .... crazy really ......:rollin.

    Re: Betfair Poker Error Go to control panel .... User accounts ..... Change your account picture .... click on a different picture .... change picture .... Then click at bottom "Turn user account Control on and off" ..... continue ... then unclick box "Use user account control (UAC) to protect computer" ...OK it .... then restart pc or laptop .... You can now now download Betfair .... when complete go through same process then click box "Use user account control (UAC) etc" ..... then OK it ... and restart !!! I do think Betfair is a complete pain and how it disappears off screen when you open another site up ....!! Just done to keep us on there I think ...:unsure.

    yes you can win it just through rake but you have to play the game at night for the rake to count that you made that day does that make sense
    Yes Kippe , cheers mate ... I just find it crazy that if the daily points were spread over the whole field ie different pts finishers each night , then someone could get no points and still win on raked hands ... Do you know what max raked hands points is btw please ??

Baby ... :lol Its one of those moments when you get in the "spotlight" that you wish you hadn't picked the alias you joked about doing before the tournament starts .... The vixen girls did say they loved my name the week before though ....:loon..... but this was probably a ploy to get me to join their chat/dating agency they work for ....:sad Yeah cheers i'm lucky ... do you play these m8 ??

I know it seems alot of time for whats on offer maybe but it took 5 hours or more to finish. The last 3 alone was a great game in itself as I went down to 20K vs 130k and 320K !! I had some grief off the eventual 2nd (who gave me grief when I won last week) ... so it spurred me on to be honest to win in the end. He couldn't get his head around the fact Tina played as well.. two different addresses as well ...!! He accused me of MULTI - ACCOUNTING because the aliases are similiar and "you play the same way" ...!!!!!... (cheers Mr Villian ... er not lol) and went on and on and on .... There are 3 x $100 bounties as you know plus overall its not the usual all in every hand at the end that some tournies become. I was surprised no more PL's were in to be honest .... I need some competition :rollin:rollin:rollin. We would probably fill FT in all honesty. I will play the rest to be honest as they are all freerolls for me .... maybe I may loosen up in the rest ...lol. On a point GaF made about bounties .... i had 19k and a bounty was all in ... I had 10 6 ..... guy with 50K had reraised all in with 4 others plus bounty ..... guy wins with A5 ..... it came 9 10 2 6 A .....:lol .... so i'd have won the bounty and trebled up plus a bit more...:\. The moral is that I really wanted to win and thus the bounty was secondary .... I won $229.50 so it was justified this time .... (I think:unsure)

I fully understand your reasons and can relate to those myself as I am in a quandry myself. I am doing very well since talking to Paul and as you point out he basically reinforces what we should be thinking every hand. I feel this sort of offer better suits those with little day to day "responsibility" ... be it work , kids , etc etc. Working around these situations and trying to play badbeat requirements can seem a little daunting. Good luck to all those who try their offer :hope

I can honestly say that after my one hour listening to Paul Rigg the other week it has totally transformed my game ... Sounds crazy but he really has made me think about certain situations so I thank him for that. I really don't want to play 6000 hands for a cash sponsorship but I wouldn't mind playing cash ...:unsure ... conversely if I played 100 STTS (not as high as $50) .... and did well on Grandslam i'd be tempted to go it alone .... Decisions , decisions ...... Keep us posted as some others have mentioned please .... I feel we can all become better players through mentoring but i'm surprised Phil hasn't snapped the offer up as he doesn't have to prove anything :dude ...... I play here , there , every flipping where so I have to play on Grandslam before I can be considered...

Hey ooblio .... great to see you qualify for the badbeat sponsorship as I had a few questions please. In these early stages have you felt your game has altered in any way ?? Do you find playing with badbeat money is an added pressure as you mentioned the loss for that one day ... Paul Rigg told me one guy lost 90% of his "50/50's" and that alone caused a consistant loss that meant he got "sacked". Is there a way to blank these (small in your case) blips out of your mind for the next day ... The answers to these questions are probably apparent but I just wanted a "first hand" experience off you please before I embark on the qualification process etc. I just wander whether sponsorship is worth pursuing because if I was profitable and managed my account accordingly ...:unsure .. then I would get 100% of winnings. This means if I played 100 STTS and made eg $300 on Badbeat , I could play only 50 STTS and make the same $300 playing with my own money..... or so the theory goes. Thx in advance.

The sad thing was alot of guys drooling over the vixens lol .... I had to tell them "no I can't take you out or I will have no nuts left" ...:unsure ..... :cry. It was all a publicity stunt for some dating site they front ....... :eek....
