Re: **Poker Wednesday 15th March** Yeah I only had about 8* big blind left so had to make a move with them due to go up again in another 2mins, thought I'd got lucky till the river :( Thanks for all the good luck lads - wasn't enough though :lol Went out in 32nd place, didn't pick up many good hands and to be honest I could probably have played the marginal hands I picked up better. There will be plenty of other opportunities though :dude

Re: **Poker Wednesday 15th March** Thanks. I'm expecting the opposition to be quite tough but I've got a decent chance and its a hell of an incentive. I'd give myself about a 12/1 chance of making it ;)

Re: £60,000 in 12 months (No really)
:lol That was my first thought.Just tell me one thing, are you related to a guy called Fender? :D
What is your staking system?I do not intend for anyone to back any of my selections, and to be honest without the correct staking system you would be at a dissadvantage. -
Re: Ladbrokes $100,000 weekly freerolls Yeah I've just been looking at the structure in the lobby. Doesn't bother me to be honest, still great prizes for a freeroll and wouldn't mind playing in the Poker Million actually :tongue2

Re: Ladbrokes $100,000 weekly freerolls I thought the seats were in addition to the cash prizes GaF? I haven't been able to play in these the last few weeks, but I will be back in tonight

Re: PARTY POKER FREE $20 CASH!!! haha I've got $50 and the same email, strange as I've been playing there a bit last few weeks. They must be doing alright for rake out of me I guess, but still its nice to get a bit back :)

Re: EW Double System Thats an amazing yield slapdash. You must be delighted, especially as its from a reasonable number of bets. Well done and keep up the good work

Re: The Muppet Hands GaF :clap Fantastic post, totally agree :) To be honest I was sick of coming into this forum only to read a load of crap threads about bad beats, muppet plays and fixed software.

Re: something dodgy I just found another :eek

Re: STT Strategi Thing is GaF you have to expect long losing runs as well as the odd nice run of results. Thats just the nature of the game. It doesn't necessarily mean you have played badly and need to re-consider your strategy. During the last 6 months of 2005 I had a ROI of 40.63% on STTs which was way above my expectations, that included some great runs and some not so great runs.. the longest being a 10 game losing run. Anyway, what I'm saying is sometimes you just have to play through it and look at the bigger picture. Having said that there's never any harm in looking back at how you've played and ways you can improve your game.

Re: Rivercard Poker Festival Thanks for the info FT. I might have a go at the £300 NL event

Re: Mr I's Tennis Record
I'll believe it when I see it ;)I will do a full update tomorrow, promise:tongue2 -
Re: EW Double System Nice system you've got here slapdash, well done

Re: think ineed a break from poker Maybe I read this wrong....you need a break because you lost $45 on a $0.50/$1 table? Surely that is a relatively small amount to lose - what is your bankroll? and why are you sitting down on a $0.50/$1 table with only $45?

Re: Ladbrokes $100,000 weekly freerolls Just gone out. Didn't see many good hands and with the blinds getting big I decided to make a move with 99 only to come up against AA. Down to you GaF :)
-
Re: Ladbrokes $100,000 weekly freerolls Yeah they accept neteller gazza. At the moment you need 500 raked hands between saturday and friday. They have been known to change it but I doubt they will again.

Re: Ladbrokes $100,000 weekly freerolls I'm in, good luck guys

Re: Bet365 cracking down on whores
Hmmm..... that'll be why you haven't got around to updating your tennis thread ;)So I played 741 raked hands yesterday:eek. No wonder I didn't get much done:lol -

Re: Ladbrokes $100,000 weekly freerolls in January Re: TT, JJ & QQ. Maybe you are showing your opponents too much respect GaF? Some people at those levels are capable of playing any two cards and will call bets on the flop with trash. TT, JJ and QQ are very difficult to play. Not sure of the exact percentages but I believe with TT you will see an overcard on the flop something like 75% of the time and with JJ its around 60%. (Anyone know the exact figures?). One option is to limp in pre flop, it disguises your hand and if you hit a set you're laughing. It also allows you to get away from the hand cheaply if overcards hit. I wouldn't recommend this as a rule (especially with QQ) but it can sometimes be a good move depending on the style of the opponents you are facing. I personally prefer to raise pre flop (most of the time ;) ) but if you are going to raise pre flop then in my opinion you have to be prepared to bet on the flop even when scary overcards hit.

Re: Ladbrokes $100,000 weekly freerolls in January Cheers Slapdash :lol 1024th this week. Lost a lot of chips early on when I had to fold a set due to four hearts on the board. Decided to make a move with AQ, but opponent with AT hit a flush :( Good luck GaF
