  1. Re: **Poker Wednesday 15th March** Yeah I only had about 8* big blind left so had to make a move with them due to go up again in another 2mins, thought I'd got lucky till the river :( Thanks for all the good luck lads - wasn't enough though :lol Went out in 32nd place, didn't pick up many good hands and to be honest I could probably have played the marginal hands I picked up better. There will be plenty of other opportunities though :dude

  2. Re: **Poker Wednesday 15th March** I'm playing in the WSOP weekly final on laddies tonight - qualified for it last night. Entry is $750 + $50 with 1 in 20 winning this: $12,500 in WSOP Event buy-in’s $1,500 NL HE warm-up event on Tue 25th July $10,000 Main Event commencing on Fri 28th July $1,000 Consolation event on Thu 3rd Aug, if you do not make the last 1,400 in the Main Event or $1,000 cash if you finish 1,399th or lower, but outside the money. $2,500 Travel and expenses allowance Paid into your account within 7 days of package being won. $3,000 of free accommodation for two at the Rio 14 nights 22nd July to Sat 5th August Extended to 12th August if you reach the last 600 in the Main Event Additional Ladbrokes Hospitality in Vegas including Welcome Party Now that is a tasty prize :tongue2

  3. Re: The Muppet Hands GaF :clap Fantastic post, totally agree :) To be honest I was sick of coming into this forum only to read a load of crap threads about bad beats, muppet plays and fixed software.

  4. Re: STT Strategi Thing is GaF you have to expect long losing runs as well as the odd nice run of results. Thats just the nature of the game. It doesn't necessarily mean you have played badly and need to re-consider your strategy. During the last 6 months of 2005 I had a ROI of 40.63% on STTs which was way above my expectations, that included some great runs and some not so great runs.. the longest being a 10 game losing run. Anyway, what I'm saying is sometimes you just have to play through it and look at the bigger picture. Having said that there's never any harm in looking back at how you've played and ways you can improve your game.

  5. Re: think ineed a break from poker Maybe I read this wrong....you need a break because you lost $45 on a $0.50/$1 table? Surely that is a relatively small amount to lose - what is your bankroll? and why are you sitting down on a $0.50/$1 table with only $45?

  6. Re: Ladbrokes $100,000 weekly freerolls in January Re: TT, JJ & QQ. Maybe you are showing your opponents too much respect GaF? Some people at those levels are capable of playing any two cards and will call bets on the flop with trash. TT, JJ and QQ are very difficult to play. Not sure of the exact percentages but I believe with TT you will see an overcard on the flop something like 75% of the time and with JJ its around 60%. (Anyone know the exact figures?). One option is to limp in pre flop, it disguises your hand and if you hit a set you're laughing. It also allows you to get away from the hand cheaply if overcards hit. I wouldn't recommend this as a rule (especially with QQ) but it can sometimes be a good move depending on the style of the opponents you are facing. I personally prefer to raise pre flop (most of the time ;) ) but if you are going to raise pre flop then in my opinion you have to be prepared to bet on the flop even when scary overcards hit.

  7. Re: Ladbrokes $100,000 weekly freerolls in January Cheers Slapdash :lol 1024th this week. Lost a lot of chips early on when I had to fold a set due to four hearts on the board. Decided to make a move with AQ, but opponent with AT hit a flush :( Good luck GaF
