Re: hypothetical stt question Depends if I've played any of the players before, how many are playing and what the stakes are but I reckon roughly speaking I would call about 40% of the time, raise to 3*BB about 40% of the time and raise 3-5*BB the other 20%.

Yeah i got TILT as well, not sure why. Pleased with mine although I haven't played many STTs at betfair over the last year so it is a very small sample.

Re: Your poker History Been playing poker with mates on and off since I was about 15 or 16, which was about 8 years ago. Started taking it more seriously and playing online about 2 years ago. I guess I got into it because I always enjoyed card games when i was a kid and I like to gamble. Got into online poker and started taking it more seriously when i realised I could make decent money at it. Poker hero would have to be Doyle Brunson, love to watch Gus Hansen though I have to say

Re: NCAA Winner? Free £20 Bet I know what you mean Slapdash and I would never put it on a really short odds selection (that would be stupid unless the stake was included in the return). Trouble is usually the bigger the price the more unfair it is. I'm exaggerating my point here... but say for instance your 34.0 shot were a fair price of 67.0 and my 5.75 shot were a fair price of 6.0 You would have a 1.5% chance of winning £660 and I would have a 16.6% chance of winning £95. That would roughly give me an expected return of £15 and you a tenner. What i'm trying to say is I reckon somewhere in the middle is the best option and as you mention checking bookies/exchanges is a good idea to try and get as fair a price as possible on a fairly unlikely result.

Same here ATM- only doing 4 days a week work now so I have more time for betting/poker. Yeah I did quite well out of the ladbrokes raked hand freeroll which gave my bankroll a nice boostWorking for a living, but making more through poker. -
