    Re: WSOP Qualifiers... where to play?? Right I've had an "interesting" afternoon. I've got upto level 3 three times only to bubble each time in 6 or 7th. Worked my way back up from Lvl 1 which obviously takes time. I'm a bit pissed off after getting rivered so my two pair gets beat by a str8 so I'm gonna take a break for the evening and do something else for a while.

    Re: WSOP Qualifiers... where to play?? Just thought I'd update how I'm getting on with this.... Now this might be cocked thinking... BUT Having played a few MTT's thinking the odds on me winning one of these are quite long and even after qualifying for a cpl of final's. I then have to battle thru and try and win one of those. So I've kinda given up on that Idea at the moment. So thats moved me to STT's. I'm playing the Pokerstar ones. Started out at the Bottom level of $7.50 (there are 6 Levels in all) 10 seater. 5th gets $1.50 return (this changes to a ticket to the lower level after level 1). 3rd & 4th when a ticket to replay the level and 1st & 2nd Advance. After being stuck on Level 2 for a few games (coming 3rd in both) I've now got to Level 3. Get in!

    Mental Mindset & Switching Gears

    Hey all, I've always been more of a tournament player, have never really been able to "get stuck in" to cash games where u need to grind a bit more. But I'm having a bit of trouble switching my mindset from when I'm playing lots of MTT and then start playing more STT's. It takes a lil while to switch the gears. Anyone got any tips on how you approach both differently... slight changes in play etc?

    Hey all, Just wondering what sites the majority of you are planning on using for qualifiers for the WSOP this year? I've been making a real conscious effort since last year to improve my game enough to have a chance of the trip. so wanna make the most of my chances. Stooo

    Re: When you've been losing... Well i decided to stop wasting my own money and strip things back to the basics. Went back to playing play money 47 player sit and go's on pokerstars as you generally still have to play not bad poker to win them consistently. have put a quite a few hours in over the last cpl of days on them and have been hitting the freerolls. Its gone ok actually. Won more play money than i can count lol and just cashed in a freeroll on pokerstars. came 592nd out of just under 6000. So I'm quite pleased with my play actually.

    I stopped playing recently for about 4/5 weeks. Nothing conscious i was just too busy to play with work. Now before my break I was almost always up after a session. and now I seem just not able to get "into" games if you get me. any ideas of how to get out of this cycle?

    Re: things in poker that make you think WTF the poker gods are capricious at times. was playing in a Live game at the Grosvenor Cardiff and some fool was moaning cos i called his min raise with suited connectors and hit both on the flop to beat his pocket Q's. his exact words were "FFS. you could have at least had pocket 10s. I ****ing hate Internet players they're shit" next hand... they're my pocket tens. He pushes all in. I called. He turns over Pocket 9's but the look on his face was priceless when I told him he should be careful what he asks for. he just might get it.
