  1. Re: Unbelievable luck I think with the AA you werent really THAT unlucky. Its one of those coin flip situations that sometimes goes your way and sometimes doesn't. you were what? 60/40? in front at the start. The second situation was pretty sick, but then again it happens. What pisses me off is when you get some like AJ. Hit both on the flop. Get all your chips in and someone catches the last card for the Straight to the Ace on the river. ARGH!

  2. Re: Make the play part whatever.. I'd be reluctant with a shove there. You're showing strength all the way through. Shoving screams that you have hit on the ace. Checking I'd consider, but then he might think "hmmm there's a lot out there that can beat me, do i want to risk anymore chips? and just go to the showdown" So I'd raise most prob the same as Daftpegasus aroung the 200-240 mark.

  3. Re: Betfair - Easter Beast and I'm out in 23rd. Soz guys. Blew my lead down to about 7k on one hand when some guy rivered the straight and i had top pair. dbl'd up back to 15k. then my top pair got beat by two pair. I'm pissed off with myself but never mind.

  4. Re: Betfair - Easter Beast Thought I'd post and give a quick update as i did last time and that turned out well. 135 entered. Just got to the first break. 67 remaining. and I'm chip leader with about 17k ahead by about 6k.

  5. Re: Betfair - Easter Beast

Betfair havn't contacted me yet but I'm now showing up in the 111kGTD so looks like I have won a seat worth $550 for around 40 cents as I had like 3 rebuys :loon
Thats pretty frickin good. I've noticed that the freeroll just got me thru to a final one on sat. So I'm gonna be battling through again and with any luck taking the other players down to funky town! And then seeing you in the other tournament.
  6. Hey all, Was just curious what kind of strategy you are employing in the later stages of tournaments.... I'm finding that when it gets down to the last sort of 20 when the blinds are high and everyone is just trying to hold on as suh, that i feel i might be acting a lil too tight here and so I'm seeing my stack go down cos of the blinds then i make a stupid play. So yeah I was just curious about what you lot are generally thinking at this point.... the tactics you employ. Cheers in advance! Stooo

  7. Re: Hellmuth AA v KK v AA

Myself and teaulc were in the audience for this' date=' I know this is edited highlights but the whole hand took about 20 minutes to play out. Beth Shak :@ talk about playing up to the camera's come the turn card I was ready for running on naked and shoving her aces where the sun doesn't shine.[/quote'] lol
  8. I'd consider myself still a beginner as such and I'd like to learn more about the game, strategy stuff like that. Can anyone recommend any good online resources or books etc which have helped them lots?

  10. Re: WSOP Qualifiers... where to play?? I know most of you probably aint interested... BUt here's how i got on tis afternoon. Originally continued with the STT's on pokerstars still seem to be busting out @ LVL 3 which sucks to get back to again. So i thought I'd change tack a bit and play a DS Satellite for the $650 Main Event Qualifier. Won my first table easily. Played what i thought to be very solidly on final table until the end when i bubbled in 3rd after being chip leader for most of the table. I think i found that it was such a slow actionless table that i got a lil bored. Not much i think i could've done with the last hand (except maybe not play it at all)... Here's the history...
