    Re: Horse Racing Glossary / Q&A anybody know of a website that will indicate wether a horse is a front runner or a hold up horse or is it just a matter of trailing through the results on the racing post site, no problem if it is, just wanted to know if there was a site that listed this thought this place the best to ask :ok

I [b']know the short-term ratings take into account the recent circumstances, but I do NOT think this is necessarily an accurate indication of how a team will perform in the next match. I reiterate that I have more confidence in the long-term ratings. no problem and good luck :hope was just trying to be helpful. as you had called the system 'Yet Another Paul Ross Ratings System' :ok still fab results though :)

    Re: Yet Another Paul Ross Ratings System I see what your saying about the season ratings, but the Paul Ross method is all about getting value for the now, who is on a good run and whos out of touch, the true pedigree of a team is over the whole season like you say but every team has a dip in form so when you say I put more faith in such ratings compared with "the last 4 games" or even "the last 6 games". For me, any team has its ups and downs over a short period... factors such as sendings-off, bad ptch conditions, injuries to key players, involvement in Cup competitions etc. can affect a team´s short-term performance this is exactly the thing the Paul Ross method would pick up as those sort of things would not get noticed much in the season ratings, but would in the last 4 games ratings :ok the Paul Ross method is the one Cavelloman has made so succesfull in his posts (which he looks like he is stopping) your system is working fantastic, so keep going :clap perhaps you should just change the name of the thread ;) to get the Paul Ross ratings, got to all fixtures and then in the top right hand corner is a turn ratings on button :ok

    Re: Cheltenham Festival....Who's Going? yep I'll be going, still not made my mind up on either Tuesday or Wednesday gotta say I do love going on the Tuesday, for me its my favourite day of racing and love the Cheltenham roar to get things going used to go gold cup day, but its just far to busy for me trying to drink, bet and piss!! :lol went last year on the Thursday and its very quiet (compared to the other days)

    Have just been looking through my selections for today.... obviously, I´m not going to change anything, but the Home Lay on Sampdoria looks a bit "iffy". Sampdoria have one of the best recent home records, whereas Napoli have the worst away record. Can´t understand why the PR Ratings made them so closely matched. Anyway, I stick to the "system" predictions.... shall we see :hope:hope
    graet start to your new system, just watching it myself i thought that selection was weird the PR ratings has it 19.5 in favour of Sampdoria, so not close, perhaps a misread

    Re: MadnessTrebles Just watched the Spurs v Manchester Reds match online - being a Spurs fan, I thought it was going to be my lucky day, only for the latest equaliser known to man! Bloody hate 'em :@!! Im with you there mate, love my football, I will watch any (non league etc), but Man Utd hate them to the core, Im a Saints fan and dont even dislike Pompey as much as Man U, think its more to do with being bought up in the south and being surrounded by so many 'genuine fans' great stuff on getting the treble up :ok
