Re: Betfred flash ad causes 99% CPU usage no idea either and unfortunately you can't see it happening now as the ads have changed to the static or horizontal scrolling one and it was the vertical ad that caused the problem.

Re: Betfred flash ad causes 99% CPU usage As with F. I don't think specs are an issue as I have a more than adequate PC. I can't say whether or not the ad was flash based as I never checked but it was the one that scolled the odds of matches. Since moving to the static picture ad, there has been no problem. I also made sure that it was definately the betfred one that caused the problem before I posted by refreshing many, many times to cycle through the ads and checking my cpu level at each point. The BF ad consistently sent my CPU to 100% on both firefox and I.E. hope this helps

Re: Betfred flash ad causes 99% CPU usage Looks to be sorted now :ok

Re: Betfred flash ad causes 99% CPU usage Still not fixed. BetFred banner causes my CPU to go 100% using Firefox 2.0.0.6. Easy enough to refresh until I get a different banner but still annoying and obviously affecting numerous people.

Struggling
in Poker
Re: Struggling
Yes, Mrs.Hype would soon be getting them boltcutters out if she found him spending $50 on a poker game!!! :$ :$ :loon It'll swing in your favour eventually 2damn. Just read the second harrington book I lent you for some tips ;) :tongue2Whilst I understand Pene's point of view, it would be impossible for 2Damn to play a $50 STT, for the same reason it's impossible for me too. -

Re: pokeroffice 2006
Unfortunately there is not a single one out there due to the lack of any kind of information (ie. hand history, memory scraping etc..) that can be extracted from the Boss Media apps. Time for BM to start providing access to the masses or they may just see the masses go elsewhere (I for one have stopped playing at SO for this very reason). Is there a good hand recorder for SO(boss media) -

Re: PKR Beta testing Had a brief play the other night and while it does add a fancy touch to a poker game I think there are a few things that will put quite a few people off such as: 1 - The initial download. I forgot to check the exact size but it took me over 15 minutes at full speed (~200k/s) on a 2MB line. That's a large download for those users on 56k modems (and that's still a large percentage) 2 - Memory requirements. Was running at over 300MB of ram on my PC (I have 1GB DDR). Again, most home users have 256/512MB so it will struggle on there. 3 - CPU Usage - constantly running at around 40-60% percentage usage (2.4 GHz P4 on my PC). Not great and you certainly couldn't multitable on this site! The graphics felt very stuttery when I played. There was about 6/7 on the table with half of them doing chip tricks etc. Felt like it was running at a framerate of about 5fps, not easy on the eyes at all! I think the idea is great and will certainly attract a lot players who just play for fun but I really don't think it will be one for those that take their poker a little more seriously.

Re: CD Poker
lol, I've just had the same. Lost my money from 2 limit tables which closed down with 'Table not available'. Nothing returned to my account and no-one answering on live chat. Have just fired off an email to them....I want my money back!!!:cryThis bloody site keeps kicking me off and not returning the money to my account.... OK it does seem to come back eventually but when I'm on a table where you can use a net instead of a rod and it stops me playing, and then stops me from playing any table because it keeps my money, it make me feel like a naughty schoolboy!! And the support is absolute sh1te!! -
Re: STT strategy
The pros do this as well. The most famous one was Scotty Nguyens in the final hand of the 1998 WSOP - "If you call, it's gonna be all over, baby." Full story here: http://www.pokernews.com/news/2006/3/legends-poker-scotty-nguyen.htmHave to say one of my favourites was Jaded's "Good luck if you call". -

Re: Poker.co.uk up to $4,000 added Inter-Forum Challenge
basically it's to do with the affiliate link of the software and he plays in their freerolls and other games. To play for PL and the normal poker.co.uk. games he'd have to keep uninstalling/reinstalling whichever one he wanted to play for that night......and he couldn't be arsed to do that!! :spank :lol :lol Sorry I didn't make it tonight, absolutely shattered from work and fell asleep after putting little un to bed.:( Good performance though people :ok :DHow come 2damn was playing for G UK?:unsure -
Re: Is it possible to switch skins? that was my initial thoughts but after some probing around I'm pretty sure that they are also encrypted in some way too :(
-
Re: Is it possible to switch skins? This is one of the files Carl: Bitmap It's either not a bitmap or is encoded or has it's header missing. Trying to figure it out but not cracked it yet.
-
Re: Is it possible to switch skins? I've been trying to figure it out for a while GaF. They are not standard bitmaps (have tried other extensions too such as gif, jpg etc with no luck). I'm figuring they are in some sort of raw format, just need to get the correct bit depth and dimensions to prove it. I'll keep plugging away ;)

Betfred flash ad causes 99% CPU usage

Re: Betfred flash ad causes 99% CPU usage It's back again :@ As soon as the page loads with this ad on, CPU goes straight to 100% making the whole comp sluggish. I've tested it on 3 different pcs, both IE and Firefox and all show the same behaviour. Offending ad (odds scroll upwards): Please fix it!
