  1. This is a system which picks out dodgy home favourites with a view to laying them. Most of the lays will be odds-on, the biggest lay price is capped at 2.2. The lays are split into 2 groups. The overs group is to lay under 2.5 goals and the unders group is to lay over 2.5 goals. Starting Bank is £1000 and the lays are to a liability of 2.5% of the bank (so each game carries a total liability of 5% of the bank). The bank is recalculated at the end of the day and 2.5% is then recalculated on the new bank figure for the next days games. Saturday 11th August :hope First price shown is the home lay price and the 2nd price is the O/U lay price. OVERS (lay home team and lay <2.5 goals) 1.97 Leicester v Blackpool 1.97 1.97 Luton v Hartlepool 2.00 1.92 Southend v Leyton Orient 2.04 2.20 Brentford v Mansfield 1.86 2.08 Darlington v Wrexham 1.78 UNDERS (lay home team and lay >2.5 goals) 1.87 Peterboro v Rochdale 2.04

  3. Re: Las Vegas Desert Classic Darts I've just got back from Vegas where I watched every session on the darts. Well done to you guys on some excellent tips, shame I couldn't get on - Vegas of all places is very difficult to get a bet on 'minor' sports like darts. Also just like to say 'hi' to Gaz Blades who I watched on one of the qualifying days and he was on fire, checking out some nice finishes. Well played Gaz. :ok The darts was sponsored by Party Poker last year but didn't seem to have a sponsor this year. Also it was in a smaller room than previous years - does anyone have any news/ideas about the long term prospects for this event ? I know from reading the forums that viewers think there is a lack of atmosphere from the crowd - I myself can't face drinking at 11am ! :loon

  4. Re: The '54 Trebles' System thanks again Kev - must admit I wasn't sure of the etiquette regarding non runners but I thought since it was only 'paper testing' then it would be ok to replace it with another runner. I take your point though and I'll adhere to this in future. Likewise if non runners mean less than 8 runners in the race, then the results will still stand (although obviously only 2 placed would be paid). Anyway didn't quite manage the win treble - returns are £20.63. Loss of £33.37 on the day.

  5. Re: The '54 Trebles' System thanks very much Kev :ok It looks like in my rush to post, I didn't realise that Pret A Porter was a non runner in the last :wall . I will replace it with the next best which is Acuzio. Hopefully one of these can win to get up the win treble :hope

  6. Just trialling this to see how it gets on. The idea is to pick 3 horses in 3 different races which ideally have 8-10 runners (ie each way is paid to 3 places but their aren't many runners). The 3 horses are then permed into 3*3*3 = 27 E/W Trebles (54 Trebles in total). I'll test using sp and £1 stake, so total stake is always £54. Todays selections :hope are : York 2.40 Prospect Court York 2.40 Pick A Nice Name York 2.40 Ingleby Princess Asc 2.50 Cesare Asc 2.50 Dunelight Asc 2.50 Heaven Sent Ches 4.45 Madaarek Ches 4.45 York Cliff Ches 4.45 Pret A Porter

  7. Hi PLers I'm just looking at the form for todays meetings using the usual tools - sportinglife and patternform. In the going report for all 4 UK meetings today, the word 'soft' does not appear at all despite the weather forecast reporting a lot of heavy rain around. My question is, is there a site that has the latest accurate going reports. I think turftrax has something but I was after something that didn't require registration if possible. thanks in advance.....

  8. Re: Quickly Filling Sit N Gos thanks guys :clap I should've mentioned that I'm mainly playing $5 games. Also I deposit money currently using a Debit Card which I'd also like to do if I tried another site. Do the sites mentioned accept Debit Card payment ? I've looked at the reviews for Pokerstars and it certainly gets a good write-up and mentions that traffic is very high throughout the day so that could be a good option - I'll have a look at the Virgin reviews as well....thanks again....

  9. Hi all Just after some advice really...... I'm currently playing 10 seater sit n gos on William Hills but the time it takes to fill the table can often be upwards of 15 minutes. This is even during what I would think to be fairly busy times. Can anyone recommend any sites that they would recommend and that also fill up fairly quickly. thanks in advance. :D

  10. Re: Cheapest Sit N Gos thanks again chaps :ok I've passed all the info on and they are going to see which one they like the look of best - I'm sure their bank account will be grateful too ! ;) I agree about the lottery of the low stakes ones but I learnt on Betfairs £1 sit n gos and it certainly felt like real (albeit poor quality) poker. I moved on to William Hills when Betfair made a mess of the software and I've been happy on there ever since. I've been playing the $5 games and even making a few quid.:ok thanks to all who have taken the time to post info - much obliged.....

  11. Hello all.... I have a friend who is just learning Texas Hold 'Em and I wondered where the cheapest 10 seater Sit N Gos were ? Are there any for as low at £1 whilst he finds his feet ? (He's currently trying the $5 ones on William Hills but is losing at quite a quick rate ! :cry Thanks in advance

  12. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction...:hope All of the info I need, I have seen in print before but I can't find it online - this all used to be in the Racing Post.... 1. Record of favourites at a given track (% favourites winning with p/l) 2. Breakdown of favourites at a given track broken down by race type (ie Novice chases/HCap Hurdles etc). 3. Record of a given jockey when riding the favourite. The third point listed was in the Racing Post probably 10 years ago now....funny how this info isnt now printed now that we are able to lay horses on the exchanges !! Hmm Thanks in advance....:ok
