  1. Re: Hexham ~ 24/06/07 14:20 - Thenfold Sir (RPF 16/1) Well in all honesty this seems to me like a one horse race in Programme Girl. At the likley odds of 1/3 is not worth touching imo. Instead there is some real value to be had in the field where 9 runners pay the first 3 home. So 2 places up for grabs in a field of relative no hopers. I am going for Thenfold Sir due to his recent outing over the further trip of 2m6. Was not beaten out of sight there but will def be happer at this drop in distance. Bit of a gamble but may be good enough to run on for a place. 14:50 - Westmoreland (RPF 17/2) Big field here to get through but the advantage of that is the 17 runner handicap pays us e/w punters 4 places. Could make a case for a lot of them here but I am going for the old timer Westmoreland. Aged 11 he is the oldest of them that go to post but shows he is still game enough after a good effort lto when looked like taking a place before hitting the last hurdle. Had to settle for 4th that day but hoping for one better today. 15:20 - Moonfleet (RPF 11/1) Another biggis price horse here to take on the odds on fav. Seems to have found some decent form of lat when chasing home Westfield Dancer last month over todays distance up at Cartmel. Over a stone in her pocket on the fav in a smaller field will be an advantage and is imo the pick of the rivals to get in the frame. 15:50 - Silverhay (RPF 7/2) Form of his life at present for this honest gelding. Always tend to get a good run for your money and coming into todays race looking for a hat-trick. Experienced at todays trip and expected to go close. 16:20 - Ballynure (RPF 14/1) 4 of the runners are out of the handicap and I will not touch such entries. Top two in the weight are a stone more than the rest which imo is too heavy for the sluggish ground up at Hexham. Therefore I have narrowed it down to Ballynure. Goiung of a decent weight and clearly the pick of Lucinda Russell's two here with here usual jock going for this one. Certainly a mixed bag of results coming into this race with a victory a comfortable victory up at Carlisle in April followed up with 3 poor efforts when seemingly fancied from the odds. Has to bounce back to form soon and no reason why it can not be today. 16:50 - Nae Bother At All (RPF 8/11) Hoping for the price to go out with a couple of other likeable types in the race. However, worthy of favourtism with some solid runs under his belt of late. Early blunder lto meant he tasted mud for the 1st time in his career and with Andy Dobbin back on board will be sure to want to make ammends. Short price but likley to take the honours. GL all, :hope

  2. Re: E/W Fancies ~ Sunday 24th June 14:40 Pontefract - Reflective Glory (RPF 66/1) This seems a bit underesitimated imo. Going of the featherweight of 7st 6lb (including jock allowance) she has staggering 2 1/2 stone less than the top weights here. Both market leaders along with most of the rest are totally untried at any distance over a mile. The extra 4f in testing ground will be no easy task for most of these. My selection has had a crack at todays trip lto and was hampered and short on room when approaching 2f out. 66/1 is too big to miss.

  3. Re: Sunday Naps 14:10 Pontefract - Threestoneburn (RPF 7/2) As you would expect with a two YO maiden race their is not a lot of form to go on. One that has had a decent showing already is Threestoneburn. Similar event lto and came with a strong run at the end but did not quite get there. Now has the experience of loading in stalls and breaking etc should mean she goes close today.

  4. Re: Pontefract ~ 24/06/07 My selections for Ponte today; 14:10 - Threestoneburn (RPF 7/2) As you would expect with a two YO maiden race their is not a lot of form to go on. One that has had a decent showing already is Threestoneburn. Similar event lto and came with a strong run at the end but did not quite get there. Now has the experience of loading in stalls and breaking etc should mean she goes close today. 14:40 - Reflective Glory (RPF 66/1) This seems a bit underesitimated imo. 15:10 - Folio (RPF 8/1) Like Carl, I also fancy the experienced Folio. 3 out of his last 7 outings have been in grade 2 events coming home 1st, 2nd and third which clearly shows he is going to be dangerous in todays grade 3 contest. Ground and trip of no concern, decent jockey in the inform Durcan and def worth an e/w punt. 15:40 - Peppertree Lane (RPF 6/1) This is the race of the day. A listed class 1 event over 1m4f. On paper seems to be wide open to all bar Shahin winning in this grade in the past. I particularly am drawn to Peppertree Lane who is more of a specialist at todays trip and is bang in form this season with 2 victories in 3 starts including the paddypower.com stakes at Newbury LTO. Kevin Darley is back for the ride and should be in the frame. 16:10 - Turbo (RPF 14/1) Looking for an e/w shot here with 9 runners paying the first 3 home. Turbo fits that criteria. Well run this year with 9 appearances to date showing good form along the way with a mixture of hurdle and flat races. Cracking effort lto when narrowly beaten when staying on over a shorter distance. Prior to that some solid displays in winning a hurdle up at Kelso and a good efforts over varying distances. Is good enough to be in the picture here if on a gooing day. 16:40 - Flavius (RPF 11/10 F) Short priced jolly here but worthy imo. 3 YO maiden here to unravell but you cant oppose the form of Flavius. After only 2 starts finishing 5th out of 11 when fav on debut (well backed) - blocked in and ran green followed up with a 4th out of 13 in a class 4 event at Newmarket while keeping on close home. Down in grade today will help and far weaker race than previously competed. Must go close. 17:10 - Mahia (RPF 9/4 F) Final race of the day sees a weak class 5 6f sprint. Unexposed sort here who has only 3 races to her name. Debut came end of April and came home less than 1/2l away from winner when running on and taking 3rd in 5f class 5 race at Thirsk. Followed up by a big step up in class and trip to a 7f grade 3 in Chester when hanging badly right. Most impressive was the lto race where Mahia won easily a class 6 race at todays distance. Any repeat of that today will surely get her home in front today. GL with your picks. :hope

  5. Re: R.Ascot Tipsters Table ~ Day 4

Some excellent scores today. Good Luck Haitch. :ok I'm sure there will be many punters chasing you by 5.35 tomorrow. This is like a 2m stamina race, will you stay on or fade in the final furlong?
Mowgli - I am sure there will be plenty of position swapping before close of business tomorrow. I am just glad to be involved going into the final day... Good luck for tomorrow all lets hope for a profitable final day... :hope :hope
  6. Re: PL Royal Ascot Competiton - Friday 22/06/07 Selections

    16:20 Champiuonship Point - 15 Pts E/W Reserve: 15:05 - Boscobel 30 Pts Win
Championship Point wins @ 25/1 Boscobel wins @ 7/1 Good evening all... As you can imagine I am having a great evening. I made quite a bit of money today with Championship Point coming in at a massive price and also Boscobel to medium stakes. I have followed CP from last years Derby where I fancied him to do well... it was just a matter of time IMO. I have been for a good beer tonight as these results come by far to infrequent not to make a big deal when it does. All the best for tomorrow lad's. Haitch :ok
  7. Re: Inside Info! My 2 pennies worth. There is far too much going on in here. IMO hardly anyone in their right mind would back any so called tip here - how do you differenciate a good thing from a simple fancy. You would be far better off sticking to your own analysis and maybe following RussP and Co. 796 posts for inside information in under 3 months is bull as far as Im concerned. This thread has lost all credibility imo and if anyone has any red hot info then surley just stick it in the daily thread with the details and thats that. There is so little activity going on in the daily threads and should be addressed. By all means - stick this thread in the glory hunters forum where it belongs. Alternativley, perhaps rename this forum the Punters Lounge Inside Information Forum.... Rant Over.

  8. Re: Ripon ~ 21/06/07 16:35 - Dee Cee Elle (5/1) It is easy to miss some potential good things when a big meet is going on and quite rightly grabs all the attention. However, as you may remember last Wednesday Evening, the whole forum seemed to be on DCL. Came home 4th last week but not to disappointing as was only just done by less than 1/2 l in a blanket finish. Same trip today, same class and can go 1 better at a bigger price. I am prepared to give Johnstones charge one more chance. :hope

  9. Re: Royal Ascot ~ 20/06/07

Brilliant Rob, well done mate:clap Well done too to Haitch:clap
RussP - Thanks for the congratulations.....but.... I do not recall posting anything up that won today? As it happens (shoot the aftertimer), I did back Royal Oath but cant remember posting it up anywhere ! Just a case of getting names mixed up or am I posting in my sleep again :lol
  10. Re: Kempton ~ 20/06/07 19:10 - Alfresco (11/1) Great time of it on the AW in Spring this year. 2 victories and a 2nd showed real potential and certainly one to keep an eye on. Recently seemed to have found the mile a bit short. Upped a couple of furlongs today should really be in his favour after staying on in last 2 outings (nearest at finish lto). 8 runners pay 3 places. Has to be a bit of e/w value here and will not be a surprise to see Alfresco to the spoils. 20:10 - Kelamon (9/1) Another 8 runner handicap on the AW. This time over the sprint distance of 6f. My selection is yet to taste victory but has been placed on 4 of his 6 outings. Always runs very true and going of bottom weight here will surley give him his best chance of victory to date. Last Friday was backed in from 9/2 to start as the 11/4 jolly over todays distance on the turf at Chepstow. Only just headed on the line and connections want another quick run before he is reassessed by the handicapper. Again the 8 runners pay 3 places and I again think I have spotted real value. 21:10 - Namid Reprobate (11/1) Just read RussP's analysis and could not agree more. Dropped to class 4 company for the first time since winning here over todays distance over a year ago. Since then not disgraced in some pretty hot class 2's and will def be one to beat if he returns fir from the long break. Russ - I'm not going to echo your words any more ! I'm on. :ok

  11. Re: Yarmouth 19th June Well you know me Russ, I would rather 1 big priced winner than 3 short priced ones. Hope to get one up tonight. Yeah, Emily's place does have a negative about the break but lets face it - this is a poor race. Got a decent run in the first with my selection matched as low as 4's in running. Ah well, onto the next :tongue2

  12. Re: Yarmouth 19th June For a bit of interest I am going through the card with some big e/w fancies; 18:30 - Surdoue (25/1) Has not been seen on turf for over 2 years but has shown signs of improvement this season with a gutsy 2nd at Southwell last month (lost by a neck). Two efforts since have seen him up in grade and attempted to win from the front to no avail. Back down in grade today and a career placing on 1 in 3 leaves this well capable of being in the picture tonight. 19:00 - Pretty Bonnie (11/2) Unexposed 2 yo with only 2 runs under her belt. Progressive to say the least with a close up 3rd lto which followed up a cagey debut last month. Should have the beating of most here and jockey booking a plus. 19:30 - Supercraft (66/1) Very poor race in prospect here and I can see a big price horse not being far away. Rivals offer very little to fear this year and although a massive price here I believe now Supercraft has had a run under his belt may break well and be more on the ball than in his last attempt ! Visort and Blinkers for the first time will help. 20:00 - Emily's Place (16/1) Has not been seen since Jan. Def holds some ability after dual winner in Aug last year when obliging as fav. Had a decent spell around Christmas and should not be overawed tonight in this company. Obvious negative about the break but may come out fresh with J Quinn in the saddle. 20:30 - Hamilton House (12/1) Another sort here who has not much racing experience but will come on for his recent effort at Newmarket. Much easier tonight and if he can show any degree on improvement then is def in with more than a squeak here. 21:00 - Go Imperial (20/1) 4 runs to his name with 3 last year finishing with a credible 2nd behind the decent Blue Charm at todays distance. Has had his seasonal bow in April for his 1st outing on turf. Appeared a bit rusty that day and no doubt will be all the fresher for today. GL :hope

  13. 16:40 - Hula Ballew (Forecast price 6/1) Firstly, this chestnut Mare loves it round here. Ran 8 times and run 3 times and getting placed on another 3 occasions. 3 times course and distance winner. Seems to have hit some form recently with a 1st and 3rd in last 2 outings. 15 out of last 16 runs have been at todays trip of 1m. Placed 11 times out of the 16 + 3 4th. So you always know you are going to get a good run for your money. Has won on the soft ground so all that rain of late is of no concern. Won this race last year and in my book will take all the beating again this year. 6/1 massive price to win with only 6 to beat. GL :hope

  14. Re: Windsor ~ 18/06/07

haven't posted a selection up for a while, just been loitering! But think Veiled Applause is worth a bet tonight in the 6.35. Beaten a head by aggravation (fav) lto over C&D and now has a much better pull in the weights, so fancied to turn that form around. Seb Sanders in the saddle has won on the horse before and the ground should be ideal Not much else in the race, Veiled Applause and Aggravation stand out on form, especially now there have been 4 pulled out, so imo that makes the 5/2 a bit of value.
WP Bingers - won very cosily :clap
