Re: Pop Quiz (part XXXI) - Call, Raise, Shove or Fold I guess I would push it back since if he calls your re-raise, he won't fold after that. Also he might even fold the best hand here since you've shown strength pre-flop.. I'm not a good mtt player though..

yeah it would be useless if you were only playing HU tourneys. But if you can pass through the bubble without push/fold mode in a full or 5-handed stt, please teach me how to do that because I really wanna avoid variance. :lolis it just a case of it says All-In or Fold ? If so then maybe its not for me, I beleive my heads up is one of the better part of my STT game and I'll only occasionally been pushing All-In, and would very rarely be folding - except against a large pre-flop bet -
Re: SNG Wiz It helps you master the push or fold play by telling you if your actions were +EV or -EV and at every hand it tells you the min. range of pushes or calls that would make your move +EV(even though I had to put them manually it was really cool, and you won't have to since you can play at pokerstars or other popular sites). You can edit player calling or pushing ranges or use the default ranges, etc. It's really good if you want to master SNGs but I didn't purchase it since I can't auto-import at Paradise Poker..

Re: Had a bad beat ? Come and have a moan here I don't often post in here but I really wanted to post this since I don't understand what the hell the low buy-in SNG players are doing. Blinds are 150-300. Dealt A2 on SB and it's folded to me so I pushed my 1500. BB has 3000 and he calls with 62. I'm ahead 93%(neither of us hit anything) till the river and you can guess the river card. Would you call with 62 if you were an orangutan?

Re: STT Strategy Articles SNGwiz is a great program but I can't use that too since I'm playing at paradise poker (ffs). Looking forward to the day I will be able to deposit into pokerstars. If you are playing SNGs at a site that supports this program, I think it's worth every penny. I also read those articles listed in the SNGwiz but some of the links were dead.

this is what I tried to say (without a single number :lol). cheers mate..If you hold a lone A then the chances of someone behind you holding an Ace is: 1 Opponent to act - 15.5% 2 Opponents to act - 28.6% 3 Opponents to act - 39.7% 4 Opponents to act - 49.0% So if you are shoving in late position, the chances are you do not have an opponent with an Ace (And some of those Aces will be smaller aces than yours...) -

I don't know much about numbers unfortunately but when I'm shoving, I don't want a call and if I have to see one, I don't want to have a hand which is behind to most of the hands like 86. The reason I'm shoving A6 in late position when it's folded to me rather than early position, is because there are less hands after me therefore less chance of a hand dominating my A6. So I don't think about domination before shoving at all. Instead I push and I see people calling with KQ, KT, QJ even JT, 55 and I'm ahead. Of course sometimes they show hands like 99, AK but if I think about that before shoving, I will get blinded out. This might sound silly but if you're so afraid of people calling with any ace, then push with K6 or Q6 instead of 86. At least you would be a small underdog and there would still be some hands worse than yours.

Re: What to shove with? 8-6 is losing to almost every hand that is gonna call. A-6 is way better since people might also call with KQ, KJ etc. Besides people will call you more if they see you shove with a hand like 6-8 which you won't like of course.. But maybe they're correct I might try that sometime..

So your advices are really great and thanks a lot but I think observing the players is more important then position since if you can't observe them position will give you zero information. If you know he is a calling station you can bet with your TPTK more easily, but if he is weak and he is check calling then I know I'm beat. So I definitely need a program if I'm going to multi-table. After that it will be a lot easier..

Once I get there I guess things will be easier. I read the super system but I believe that book doesn't help much for the micro stakes games. That's a great book IMO and it helped me a lot in the live games I'm playing but I believe micro online is really different.

Re: Pop Quiz (part XXX) - Shove or Fold? this is really hard.. nice one really :ok if you fold he'll probably call if Martina's been shoving a lot so you'll end up even stacked with one of them like said in the post above.. if you shove you would probably isolate if he doesn't have a monster, but you might still lose to martina which would be useless gambling IMO. You might not isolate either which would be worse. I think since they will most probably play with each other you will make a positive move by folding and be the one that's gaining..

Re: Had a bad beat ? Come and have a moan here in a STT it's +EV to push with any two cards if you are on the SB when it's folded to you and you or opponent have less than 10xBB. A2 is way +EV in that situation. If you are folding the A2 in that situation, I'm sorry to say this but I don't think you are a winning player at STT's. Edit : If you are talking about someone else definitely ignore this post..
