Captain Ryan - from Geoffrey Deacon yard the 8yo has won eight races from 5f to 6f on ground varying from firm to good to soft and on the all-weather. He's off a fair mark back on turf and he's in with a shout. His last run was 24 days ago at Lingfield AW 5f when Third of 10 behind Fareeq beaten 2.25 lengths , The yard have Trevor Whelan in saddle and was given a warm up as yard had him in saddle in last race on AW as he usually rides him on turf.

Hajjam - from David O'Meara yard the 4yo has been a winner of five races at 7f on ground varying from good to firm to good to soft and on the all-weather. He ran here at end of July and finished 7th of 27 runners he was only beaten 1.75 lengths and was running on in final furlong , He's had a couple of lesser race since then and handicapper took 1lb off after those two races , The yard probably targeted coming back here and the 1lb off and young Conor McGovern claiming 3lbs off could see him run off 86 a 1lb less than last winning mark 87 could well find frame at big price,
