  1. Re: I Luv Wigan Been down the local tonight and the Whitehaven match was discussed at length.....What you probably dont realise is that us ( Workington Town ) hate the haven with a passion ( think Rangers Celtic ) then times it by 1000.......:lol Well i couldnt find anyone who was backing Warrington, obviousley we all have different bookies ( h/cap ) ranging from + 16 / + 22 / + 24...Everyone in the boozer was backing the Haven.........:o

  2. Re: Challenge Cup & Superleague Sun 13:10 Whitehaven +22 v Warrington -18 Ladbrokes Live near Whitehaven and i posted last week that i would take them if they got 14+......Finding out they have +22..has really made my mind up....Haven are a excellent first div 1 team and they are up for this game big time....they rested 10 players in the match against Barrow last week,6,500 expected at the game on sunday......Below is a few quotes from Warrington coach Paul Cullen..... Warrington coach Paul Cullen is tipping the Cumbrian part-timers to give his side a real scare. "They won't treat this like their Wembley, don't give it that patronizing tag. They believe they can go through to the semi-finals." said the Wolves boss. There will be 6,500 in the ground and the vast majority will want my head on a stick Warrington coach Paul Cullen "We are fully aware of that threat and fearful of it." Cullen should know better than anyone of the potential for an upset. He was coach of Whitehaven for three year when they gave St Helens a torrid battle at the Rec. in the Challenge Cup before slipping to defeat. "The St Helens tie is still spoken about on a daily basis in this town," he said. "For a good hour we had the then World Champions on the rack. It was only a piece of brilliance by Tommy Martyn that finally broke the game. "Sunday is going to be a fantastic occasion. Max bet on this match......just hope i dont end up with egg on my face.......:\

  3. Re: Superleague Round 3 Challenge cup...next week...Whithaven at home to Warrington......Paul Cullen ex Whitehaven coach visits next week (live on BBC)......Hate Whithaven but will put serious money on them if the handicap is 14+ ( at least )Whithaven are a really good Div1 side and will have a lot to prove against there former coach...This could be a big gamble for me if the handicap is large enough:cheers .....

  4. Re: Superleague Round 3

but to see Leeds choke against Wigan wouldn't surprise me at all
Inclined to agree with Peter.... Luke Robinson and Kevin Brown should start for Wigan also Chris Melling, who scored 10 kicks from 10 last week against that French outfit..... Although Leeds have dropped Mark Calderwood and Barrie McDermott both players that IMO are overrated.... Still looking forward to the match.... Probably go for Saints and Hull in a double....
  5. Re: bets... Christ.....watched the match...:cry ....I was expecting big things from Wigan this season......:unsure ....backed Wigan with the handicap...took Bradford to score with a try as the first score.....:banghead ......Its all gone tits up...Ok first competative game of the season,,,,,But Bradford looked awesome:eek ....I honestly thought Wigan would put more of a fight up than they did...seen them quite a few times last season with the younguns playing...always thought they were a class act:ok ......Anyway thats enough rambling...its only the first match of the season.....:beer

  6. Re: Rugby League Team news for Bradford v Wigan World club champions Bradford Bulls must make one change from the side that beat Penrith Panthers. Loose forward Logan Swann will have to wait for his Super League debut after injuring his knee, so Jamie Langley comes in. Former Warrington and Hull centre will make his first Bulls appearance after being selected on the bench. Bulls are still without injured captain Robbie Paul and scrum-half Paul Deacon so Karl Pratt and Leon Pryce are set to continue in the half-back positions. Injury-hit Wigan Warriors are forced to make four changes from the team who lost last year's Grand Final to the Bulls. Captain Andy Farrell joins Mick Cassidy, David Hodgson and Adrian Lam on the injured list while Paul Johnson has left the JJB Stadium to join the Bulls. But prop Quentin Pongia has recovered from a back injury and will start while loose forward Stephen Wild is swtiched to the centres. Great Britain full back Kris Radlinski takes over as captain in Farrell's absence and former Castleford stand-off Danny Orr will make his debut. I think Wigan are getting +14.....:ok Might have a few quid on them.....bookies are making wigan third faves to win "Super League" Still think Wigan have a decent side and should win with the handicap.......:b
